Earnings up to $185,000 with performance incentives. That's not a typo.
GP Vets, we're hiring in Ellenbrook. A strong base, plus real performance pay for the work you put in. Find out what you could earn. Join our Perth team today.
Veterinarian VetWest Ellenbrook Experienced or still finding your feet? We're open to both.
At VetWest Ellenbrook, you'll never be expected to figure everything out alone.
You might start the morning talking through a tricky case with an experienced colleague, ask a nurse for their perspective between consults, or finish the day helping another vet build their confidence.
That's simply how this team works.
Our vets, leaders and nurses genuinely enjoy sharing knowledge, bouncing ideas around and supporting one another. If you're earlier in your career, you'll have strong mentorship and experienced people nearby. If you're an experienced vet, your ideas will be valued and you'll have opportunities to share your knowledge while continuing to grow yourself.
There are no egos and no expectation that anyone should have every answer - just good people working together to provide great care.
Hear from the VetWest Ellenbrook team
"Moving my family from Botswana to Australia felt like a huge step, but the support from VetPartners made the whole process - from immigration to financial assistance - so much easier."
At VetWest Ellenbrook, we're a close-knit team that genuinely enjoys working together. Our amazing nurses and Practice Manager keep everything running smoothly, and there's always someone to bounce ideas off or ask for help. We're also backed by the wider VetWest network, so support is never far away and everyone is willing to lend a hand.
I'm incredibly proud to lead this team - it's a place where we can keep learning, practise great medicine and enjoy coming to work each day.
- Dr Ditiro, Lead Veterinarian
A roster that works for you
We're open to full-time or part-time hours and understand that life outside the clinic matters.
Tell us your ideal roster, and we'll work with you to find an arrangement that supports the team, your career and the life you want outside of work.
What's on offer?
- Earning potential of $185,000, combining a competitive base salary with performance-based incentives through our ProSal model
- $2,000 annual CPD allowance
- One week of study leave each year
- Free courses and workshops through our own Veterinary Training Centre
- Everyday mentorship from experienced vets, leaders and nurses
- Opportunities to develop your clinical interests and explore future pathways across the VetWest and VetPartners network
Could this be your next team?
We're looking for a veterinarian who enjoys working collaboratively, cares about delivering great patient and client care, and wants to keep learning - whatever stage of their career they're at.
You'll need to hold, or be eligible to hold, veterinary registration in Western Australia.
If you're looking for a supportive team, genuine flexibility and room to grow, we'd love to hear from you.

Testimonialfrom our team
I had the privilege of working for Dr Tara before relocating to Rockhampton, Central Queenslandin 2021 due to my husband's work commitments. Since that time, I have maintained a strongrelationship with the Midwest family, returning as a locum on an
as-needs basis.
My first experience of working at Midwest coincided with the very recent purchase of the practiceby Dr Tara and Practice Manager Nat. From the outset they established a work culture that wasbuilt on collaborative trust and appreciation of each team member. Professionally, this was madeevident in the way staff were trained across a wide range of skills with full support given for furthersharpening of people's special interest areas. It was also made evident by careful rosteringfocussed on ensuring that vets and nurses alike had a sustainable work life that allowed space torefresh and spend time with family and friends.
As a vet coming into a new position, I immediately felt part of the team due to the warm welcomefrom the nurses and vets who generously and patiently shared their knowledge of the clinic's day to-day workings with me. At all times, Dr Tara made herself available if I needed support orguidance - an essential for any vet joining a practice, regardless of their level of prior experience. At no time did I feel uncertain of my role due to the pre-work of Nat and Tara in providing me witha clear, transparent contractual agreement that was adhered to.
Midwest's reputation as a provider of consistent, high-quality compassionate care has led to itbeing the clinic of choice for a large client base. The compact premises has been maximised toensure a smooth daily work flow. Clarity of roles and clear communication at the daily morningteam meeting ensures a work day that can absorb the inevitable urgent walk-in appointment.
The use of integrated veterinary software technologies such as EzyVet and SmartFlow allows ahighly visible and streamlined daily work flow and ensures seamless patient management. Igreatly appreciated Midwest's commitment to paperless technology in my capacity as locum dueto the accelerated familiarity it provides with day-to-day practice protocols and workings.
As a vet at Midwest, no day is the same which is highly intentional. In consultation with Dr Tara, vets may move between large animal call-outs and small animal consultations, as befitsexperience and preference. For those like myself who are small animal focussed, there is stillnourishing variety. One may enjoy a full day of client interactions one day - then the next clotheoneself in surgery scrubs to emerge at the end of the day refreshed from a day of satisfyingsurgeries and conversations with colleagues.
As the sole provider of after-hours care for 70,000 people - to work at Midwest is to engage withthe out-of-the-ordinary. The high uptake of after-hours consultations by the Midwest communityprovides on-call vets and nurses the opportunity to meet people at times of great stress withcompassion and the offer of prompt, skilful veterinary care. On-call opportunities are sharedbetween vets and nurses, and next-day responsibilities carefully managed in light of what theprevious shift brought with it.
As a vet with over 25 years experience, my observation is that when the inevitable work-colleagueor client-based interpersonal hiccup occurs, the key to rapid resolution lies with the managementteam. Practices whose boss and practice manager are present and fully engaged with the day-to day workings of the practice are well-positioned to guide team members through such times. DrTara and Nat have intentionally positioned themselves in the heart of the clinic, sharing the sameworkspace as their team every day thereby ensuring prompt accessibility and prompt resolutionof such stressors.
My current boss (for whom I have happily worked for the past 6 years) is fully supportive of myongoing intention of locuming at Midwest on a semi-regular basis. She loves that I returnenergised and with a renewed enthusiasm for providing high quality veterinary care to regionalcommunities. She also enjoys the opportunity of hearing about how "things are done" at a clinicthat shares her fierce commitment to providing high-quality care across all realms of veterinarysurgery and medicine within a regional context.

Your morning might begin with consults and a quick discussion with a colleague about an interesting case. Later, you could be working through a diagnostic challenge, exchanging ideas with one of the clinic's experienced vets or helping a less experienced team member build their confidence.
There is no expectation that you should have every answer simply because you're experienced. Here, asking questions, seeking another opinion and learning from one another are all part of delivering great patient care.
You'll finish the day knowing your contribution was valued - not only by your clients and patients, but by a team that genuinely wants you to succeed.

- Free courses and workshops through our own Veterinary Training Centre
- Visa sponsorship & Relocation Assistancefor eligible candidates
- Opportunities to learn from skilled and passionate vets and lead vets within the clinic and across the wider VetPartners network
- A team that loves mentoring, discussing cases and helping one another grow
Benefits that recognise your contribution
Alongside a supportive clinic environment and opportunities to develop your career, you'll also have access to:
- Our Re-fur a Friend program, with the potential to earn up to $15,000 when you refer someone who joins the VetPartners network
- The support and professional connections available through the broader VetWest and VetPartners network
A team worth joining
The right clinic is about more than a roster or a list of benefits. It's about the people you work beside, the support you receive on challenging days and the confidence of knowing your contribution matters.
At VetWest Ellenbrook, you'll find a team that is skilled, welcoming and genuinely invested in one another.
If you're an experienced veterinarian looking for a workplace where you can contribute, collaborate and continue growing, we'd love to hear from you.
