About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused Customer Service Officer to join our team at Cabrini Health. Working across our switchboard, concierge and reception operations, you'll benefit from the variety our hospital offers every day. Our department operates 6:00AM-11PM 365 days a year and flexibility is preferred to work a range of shifts throughout the week, predominantly weekdays.

What You'll Be Doing

Providing exceptional customer service to staff, patients, visitors which may include:

• Answering and redirecting incoming calls through our switchboard system

• Concierge duties - greeting patients and visitors at the main hospital entrance and escorting patients into the hospital

• Responding to emergency calls in a timely manner and accurately transmitting messages via the relevant system

• Giving directions in accordance with our way-finding procedure

• Booking of taxis and couriers as requested

• Making Patient Transport bookings as required

• Assisting with general enquiries

We are currently seeking an experienced Medical Billing and Collections Officer – Private  Practice to join our Patient Accounts team at Cabrini Health. The position requires a candidate who is self-motivated and who has had exposure to medical billing with Medicare, DVA and Private Health Funds. The successful candidate will also have a strong focus on customer service, with accurate billing skills and take pride and ownership in their work.

Your day will look a little like this:

• Invoice processing, Billing and claiming for a variety of services

How you will make an impact

As a Storeperson in Cabrini’s Supply department you will be responsible for a range of general warehouse duties including managing logistics supplies, processing orders and stock control to ensure availability and smooth operations across the hospital. Key responsibilities include:

• Receiving and delivering of goods to all hospital locations

• Scanning and generating Imprest orders and processing invoices -

• Monitor orders in the purchasing system, following up with suppliers as required

As a Work Health Safety Consultant, you will partner with managers and teams across Cabrini to provide expert, practical advice on identifying and managing physical and psychological risks, investigating incidents and implementing effective controls. You will coach and mentor leaders to build their WHS capability and foster a proactive safety culture, while contributing to the delivery of Cabrini’s WHS Plan and the continuous improvement of our WHS Management System.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide expert WHS advice, guidance and support to managers and teams across Cabrini.

• Coach and mentor leaders to build WHS capability, proactively manage risks and foster a positive safety culture.

• Support incident and hazard investigations, including root cause analysis, corrective actions and effective risk controls.

• Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of Cabrini’s WHS Plan, Management System, policies and practices.

About you

• Relevant qualifications - an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in WHS, OHS or a related discipline.

• Strong experience - at least 5 years’ hands-on WHS consulting experience, ideally within a large, complex organisation; healthcare experience is highly regarded.

• Strong technical expertise - sound knowledge of the Workplace Health and Safety Act 2004, risk management, incident and hazard investigation, and physical and psychological workplace risks.

• Influencing and coaching capability - excellent relationship-building, communication and mentoring skills, with the ability to positively influence stakeholders at all levels.

• A proactive, solutions-focused approach - demonstrated ability to identify risks, implement practical controls, conduct audits and contribute to continuous improvement.

Palliative Care Cabrini

The Consultant in Palliative Medicine/ Palliative Medicine Physician leads and manages the delivery of evidenced based Palliative medicine to patients and families across Cabrini. The Palliative Care service operates in an integrated model across 4 service arms: consult; inpatient, ambulatory and community. The doctor will oversee the clinical service delivery to patients and families as directed by the Director of Palliative Medicine.

Cabrini Supportive and Palliative care is an RACP accredited training site for Palliative medicine inpatient, consult and cancer term. The medical team include three palliative medicine physicians/ specialists, a geriatrician with palliative medicine interest and two advanced trainees. The team works closely with the unit multidisciplinary members and referring physicians/specialists in catering for symptom management, coordination of care, complex discharge planning and end of life care management.  

What we're looking for:

• MBBS or equivalent and postgraduate qualifications in Palliative Medicine or related specialty

• Experience in multidisciplinary care delivery

Cabrini’s three Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories perform over 3000 procedures a year. More than 30 cardiologists, representing diagnostic, interventional and electrophysiology cardiology, have regular sessions within the Laboratory. About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Registered Nurse to join Cabrini’s Cardiac Services team as our Cardiac Cath Lab Clinical Outcomes Coordinator to help shape the future of cardiac care at Cabrini.

This specialised role is central to ensuring the quality, integrity and accuracy of clinical data across our Cardiac Catheter Laboratory and Structural Heart Program. Working closely with clinicians, nursing teams and operational stakeholders, you will coordinate cardiac registry reporting, support clinical governance and quality improvement, and help us understand and improve outcomes for our cardiac patients.

About Cabrini Women’s Mental Health

Cabrini Women’s Mental Health provides specialist, women-centred mental health care within Cabrini Health. Located at the Lisa Thurin Centre in Hopetoun Street, Elsternwick, the service provides a range of programs supporting women experiencing mental health concerns, including inpatient care, day programs, outpatient and consulting services.

Our team is committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care in a supportive and professional environment, with the patient experience at the centre of everything we do.

About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic, mature-minded and reliable Receptionist to join our Front Office Team.

The successful applicant will be the first point of contact for patients, families, clinicians and visitors and will play an important role in ensuring the smooth and professional operation of the reception area.

You will be a positive and approachable team member with a strong customer service focus, excellent organisational and communication skills, and a high level of attention to detail. The ability to remain calm and professional in a busy mental health environment is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional and welcoming reception and administrative support.

• Greet patients, families, clinicians and visitors on arrival.

• Answer and respond to telephone enquiries in a courteous, professional and compassionate manner.

• Complete patient admissions and discharges accurately and efficiently.

• Process patient billing, receipting and banking.

• Accurately enter and maintain patient information and records.

• Run and action daily reports.

• Ensure reception and waiting areas are maintained in a clean, organised and welcoming manner.

• Open and close the reception area as required.

• Work collaboratively with clinicians, administration and other members of the Cabrini Women’s Mental Health team.

• Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with Cabrini policies, procedures and privacy requirements.

• Undertake other administrative and reception duties as directed by the Nursing Unit Manager.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for someone who demonstrates:

• Previous reception or administration experience; medical reception or healthcare experience is highly desirable.

• Flexibility and availability to work Monday to Friday, including evening shifts.

• Excellent customer service skills and professional telephone manner.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent organisational and time management skills.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a busy environment.

• Confidence working autonomously while also contributing positively to a team.

• A calm, professional and compassionate approach when working with patients experiencing mental health concerns.

• Strong computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

• Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.

• Proven reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic.

• Commitment to patient confidentiality and adherence to policies, procedures and professional standards.

• Experience with private health insurance claims and healthcare administration would be advantageous, but is not essential.
