About the role
As Lead Sonographer, you'll combine hands-on scanning with genuine leadership. Your day will include:
- Performing a broad range of studies across general, MSK, vascular, obstetrics, small parts and interventional ultrasound
- Managing and mentoring a team of sonographers, from one-on-one training of new graduates to upskilling experienced colleagues

The Kids Rehab department at The Children's Hospital at Westmead are seeking a Permanent 0.7 FTE (28 Hours per week) Staff Specialist to join their team.
What you'll be doing
Provide excellent clinical services to children and their families as part of a multi disciplinary team. The primary roles will be the AMO for children with movement disorders such as cerebral palsy and acquired injuries such as brain injuries in the Kids Rehab Services.
Participate in review and improvement activities, as well as training and education of staff.
Abide by the hospital code of conduct and participate in annual performance reviews for clinical services in accordance with the Staff Specialist (State) Award.
The Staff Specialist will ensure that;
- Clinical Services are focused on delivering excellent clinical care to children and supporting their families.
- Research and teaching is undertaken and focused on the area of Rehabilitation.
- The Staff Specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine is appointed to provide specialist medical officer involvement in the interdisciplinary care and long term follow up of children and adolescents with complex rehabilitation needs, ensuring transition to adult based services where required, following onset of disability from trauma, disease or associated with congenital conditions. Provision of specialist paediatric rehabilitation care including inpatient subacute and ambulatory (day rehab and outpatient) rehabilitation services to patients of the Children's Hospital at Westmead and highly specialised care to statewide and interstate patients as needed with neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. There is an expectation that the staff specialist will work collaboratively with other health professionals at the Children's Hospital at Westmead, within the SCHN and in the Community to facilitate access of children to specialty paediatric rehabilitation services and to improve outcomes of rehabilitation intervention for children with complex medical conditions with physical and other impairments causing functional difficulties in day to day living

About the role

Patients get fast access to physiotherapy by video, structured pre and rehab programs that get them back to what they love, and rewards for sticking with their recovery. We partner with orthopaedic surgeons to deliver physiotherapy packages to their patients, and our platform is built and in market.
We currently deliver ACL and meniscus packages for the patients of a leading Sydney orthopaedic surgeon, on both a self-funded and privately insured basis. We're now preparing to expand by bringing on more surgeons and extending into shoulder and extremity surgery.
This role could suit a physio returning to work after a career break or parental leave, or anyone looking for flexible, remote hours that fit around family or other clinical work.
The role- Deliver video physiotherapy consults for post-surgical knee patients (ACL reconstruction, meniscus repair) through the Well2Wise platfor
- Pick up an existing patient caseload as parental leave cover for several months from December
- Work with our senior physiotherapist on platform development, including pre and rehab protocols, exercise content, clinical workflows and feedback to our tech team
- Help build new programs as we expand into shoulder and extremity surgery
- Support surgeon engagement by communicating with surgeons and their rooms, reporting on patient progress and onboarding new surgeons as they join
10-15 hours per fortnight to start, increasing as we add surgeons and programs. The role is remote, with occasional in-person meetings in Sydney.
What we offer- $65-$75 per hour plus super, depending on experience

About you- Physiotherapy degree with current AHPRA registration
- 2-3+ years of musculoskeletal experience, ideally including post-operative knee or ACL rehab
- Shoulder or upper limb post-operative experience is a plus
- Comfortable delivering care by video, with Telehealth experience a plus
- A clear communicator, confident dealing with surgeons and their practice staff
- Interested in how a digital health service is built as well as in treating patients
- Self-directed and comfortable in a small, early-stage team
