Hey, I'm Dr Jamie Phillips, the Chief Medical Officer at Updoc. I'm excited to invite talented doctors to join our virtual care platform and help us build a future where no patient left behind.
About Updoc
At Updoc we're redefining access to healthcare by harnessing technology to bridge the gap between patients in every corner of Australia and doctors on our platform.
When I spoke to an audience of Australian healthcare regulators and Chief Medical Officers at the Connect Virtual Care recently I shared how our tech platform, much like the military medical teams I used to lead across the globe, can bring care where it's needed most. I've seen firsthand during my military career, my time as a Remote Medicine Doctor in the Outback and Papua New Guinea and then as Medical Director at Sonder how technology not only improves access, but saves lives.
The Role
We're searching for high-quality and experienced doctors ready to deliver virtual care consultations from anywhere in Australia. This isn't just about flexible work hours or a cool tech platform, it's about doing the job you trained to do and make a real impact.
In this role you will:
- Conduct telehealth consultations with patients ranging from city centres like Brisbane to remote outback regions like Broome
- Leverage our integrated technology tools and robust clinical governance framework - something I've often discussed in my talks on how quality and safety go hand in hand with accessibility
- Collaborate with our dedicated tech and support teams to ensure every patient feels truly cared for
- Uphold our mission "no patient left behind" by continuously ensuring that care is not compromised even in the most challenging environments
About You
- You're an AHPRA-registered doctor passionate about telehealth and its potential to transform healthcare
- You know that quality care is about more than just numbers - it's about safety, trust and strong clinical governance
- You're keen to embrace new technologies and work flexibly from anywhere in Australia
There's a reason why we were awarded the Best Place to Work by the AFR:
- Flexibility: There's no set hours each day or week - you can work whenever you like, wherever you like on whatever device you have and choose which patients or areas of speciality
- The team: We hire the best and brightest people and give you the autonomy to be innovative
- Psychological safety: You'll feel safe to share your ideas and feedback openly to all areas of the business
- Updocversity: Within our people function we have Updocversity where we operate as an educational institution where you can pick up new skills through structured programs
- Diversity: 75% percent of the team are culturally and linguistically diverse
- Meaningful impact: Join a team that's set up to reduce wait times drastically - in some cases from weeks to under an hour - and ensure every patient gets timely care
- Support: Enjoy dedicated platform training, and on-demand technical assistance via email chat and phone
How to Apply
Simply click apply below and send through your interest
Let's use technology to break barriers in healthcare and ensure that quality, safe care reaches every Aussie, no matter where they live.

About the Role:
Position Overview
Canberra Health Services (CHS) is focussed on the delivery of high quality, effective, person-centred care. We provide acute, sub-acute, primary and community based health services, to the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and surrounding regions. More information can be found on the CHS website .
We are committed to workforce diversity and creating an inclusive workplace.
Canberra Health Services offers an exciting opportunity within our state of the art, fully integrated tertiary cardiology service providing comprehensive cardiac care to an estimated population of 620,000 across the ACT and surrounding Southern NSW Local Health Districts. The role is based in a contemporary, high acuity service that delivers excellence in teaching, research, service innovation and patient centred care.
Cardiology services at Canberra Hospital are centred in Building 5, incorporating the Acute Cardiac Care Unit (ACCU), Cardiac Catheter Laboratory (CCL) and specialist outpatient services. The ACCU provides advanced care for patients with acute coronary syndromes, valvular heart disease, heart failure and complex cardiac arrhythmias, supporting patients across the full spectrum of age, acuity, frailty and disability.
The Interventional Cardiology Service operates two dedicated cardiac catheterisation laboratories, performing approximately 900 coronary interventions and 1,800 angiograms annually. It provides a 24/7 primary PCI service for acute ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) across the region and supports a structural heart disease program. The service also includes simple and complex cardiac device implantation and follow-up care.
The department has offered comprehensive clinical cardiac electrophysiology services, including complex ablation procedures, since April 2019. A dedicated electrophysiology catheter lab was opened in 2024 to support this growing service.
The Echocardiography Unit performs over 4,000 studies annually, including transoesophageal and stress echocardiography, with emergency services available. A Cardiac CT program, launched in 2017 in collaboration with the Department of Radiology, further enhances diagnostic capabilities.
These capabilities position the ACT as a tertiary referral hub for advanced cardiac diagnostics and interventions.
North Canberra Hospital (NCH) complements this service with a 6 bed Coronary Care Unit and a broad range of outpatient cardiology services, including ambulatory blood pressure and Holter monitoring, ECG testing, chest pain clinics, general cardiology clinics, exercise stress echocardiography and exercise tolerance testing. With the progressive commissioning of the new Northside hospital, there is a significant opportunity to further strengthen and expand the role of NCH. Service design and future planning anticipate leveraging Northside infrastructure and capability to support the evolution of NCH as a leading hub for diagnostic and ambulatory cardiology services, aligned with broader territory wide clinical strategies and population needs.
Across both hospital sites, Cardiac Rehabilitation and Heart Failure Rehabilitation services provide continuity of care and support long term outcomes for patients living with chronic cardiac disease.
The position holder is expected to operate within the Public Sector Management Act (1994), the ACT Public Service Code of Conduct and the professional requirements specified by the appointee's Specialist College.

Design your work around your life, not the other way around.
MVS is a modern alternative to traditional specialist practice. A growing Australia-wide network of mobile veterinary specialists delivering expert care directly inside GP clinics. Built by a team who understands veterinary life from both sides of the referral ().
Mobile specialist work is a proven, established way to practice. The difference with MVS is that you get all the clinical upside of mobile specialty work without having to build and run a business. Our systems and operations are built on the model developed by Dr Geoff Nicolson over 8 years as a mobile veterinary cardiologist ().
Ultimate flexibility, on your termsYou choose where you set up. Dr Geoff Nicolson, our founder, already has an established cardiology client base across South East Queensland - but our team is equally set up to help you build a client base anywhere in Australia you'd rather be based.
If South East Queensland is where you want to be, you can hit the ground running: our existing client base there is well established, meaning you can be fully booked from day one.
Flexibility is central to how we operate: flexibility in location, and flexibility in how you structure your schedule.
The RoleYou'll travel to partner GP clinics across your chosen region, working alongside their teams to bring specialist-level cardiology care directly to the patient. Day to day, you'll be:
- Performing echocardiography, electrocardiography and Holter monitoring as the core focus of the role, using equipment we provide.
- Examining, diagnosing, and managing the broader range of cardiology cases on-site at partner clinics.
- Client communication is minimal - you'll be working almost exclusively with the referring GP vet, not directly with pet owners.
- Working collaboratively with referring GP vets rather than in isolation.
- Delivering a verbal handover to the GP vet after each visit, with complete case notes and a treatment plan following shortly after.
- Building ongoing relationships with GP clinics and remaining available for follow-up as cases progress.
- Mentoring and upskilling GP colleagues along the way.
- Focus on medicine, we handle the rest - marketing, referral growth, scheduling, invoicing, and reconciliation are all taken care of, so you never have to think about the business side.
- Fully booked from day one in SEQ - if you join in South East Queensland, you step straight into an established client base rather than building one from scratch.
- Low risk - we recognise it may take time to build out a full schedule elsewhere, so we offer a high base salary for the first 3 months before switching to a high commission structure.
- Built on a proven model - our systems are drawn directly from 8 years of real-world mobile cardiology practice.
- Set your own schedule - no after-hours or on-call expectations, and full autonomy to structure your week sustainably.
- Equipped for excellence - high-quality diagnostic equipment, integrated booking and case management systems, and ongoing operational support.
- Earn more - a low-overhead structure built around transparent, aligned incentives, so your earning reflects the caseload you build.
- Registered (or eligible to register) as a veterinarian in Australia.
- Qualified specialist in Cardiology - ACVIM or ECVIM-CA Diplomate (or board eligible).
- Comfortable working autonomously across multiple clinic environments.
- Genuinely enjoys collaborating with and upskilling GP vets, not just managing referred cases.
If you already know the value of mobile specialty work - or have been considering building it yourself - MVS gives you the same clinical freedom, backed by a proven operating model, without having to build and run the business around it. We'd love to hear from you.

Access Telehealth is expanding our national specialist network and is seeking Endocrinologists to provide Telehealth consultations to patients across Australia, with a significant focus on people living in Residential Aged Care.
This is a flexible opportunity designed to complement your existing clinical practice. Consult remotely, determine your availability and focus on clinical care while our team manages the coordination around you.
Why Join Access Telehealth? Our model has demonstrated 51% fewer Emergency Department presentations and 37% fewer unplanned hospital admissions across an internal retrospective audit of 679 residents across 11 Residential Aged Care Homes.
Focus on medicine, not administration
Our clinical and operations teams coordinate appointments, patient connection and consultation support, allowing you to focus on assessment, clinical decision making and recommendations.
Make specialist care more accessible
For older Australians living in Residential Aged Care, attending an external specialist appointment can be difficult. Our model brings specialist expertise directly into the resident's home through Telehealth, reducing barriers to timely care.
Work as part of the resident's broader clinical team
You won't be consulting in isolation. Residents are supported through a GP led multidisciplinary model involving Access Nurses, geriatricians, specialist physicians and other healthcare providers, with shared care planning and ongoing GP oversight.
Flexible around your existing commitments
Consult remotely from anywhere in Australia and nominate availability that works alongside your hospital, private practice, research or other professional commitments.
Continuity, not one off consultations
Where clinically appropriate, residents can continue seeing the same specialist for follow up consultations, supporting greater familiarity and continuity of care.
The OpportunityAs an Access Telehealth Endocrinologist, you'll provide specialist consultations and follow ups through our purpose built Telehealth model.
Your caseload may include patients requiring assessment and management across areas such as:
- Diabetes and medication optimisation
- Osteoporosis and bone health
- Thyroid disorders
- Metabolic and endocrine conditions
- Other non urgent endocrine presentations within your scope of practice
For our Residential Aged Care patients, these presentations often sit within a broader picture of multimorbidity, polypharmacy, frailty and changing clinical needs.
Our model is designed around early intervention and coordinated care. Residents receive proactive chronic disease, falls and bone health, medication and other clinical reviews, with specialist expertise incorporated when required.
Following consultation, your recommendations are communicated back to the resident's GP and care team so ongoing care can be coordinated locally.
How It WorksThe resident's clinician provides a specialist referral.
We coordinate the rest.
Our team arranges the appointment and prepares the resident for their consultation. For residents within our aged care model, an Access Aged Care Nurse supports the Telehealth consultation on site. Family members or support people can also participate where appropriate.
You provide the specialist assessment and recommendations remotely, and we help ensure the resident's GP and care team have the information required to continue their care.
About YouWe're interested in hearing from Endocrinologists who value collaborative care and want to make specialist expertise more accessible.
You'll have:
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Endocrinology, or equivalent recognised specialist qualification
- Specialist registration with AHPRA, or eligibility to obtain it
- You must be able to bill through Medicare
- Confidence managing a broad range of endocrine presentations
- Strong clinical judgement and the ability to provide clear, practical recommendations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A collaborative approach to working with GPs, nurses and other clinicians
- Confidence using technology to deliver high quality clinical care remotely
Experience in aged care or geriatric medicine is highly regarded, but not essential. Endocrinologists with an interest in diabetes in older adults, osteoporosis, bone health, multimorbidity or complex chronic disease are particularly encouraged to apply.
About Access TelehealthAccess Telehealth connects Australians with healthcare regardless of where they live.
Through Access Aged Care, our clinicians work within a coordinated model designed to identify health concerns earlier, improve access to specialist expertise and reduce unnecessary transfers to hospital.
Specialists work alongside residents' GPs, Access Nurses and care teams rather than operating as a separate service. Telehealth enables residents to access specialist expertise from their aged care home when clinically appropriate.
Interested? If you're looking for a flexible way to expand your specialist practice while improving access to endocrinology care across Australia, we'd like to hear from you.

Specialist in Cardiology - Electrophysiology - Staff Specialist / Senior Staff Specialist

It provides a 24/7 primary PCI service for acute ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) across the region and supports a structural heart disease program.
Service design and future planning anticipates leveraging Northside infrastructure and capability to support the evolution of NCH as a leading hub for diagnostic and ambulatory cardiology services, aligned with broader territory wide clinical strategies and population needs.
The preferred candidate maybe considered for a conjoint position in ANU at an academic level commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. No remuneration is attached to the University position. Lead the clinical thinking on complex adult ADHD presentations and support the clinicians around you, without nights, weekends or on-call.
The OpportunityADHD Simple was created because we saw first-hand how difficult it can be for adults to access timely ADHD assessment and treatment. Behind every assessment is someone who has spent a long time waiting for answers.
Our psychiatrists are the senior clinical voice in the service - the people our Nurse Practitioners and General Practitioners turn to on the hard cases.
This is consultant work with one specialty and a defined pathway, rather than a mixed caseload spread across an acute service.
What You Will DoAs a Consultant Psychiatrist with ADHD Simple, you'll:
- Assess, diagnose and treat complex adult ADHD presentations
- Provide senior clinical input and second opinions to the wider clinical team
- Contribute to weekly multidisciplinary team meetings and supervision
- Help shape the clinical standards and pathways the service runs on
No more than four patients a day, on average, with admin time built into the day rather than left for the evening.
What You Bring- Specialist registration in psychiatry with AHPRA
- FRANZCP or an equivalent recognised specialist qualification
- Current professional indemnity insurance
- Experience assessing and treating adults
- Interest in ADHD and neurodevelopmental health
Previous ADHD-specific experience is welcomed but not essential.
Why Join ADHD Simple? Flexibility and remuneration- Monday to Friday. No nights, no weekends, no on-call
- Work remotely from anywhere in Australia
- Full time, part time, or alongside an existing role
- CPD allowance
- Weekly multidisciplinary team meetings and supervision
- Around 80% less admin: automated note-taking, patient triage and dedicated administrative support
- An experienced multidisciplinary clinical and operational team
- Influence over clinical standards and pathways
- Option to transfer to our New Zealand or United Kingdom services
If you're looking for meaningful work and want to help improve access to ADHD assessment and treatment across Australia, we'd love to hear from you.
