We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Procurement Specialist to support the delivery of strategic procurement initiatives across UnitingCare. Working within our Procurement & Supply team, you'll play a key role in sourcing goods and services efficiently, cost-effectively and compliantly while supporting the development and execution of procurement strategies across a range of non-clinical spend categories.
This is an exciting opportunity to influence procurement outcomes in one of Queensland's largest not-for-profit organisations while partnering with clinical, operational and executive stakeholders to deliver sustainable value, supply continuity and commercial excellence
Your part in our UnitingCare team
Reporting to the General Manager Procurement & Supply, you will support sourcing activities, supplier management, contract administration and category management initiatives across a diverse portfolio. Working collaboratively with stakeholders throughout the organisation, you'll help drive value through strategic sourcing, supplier partnerships and data-driven procurement decisions.
In this role, you will:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies across assigned spend categories.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, supplier consolidation and value improvement.
- Conduct market research, supplier analysis and procurement planning activities.
- Support RFQs, RFPs, tenders and strategic sourcing projects.
- Evaluate supplier proposals and provide sourcing recommendations.
- Build and maintain effective supplier relationships while supporting negotiations, rebates and service agreements.
- Develop, review and manage contracts while ensuring compliance with procurement policies and governance frameworks.
- Partner with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver procurement solutions.
- Analyse spend data, monitor procurement benefits and identify opportunities to generate measurable commercial value.
- Support procurement operations including supplier onboarding, purchase orders, reporting and supply continuity initiatives
What makes a difference for us?
- Demonstrated experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, contract management and supplier relationship management.
- Experience leading and supporting RFQ, RFP and tender processes.
- Strong commercial, negotiation and analytical skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities.

Your part in our UnitingCare team

- Deliver savings initiatives, monitor category performance and support budgeting processes.

The Intake Practitioner is the first point of contact for all walk-in, phone-based and third-party enquiries to Gold Coast Homelessness Service. In responding to clients who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, the Intake Practitioner utilises a screening, triage and risk assessment process and provides high quality intake and assessment prior to referral to case management and/or accommodation services.
- Daily set up of the Gold Coast Homeless Hub drop-in service and follow up of any after hours enquiries via phone, email or third parties.
- Managing and responding to all enquiries by phone, email, walk-in and third parties, including QLD Homeless Information Platform (QHIP)
- Capturing required data on relevant internal spreadsheets and client management systems (SHIP, QHIP).
- Undertake screening, triage and risk assessment process with all clients seeking a housing and homelessness response, with Service Leader oversight as required.
- Provide clients with access to thorough Intake and Assessment in order to identify their strengths and needs in relation to housing barriers and housing goals.
- Manage clients who have completed Intake by providing interim support up to the point of timely allocation to a GCHS Case Worker for case management support
- Coordinate access to daily practical drop-in services including breakfast, lunch, shower and laundry facilities, phone, computer and device charging
- Build rapport and work effectively with individuals and families in crisis who present for Intake or Drop-In Access and may also be highly vulnerable
- Demonstrate strong empathy, advocacy, de-escalation and conflict resolution skills.
- Work in partnership with Regional Manager, Service Leaders and program staff to identify and assess potential risks (including child protection issues)

The Team:
The North West Regional Hospital- Intensive Care Unit are seeking dedicated and suitably experienced Critical Care Nurses to join the team and work in a Clinical Coach position.
ICU is a specialized area that requires skilled staff to care for critically unwell patients requiring organ support via ventilation, continuous renal replacement therapy and haemodynamic support. The Unit has a case mix of primarily adult patients but also cares for paediatric patients requiring ICU level support. A MET and Code Blue service is also provided to the NWRH and adjoining NWPH.
The Role:
The Clinical Coach is a senior clinical critical care nurse who combines clinical expertise with education and leadership skills to develop novice nurses in the critical care setting. The role focuses on clinical supervision, coaching, competency assessment, professional development, and promoting safe, evidence-based practice while working closely with the ICU Nurse Unit Manager and education team to build workforce capability and improve patient outcomes. The role will mainly entail an 'at the bedside educator and professional development lead' who helps transition novice and less experienced nurses into competent, confident clinicians while supporting service quality and workforce retention. Application of clinical knowledge, skills , problem solving and critical thinking will also be key to this role.

You will need:

- Demonstrated ability to use clinical coaching principles to support professional and clinical development of novice nurses and midwives.
- Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership to support the nursing or midwifery management team, and to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proven interpersonal, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills, and the ability to provide positive and constructive feedback to novices.

Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, you will provide leadership across a significant clinical portfolio including Cardiac Catheter Theatres, Day Surgery Centre, Endoscopy, Day Infusion Unit, Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department and Cardiology Ward. Your part in our St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital team
As part of our Intensive Care Unit, you will be accountable for the provision of safe and holistic care to individuals and their families, applying best clinical practice and ensuring a safe environment for optimal patient outcomes.
You’ll deliver exceptional person-centred care by working collaboratively with your multidisciplinary team, applying exceptional communication and customer service skills.
What makes a difference for us?
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience
- Grad certificate in Critical Care preferred or working towards but not essential
- Bachelor of nursing degree or equivalent and AHPRA registration
- Full Australian Working Rights
