Your Nursing Agency (YNA) is looking for an experienced Operations Manager - New South Wales based full time at our Kent Street office in Sydney CBD, to join our senior leadership team and play a key role in the continued growth of our business across NSW.
This role is responsible for leading and growing our agency business across hospital and residential aged care and our community programs which include Support at Home, Department of Veteran Affairs, National Disability Insurance Scheme, Supported Independent Living and iCare

This is a role for someone who likes to be close to the action. You will lead the team, know what is happening with our clients and workforce, make commercial decisions and actively look for opportunities to strengthen and grow the business.

We support hospitals, health services, aged care facilities and other healthcare providers with access to a flexible and qualified healthcare workforce.
As part of Torrens Health, YNA combines the agility and specialist expertise of a healthcare staffing business with the scale and infrastructure of a broader Australian health and care group.
Our NSW team is supported by specialist capability across Clinical, People & Culture, Quality & Compliance, Work Health & Safety, Finance, Marketing, Technology and Data, giving our operational leaders access to expertise and support when they need it.
What you'll be responsible forAs Operations Manager, you will have end-to-end oversight of our NSW operation and work closely with the Executive General Manager to drive performance and growth.
A key part of your role will be connecting client demand, workforce supply and commercial performance. You will understand where the opportunities are, ensure the team is focused on the right priorities and take action when performance can be improved.
You will:
- Lead our Sydney-based team of Allocators and Recruitment Consultants, setting clear expectations and creating a high-performing and accountable culture
- Oversee the day-to-day performance of our NSW business, including allocations, recruitment, workforce availability and client service
- Maintain oversight of our Sydney operation and our emerging Newcastle business
- Drive fill rates by ensuring recruitment and workforce supply are closely aligned to client demand
- Take ownership of operational and commercial performance, using data and market insights to identify where we can improve or grow
- Develop strong relationships with hospitals, aged care facilities and other healthcare clients, becoming a trusted operational partner
- Stay close to our clients and understand their changing workforce needs, challenges and opportunities
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and establish new client relationships
- Lead the continued development of our Newcastle business, building both workforce capability and client demand as the market grows

- Work collaboratively with YNA leaders nationally and the broader Torrens Health team.
You are someone who can move comfortably between leading people, talking to clients, reviewing performance and solving an operational problem.
You enjoy being hands-on, understand the detail of your operation and can also step back and see where the business needs to go next.
You will bring:
- Strong operational leadership experience, ideally within healthcare staffing, recruitment, workforce management, rostering or another high-volume service environment

- The ability to make sound decisions and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience managing operational issues, escalations or incidents
- Strong communication, problem-solving and organisational skills.
Experience within healthcare, aged care or healthcare staffing would be highly regarded. A clinical background, particularly as a Registered Nurse, would also be an advantage.
Why this opportunity? What makes this role particularly interesting is the opportunity to have a genuine impact on the direction and growth of the NSW business.

Its a great opportunity for an operational leader who wants autonomy, commercial responsibility and the opportunity to build, while still having the backing of an established national healthcare business.
