The Opportunity
Based in Southeast Melbourne, you'll provide evidence-based Speech Pathology services across a varied caseload, working with clients in homes, schools, early learning settings and the community.
Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering evidence-based Speech Pathology services across a diverse caseload.
Conducting assessments, intervention planning and clinical reporting.
Collaborating with families, educators and other professionals.
Working closely with our multidisciplinary team across Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Psychology.
Managing your own diary and caseload with strong clinical, administrative and operational support.

About the Role

As Clinic Manager at Rumbalara Medical Clinic, you’ll lead the daily operations of a vibrant, community-focused health service dedicated to delivering culturally safe, high-quality care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This role isn’t just about managing a clinic—it’s about empowering teams, strengthening partnerships, and improving community health outcomes. You’ll collaborate with passionate health professionals, support staff, and external stakeholders to ensure the clinic runs efficiently and continues to be a trusted space for our mob to receive the care they deserve.
About You
You're a strong, culturally grounded leader who thrives in dynamic environments. You bring clinical or management expertise and are passionate about delivering meaningful outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
A Certificate IV or Diploma in Leadership and Management or Practice Management
A professional background as a Registered Nurse (RN), Allied Health Professional, Aboriginal Health Practitioner, or similar
Experience managing a clinic—ideally within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO)
In-depth knowledge of the local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and the social determinants of health
The ability to lead with cultural sensitivity, maintain confidentiality, and prioritise tasks under pressure
Strong decision-making skills, team leadership experience, and the confidence to guide RACGP accreditation processes

The Position
Skilled Medical is currently seeking a Head of Unit/Clinical Director of Emergency Medicine (FACEM) to commence a permanent role in a regional Victorian base hospital.
This role is approx. 0.7 FTE non-clinical and 0.3 FTE clinical with the ability to negotiate load. It offers an attractive salary and the chance to provide operational and strategic clinical leadership in a base hospital and within a larger health service group.
The Head of Unit will work in partnership with the Director and Clinical Director of Emergency and Intensive Care and the Nurse Unit Manager to provide support and leadership for FACEMs, a strong framework for teaching and professional services for medical students, interns, HMOs and emergency medicine trainees, and the highest quality care for patients within a safe and rewarding workplace.
A key initial focus will be ensuring readiness of the team to move into the new and expanded emergency department in 2027.

Designated regional trauma centre with a Tier 1 accredited training program through the Australasian College of Emergency Medicine. It currently has 35 points of care plus 12 short stay unit beds. It sees more than 56 000 presentations per year and over 23% of presentations are paediatric. The emergency department will move into a new and expanded department in 2027 with completion of the base hospital redevelopment.
