Murwillumbah Family Doctors | Northern Rivers Health Hub & Cabarita Beach Medical
This is your opportunity to step up from a traditional single-clinic Practice Manager role.
We’re looking for an experienced, capable Practice Manager who is ready to take on broader responsibility across a private, doctor owned GP and multi-disciplinary health hub . If you enjoy leading teams, improving systems, and having real influence over how a practice runs and grows, this role offers the scope and reward to match.
The Opportunity
You will lead operations across:
• Murwillumbah Family Doctors- (the core GP practice within the Northern Rivers Health Hub)
• The Northern Rivers Health Hub — a multi-disciplinary facility offering Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Pharmacy, Pathology, Beauty & Wellness, and other allied health services in a heritage-listed refurbished building
• Cabarita Beach Medical- Our smaller, but growing beachside practice.
This is a multi-site role with genuine potential and the ability to work, be part of or grow a management team. You’ll have the opportunity to shape culture, lift operational performance, and play an active part in the next stage of the group’s development.
Why This Role Stands Out
Most Practice Manager positions focus on keeping one clinic running smoothly. This role gives you wider influence and a more interesting brief:
• Operational leadership across GP and allied health services
• Opportunity to lead and develop a larger, more diverse team
• Direct involvement in systems improvement, financial performance, and service quality
• Close collaboration with ownership on the growth of the group
• A varied, progressive environment rather than a static single site
It’s a role with real scope, meaningful challenge, and the satisfaction that comes from making a visible difference.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead day-to-day operations and team performance across the sites
• Support and develop reception, nursing, and administrative staff
• Oversee billing processes, financial reporting, and operational efficiency
• Maintain high standards of patient experience and compliance
• Contribute to recruitment, rostering, and a positive team culture
• Work alongside ownership to identify opportunities for improvement and growth
About You
You’re an experienced Practice Manager (or equivalent) with a strong track record in general practice or multi-disciplinary healthcare. You’re organised, commercially aware, and confident leading teams. You enjoy solving problems, improving how things work, and taking ownership of results. Multi-site experience is highly regarded but not essential if you have the capability and drive.
The Package
This is a more senior, broader role than a typical single-site Practice Manager position. Remuneration will reflect the increased scope and responsibility, and will sit above standard practice manager packages. We also have the flexibility to split the role into multiple roles depending on applicants.
Full details will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.

We are currently partnering with a brand new regional health service in Southern NSW to recruit a Consultant Paediatrician for a rare opportunity to join a growing coastal paediatric service during a major period of expansion and redevelopment.
This is a unique chance to become part of a project and help shape paediatric services within a modern, purpose-built healthcare facility designed to support the region for decades to come.
Located approximately 4 hours south of Sydney and within reach of Canberra, this position offers the type of lifestyle many doctors are searching for - meaningful clinical work, strong team support, and the ability to genuinely enjoy life outside the hospital.
The OpportunityThe successful candidate will provide a broad scope of general paediatric care across:
- Acute inpatient paediatrics
- Neonatal care
- Outpatient paediatric services
- Developmental and behavioural paediatrics
- Outreach clinics across surrounding coastal communities
You will also play an important role in:
- Teaching and supervision of junior medical staff
- Clinical leadership and service development
- Building paediatric services within a growing regional network
- Participating in a shared 1:4 on-call roster with telehealth support across the coastal network
This role would suit someone who enjoys a varied scope of practice and would like to have genuine input into the development of regional paediatric services.
About the HospitalThe position will initially commence within the current hospital service before transitioning into a newly developed regional referral hospital currently under construction.
The new facility will include:
- Emergency Department
- Intensive Care / Close Observation Unit
- Surgical theatres and day surgery
- Expanded medical imaging including MRI
- Special Care Nursery
- Dedicated paediatric and maternity services
- Mental health services
- Modern education and simulation facilities
The hospital is being designed around contemporary patient-centred models of care and will become a major healthcare hub for the surrounding coastal region.
Why This Location Stands OutThis part of Southern NSW offers one of the most balanced lifestyles in Australia.
You can finish work and be at the beach within minutes. The coastline is known for its stunning ocean views, relaxed towns, national parks, fresh seafood, fishing, surfing, kayaking and walking trails. The pace of life is slower, the community is welcoming, and housing remains significantly more affordable than Sydney or Melbourne.
For families, the area offers excellent schooling options, safe communities and a genuine sense of work-life balance that can be difficult to find in larger cities.
Another major advantage is the location itself - while you are based on the coast, the Snowy Mountains are still accessible for weekend trips, skiing, hiking, mountain biking and alpine escapes. It is a rare opportunity to enjoy both coastal and mountain lifestyles within the same region.
The area continues to attract clinicians looking to step away from major metropolitan pressure while still maintaining a rewarding and diverse clinical practice.
RequirementsTo be considered, applicants should hold:
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) or equivalent
- Eligibility for specialist registration in Australia
- Experience in general paediatrics including acute and neonatal care
Doctors nearing completion of training are also encouraged to apply.
Salary & Benefits- Competitive Staff Specialist package as per NSW Health Award
- Relocation assistance available
- Salary packaging options
- Professional development support
- Supportive multidisciplinary team
- Modern hospital infrastructure
- Excellent lifestyle and work-life balance
If this opportunity is not quite the right fit, but you would be open to discussing other paediatric positions across Australia, please feel free to reach out for a confidential discussion -
