What you'll be doing
This position provides medical services at RPA Sexual Health in the inner west of Sydney and various outreach clinics as required. The four full-time equivalent (FTE) Sexual Health Trainee positions (of which 2.0 FTE are accredited as Advanced Training positions by the RACP Australasian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine) play an integral role in the multidisciplinary team of the Department, which includes nursing, counselling and administration staff.
The key role of the trainee is to provide testing for, and management of, HIV and other sexually transmissible infections (STIs) focussing on individuals and populations at risk of and/or of public health importance to STI/HIV transmission. Other roles include, but are not limited to, education and teaching, participation in clinic research activities, liaison with other clinicians involved in patient care, liaison with and notification to local Public Health Unit, clinical support and advice to sexual health nurses and counsellors, providing specialist sexual health advice to other Specialists, General Practitioners & other health care workers within the hospital & local area, participation in clinical audits and administrative tasks. Training and supervision will be provided commensurate with experience. Job share will be considered.

- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia.
- A minimum of three (3) years postgraduate experience and demonstrated interest and/or experience in Sexual Health Medicine.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams, including the sharing of appropriate information internally and externally with key persons or services.
- Adept verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to vary communication style in line with the understanding of the needs of diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads and display a flexible approach to meet changing situations.
- Demonstrated interest in, and commitment to, STI/HIV teaching and research.
- Current NSW Driver's Licence (P2 Licence acceptable) or overseas equivalent eligible for a Driver's Licence in Australia.

These positions are attached to one of the NSW Paediatric Physician Training Networks (i.e. Western, Northern, or Eastern), each which is made up of a number of health care facilities. As these are network positions, they involve training in a variety of locations and clinical departments. Duties will be performed at more than one place of work. To comply with Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) training program requirements, trainees may be required to work in accredited facilities (including private hospitals). Facilities may be outside of NSW. The composition of each training network is provided in the attached document. There may be additional accredited facilities not listed.

Trainees complete Basic Training over three years (36 months full time equivalent) guided by the Basic Training handbooks and curricula in Paediatrics & Child Health. Physicians and other health professionals supervise and mentor trainees throughout their training. The Divisional Written Examination and Divisional Clinical Examination is towards the end of training to test a trainee's knowledge and skills and determine if they are eligible to progress to Advanced Training.
Positions are up to fulltime commencing from 01 February 2027. A limited number of job share opportunities may be considered within a network. Please refer to the position description, information document and contact person for further information about the position.
Interviews will be conducted virtually via videoconference.
Selection Criteria:
1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
2. Minimum of two years postgraduate experience, minimum 12 months recent accredited paediatric training and registered with the RACP (or equivalent) as a Basic Trainee, demonstrating progression through training.
3. Ongoing commitment to further education and professional development. This includes demonstrated ability to teach and willingness to participate in the teaching of Medical Students, Junior Medical Staff and other clinical staff. Please provide an example.
4. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the appropriate management of the patient. Please provide an example.
5. Demonstrated experience in taking comprehensive patient histories, performing clinical examinations and accurately documenting in patient records. Please provide an example.
6. Ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment. Please provide an example.
7. Demonstrated clinical competency in procedures in paediatric environments including venepuncture, intravenous cannulation, and neonatal resuscitation. Please provide an example.
8. Proven ability to organise, plan and manage competing tasks. Please provide an example.

Trainees complete Basic Training over three years (36 months full time equivalent) guided by the Basic Training handbooks and curricula in Paediatrics & Child Health. Physicians and other health professionals supervise and mentor trainees throughout their training. The Divisional Written Examination and Divisional Clinical Examination is towards the end of training to test a trainee's knowledge and skills and determine if they are eligible to progress to Advanced Training.

Selection Criteria:
1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
2. Minimum of two years postgraduate experience, minimum 12 months recent accredited paediatric training and registered with the RACP (or equivalent) as a Basic Trainee, demonstrating progression through training.
3. Ongoing commitment to further education and professional development. This includes demonstrated ability to teach and willingness to participate in the teaching of Medical Students, Junior Medical Staff and other clinical staff. Please provide an example.
4. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the appropriate management of the patient. Please provide an example.
5. Demonstrated experience in taking comprehensive patient histories, performing clinical examinations and accurately documenting in patient records. Please provide an example.
6. Ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment. Please provide an example.
7. Demonstrated clinical competency in procedures in paediatric environments including venepuncture, intravenous cannulation, and neonatal resuscitation. Please provide an example.
8. Proven ability to organise, plan and manage competing tasks. Please provide an example.

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking nursing or midwifery leader to join us as Principal Nursing and Midwifery Officer, Complaints and Risk. What you'll be doing
The Clinical Nurse Educator will be guided by the Nurse Unit Manager and Clinical Nurse Consultant in leading, developing, co-ordinated and implementing all structured learning for nurses within NSLHD.
The Clinical Nurse Educator will provide clinical teaching, orientation, skill accreditation and professional development support for all nursing staff and students.
The Clinical Nurse Educator will have a role in the provision of hospital orientation and mandatory training. They will also be expected to teach in courses appropriate to nursing within and at facilities external to NSLHD.
The Clinical Nurse Educator will participate in the development and teaching of the NSLHD Nursing Professional Development Program (this includes travelling to other sites within the LHD for lecturing and facilitation of workshops).

About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for a Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team in Maitland and play a key role in supporting the development of our GradStart RN, EN and Student/Supported Nursing Trainee (SBT) programs. - Coordinate the GradStart RN, EN and SBT programs.
- Coordinate orientation, clinical rotations and study days.
- Support the planning and delivery of education and professional development activities.
- Monitor the achievement of clinical objectives and support staff to meet learning outcomes.
- Undertake competency assessments and provide constructive feedback to support clinical development.
- Provide education and guidance as new graduates and trainees develop their clinical skills and knowledge.
- Act as a key support and wellbeing point of contact for participants throughout their program.
- Identify learning needs and work with staff to develop their confidence and capability.
- Collaborate with clinical teams and educators to ensure participants receive a positive and consistent learning experience.

The role also involves coordinating referrals, supporting follow-up care, and contributing to prescriber clinics to ensure clients receive seamless access to the services they need.

About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity is available for a Continence Registered Nurse to join the Generalist Care Service at Taree Community Health Centre.
The Generalist Care Service provides a diverse range of healthcare services to the local community, with this position based at Taree Community Health Centre and providing outreach services across Forster, Bulahdelah and Gloucester. As a Continence Nurse, you’ll have the opportunity to use your specialist knowledge to support people experiencing bladder, bowel and pelvic floor dysfunction, helping improve their health, independence and quality of life.
You’ll be part of a supportive Community Health environment where teamwork, approachable leadership and a shared commitment to safe, high-quality patient care are valued. You’ll be supported by an experienced Nurse Unit Manager, Continence CNC2 and Clinical Nurse Educator, providing access to specialist guidance, education and professional support. What You Will Be Doing
As the Continence Registered Nurse, you will provide specialist nursing care to patients in a clinic-based setting, supporting assessment and management of continence and related bladder, bowel and pelvic floor concerns.
You will:
- Provide comprehensive continence assessment, management and care.
- Support patients experiencing bladder, bowel and/or pelvic floor muscle dysfunction.
- Develop and implement individualised, person-centred care plans in partnership with patients.
- Provide education, advice and support to patients and their families to promote continence management and independence.
- Apply current evidence, clinical expertise and best-practice approaches to continence care.
- Provide clinical expertise and contribute to safe, high-quality service delivery.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and other health professionals.
- Provide outreach services across Taree, Forster, Bulahdelah and Gloucester as required.
- Advocate for patients and support improved health outcomes and quality of life.
- Contribute to health education and the ongoing development of clinical practice.
You’ll have the opportunity to work with a high level of professional autonomy while having access to experienced specialist and clinical support.
About You
We’re looking for a Registered Nurse with continence experience and/or relevant qualifications who is confident, compassionate and committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
You will bring:
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- A postgraduate qualification related to continence assessment, management and care, or evidence of working towards a relevant qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in continence assessment, management and care.
