About the role
This is a fixed-term, full-time opportunity to 31st January 2027. The Palliative Care Registrar is based at Neringah Hospital in Wahroonga, and provides palliative care reviews to patients in an inpatient setting, and works within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare to ensure that medical clinical care is provided to inpatients of the Palliative Care service, under the supervision of the Specialist-in-charge.
HammondCare is a NSW Health-affiliated organisation all NSW Health transferrable entitlements will be recognised.
The essence of this role
- Provide in-patient care to people admitted to the Palliative Care unit
- Liaise with other members of the multi-disciplinary team in providing patient care
- Maintain an appropriate standard of personal professionalism at all times and in all activities undertaken
- Implement a personal learning program for the term in conjunction with their Specialist Supervisor
- Participate in after-hours care of palliative care inpatients
About you
- Unrestricted NSW Medical Board Registration or eligibility for Unrestricted NSW Registration
- Primary Medical degree, eligible for Medical Board registration, and a minimum of two years supervised practice as an RMO
- Experience in Palliative Medicine or related specialty with competence in the individual specialty area expected to be consistent with the level of training and professional development stage attained by the individual occupying the position
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Current Driver's License
- Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Advanced palliative medicine trainee (RACP, AChPM) or other Accredited trainees (eg other specialities, general practice) is desirable
- Working towards post-graduate qualifications in Palliative Medicine (including a palliative care diploma) or related specialty, is desirable

Where you'll be working
Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital
Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital is a major metropolitan teaching hospital. Patients can access a range of services including coronary care, intensive care, orthopaedics, general medicine, surgical, obstetric, respiratory, rehabilitation, paediatric, maternity and emergency care. The hospital also provides a wide range of outpatient services including allied health, dental and podiatry clinics, child, adolescent and family health, drug and alcohol, health promotion and rehabilitation and aged care. An acute mental health service is co-located at Hornsby Hospital. The new $265 million Stage 2 redevelopment was officially opened in June 2022.

What you'll be doing
- Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role
- A minimum of 5 years of postgraduate experience, including extensive, recent experience in emergency medicine/critical care medicine, including a minimum of one year undertaking an in-charge role.
- Advanced ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care.

Trainee Stage 1 – Emergency Medicine

This position offers accredited Emergency experience, up to 24 months, for trainees of relevant colleges (ACEM, CICM, RACP, RANZCOG, RACGP). This post would particularly suit ALL ACEM trainees, PT (TS1) and AT (TS2 to TS4), looking for experiences in a busy regional referral & trauma centre. It’s also catered for applicants wishing to develop a base line practical skill set in Emergency Medicine as our ED is ACEM-accredited for EM advanced qualifications (certificates and diplomas).
The contract for this position can be one or two years and our institution will be working to provide Critical Care terms and non-ED terms as individual requires. Available terms within OHS include General Medicine, Anaesthetic, Paediatrics, ICU and psychiatry. Secondments from ED will be discussed and managed by supervisors of training among all specialities. Rotations to tertiary EDs can also be negotiated. Responsibilities and opportunities for autonomous practice will be possible commensurate with level of expertise and experience.
About Orange Hospital
Focusing on innovative models of care, Orange Health Service is the largest rural hospital in NSW and the regional teaching, referral and trauma centre for the Central West. The 520 bed campus has a 150 bed general hospital, with five operating suites and 60 specialised treatment areas.

WSLHD - Provisional Fellow - Neonatology
Where you'll be working
Westmead Hospital is a key facility of one of Australia’s largest major health and medical research precincts and is the principal referral hospital for Western Sydney Local Health District providing district level health services to Parramatta, Holroyd and The Hills Shire LGAs including tertiary and quaternary services to greater Western Sydney, greater metropolitan Sydney, rural NSW and other states. The Westmead Health Precinct currently under development is envisaged to be the largest hospital building project undertaken in Western Sydney and will transform the iconic but ageing Westmead Hospital into an innovative, contemporary, and integrated centre that will continue to deliver high quality healthcare and expand the education, health, and research capability of the area.
Westmead Hospital is a leading centre of research, training and specialisation in all fields of Medicine and Dentistry, providing services in Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Kidney and Pancreas transplantation, Cancer Care, Obstetrics and Gynaecology including Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Neonatal Intensive Care, Trauma, Bone Marrow Transplantation, Critical Care, Aged Care and Rehabilitation, Adult Acute Psychiatry (networked with the co-located Cumberland Hospital) as well as other specialised medical and surgical services.
Westmead Hospital is also the principal referral centre for other metropolitan hospitals within the district including Auburn Hospital, Blacktown and Mount Druitt Hospital.
The Westmead Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is the largest in NSW with 24 intensive care beds and 20 special care beds. The department admits over 1,500 newborns per year of which approximately 450 require airway support and 150 are born at less than 32 weeks gestation. The NICU has a strong relationship with the Maternal-Fetal Medicine team and the University of Sydney. Westmead Hospital delivers newborns who have complex surgical and cardiac conditions who are transferred to the co-located Children’s Hospital at Westmead for subspecialist treatment after initial stabilisation. Westmead Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit also receives ex-utero neonatal transfers from across NSW and within the district. The department is very active in teaching, clinical practice improvement and research. Westmead NICU offers comprehensive supervised training in clinician performed neonatal ultrasound to interested candidates. The department provides training in neurodevelopmental follow-up to high risk NICU graduates in a multidisciplinary clinic, up to the age of 5 years.
What you'll be doing
WSLHD - Provisional Fellow - Neonatology
· Participate in the supervision of Neonatal Trainees as they provide all aspects of care for infants within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Special Care Nursery and Maternity Ward under the supervision of the Staff Specialists.
· Undertake clinical responsibilities on a rotational basis across NICU, SCN, Growth and Development Clinic and other outpatient clinics such as short term follow-up of recently discharged patients and antenatal consultations for women with expected high risk delivery.
· Attend ward rounds ensuring at least daily entries in the electronic medical notes are completed. In the NICU, a Staff Specialist and Fellow will usually undertake twice daily ward rounds with medical and nursing staff and a once daily round in the SCN.
· Provide and supervise clinical care including admission, physical examination, performance of clinical procedures, formulation of investigation and management plan, review of progress, and completion and checking of discharge summaries
· Perform technical procedures including basic and advanced neonatal resuscitation, intravenous cannulation, insertion of peripheral arterial lines, lumbar puncture, suprapubic aspiration of urine, endotracheal intubation, and insertion of chest drains.
· Develop competency in exchange transfusion, insertion of umbilical lines, and insertion of peripherally inserted central catheters.
· Participate in the first on call roster. A Provisional Fellow or Senior Registrar is usually first on call for clinical advice and emergency call back, with a Staff Specialist second on call and available. Rostered shifts are required when first on call for weekends, and rostered evening shifts may be required to meet service needs.
· Attend outpatient consultations in department clinics and complete follow-up report writing under the supervision of a Staff Specialist
· Participate in the implementation of new practices aimed at improving the quality of care provided within the department, including the development of new guidelines according to best evidence
· Participate actively in quality improvement, morbidity and mortality review, and peer review activities within the hospital.
· Participate actively in clinical or laboratory research relevant to the department and neonatal medicine
· Participate and assist in the planning and delivery of appropriate education and training in neonatal medicine, including information sessions for parents.

Applicants for this position are usually seeking experience in a very busy tertiary perinatal unit, with a view to a future career in neonatology. Applicants have the opportunity to develop clinical skills in bedside neonatal ultrasound. Provisional fellows will also gain valuable experience in developmental assessment and follow-up of high risk graduates from the NICU. Research opportunities will be offered to successful applicants.

About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist to work in our multidisciplinary Spasticity Clinic based in the Specialist Ambulatory and Rehabilitation Centre (SpARC) at Modbury. The Northern Adelaide Rehabilitation Service (NARS) Spasticity Clinic offers a genuinely specialised practice environment. If you bring strong neurorehabilitation expertise and want to shape meaningful outcomes for people living with spasticity, this is a role with real clinical depth.
Your Role in Rehabilitation
Working within the multidisciplinary NARS Spasticity Clinic, you will deliver expert occupational therapy assessment and intervention for patients with upper and lower limb spasticity across a range of neurological conditions. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive OT assessments and developing goal-directed treatment plans for patients attending the Spasticity Clinic
- Collaborating closely with medical, nursing, and allied health colleagues to coordinate Botulinum Toxin injection programs and post-injection therapy
- Providing clinical supervision and professional support to Allied Health Assistants within the team
- Contributing to service development, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice initiatives within NARS
What You Bring
- Demonstrated experience in neurological or rehabilitation OT, with exposure to spasticity management highly regarded
- Sound knowledge of upper limb splinting, functional goal-setting, and assistive technology relevant to spasticity presentations
- Proven ability to work autonomously and exercise senior-level clinical judgement
- Experience providing supervision or mentorship within an allied health team
- Familiarity with SA Health clinical frameworks and the public health system is an advantage

About the Role:
The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join The Gully, Northeast Clinical Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program team.
The Gully is a recovery focused rehabilitation program for people aged 18 to 65 years who have a lived experience of mental illness. The program provides clients an opportunity to work towards recovery goals through group work and individual sessions. The program’s occupational focus aims to facilitate change and support engagement in activities of daily living, work, social participation and interests.
The Gully coordinates the NECMHS OT Clinic. This service offers occupational therapy assessments and includes an intervention plan and recommendations based on the consumer’s occupational goals.
These services operate in the Northeast at Modbury.
Your Role in the Program
Working part time on an ongoing basis, you will deliver specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention within a psychosocial rehabilitation framework, while contributing to the broader clinical direction of the team.
- Conduct comprehensive functional and occupational assessments for adults with complex mental health needs
- Design and implement individualised, recovery-focused intervention plans in collaboration with consumers, carers, and the multidisciplinary team
- Provide clinical supervision, mentoring, and professional leadership to junior OT staff and students
- Contribute to leadership, clinical overview, program development, quality improvement, and outcome measurement across The Gully North East service
What You Bring
- Substantial post-graduate experience in mental health, with a demonstrated understanding of psychosocial rehabilitation principles
- Leadership experience and values prioritising psychological safety of staff
- Proven ability to apply a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed approach within a community or outpatient mental health setting
- Experience providing clinical supervision or formal mentoring to less experienced clinicians
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to engage meaningfully with consumers, families, and inter-agency partners
- Familiarity with SA Health policy frameworks and the Mental Health Act 2009 (SA) is highly regarded

What you'll be doing
The Unaccredited Trainee is the key person who works closely with all members of a multi-disciplinary team and deals with matters of an urgent or sensitive nature, whilst exercising discretion, sensitivity and maintaining confidentiality.
Decision making and supervision will be at the appropriate level according to the doctor's skills, knowledge and experience. The medical officer will be expected to adopt a progressively more independent approach to patient management according to their experience, under the guidance of and at the discretion of the appropriate Attending Medical Officer (AMO). All patients managed within the hospitals of the Sydney Local Health District are under the direct care of a specialist medical practitioner. All decisions regarding their care are to be clearly communicated with the specialist responsible for that care.

The Visiting Medical Officer will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.
The successful applicant will be a current registered Medical practitioner, registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and hold Fellowship of the Australasian Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, or Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and/or other relevant specialist recognition.

About the role:

Duties for the role will include:
- Provide specific therapeutic interventions under direction of AHP staff - this will include Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Dietetics and other Allied Health discipline.
- Monitoring patient response to therapies and reporting to the supervising AHP.
- Working within a multi-disciplinary team in a hospital ward environment.
- Supervise or assist in therapy and exercise programs, as directed by the AHP.
- Adhere to relevant WHS requirements including infection control and hand hygiene, reporting of incidents and near misses, safe operation of workplace equipment and manual handling, and maintenance of patient/client confidentiality.
- Assist in the maintenance of stock and ordering of supplies and equipment.
- Contributing to the development of an integrated team approach and culture which is highly responsive to the needs of our consumers.
- Accurately maintain documentation under the explicit direction of the supervising AHP.
About you:
- Must possess or be undertaking a Certificate 3 in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate with geriatric patients with diverse cultural backgrounds and complex co-morbidities including dementia.
- Previous experience working in a healthcare setting particularly with older persons and/or persons with cognitive impairment / Dementia would be advantageous
- Ability to organise time to complete daily tasks, and work within their limits and to recognise when situations are unsafe for patients.
- Ability to work under close supervision and direction from Allied Health Professionals.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment to assist patient therapy and / or handling of patient related equipment and devices.
- Ability to use documented resources such as policies and procedures and work instructions to enable safe work practices

About The Role
The Business Resilience and Security Coordinator provides strategic leadership for disaster resilience, emergency management, business continuity and security across the Limestone Coast Local Health Network. The role also oversees fire safety, security services, telecommunications infrastructure, managed print and voice communications, while providing expert advice to LCLHN Executive. You will work across the network and with key government, emergency service, contractor and community stakeholders to strengthen organisational resilience and ensure systems meet SA Health policy and Australian Standards.
About You
You are an experienced leader with strong expertise in disaster resilience, emergency management and business continuity within complex environments. You bring strategic thinking, sound judgement and the ability to manage competing priorities, influence senior stakeholders and develop practical solutions to complex organisational risks while maintaining effective partnerships across diverse organisations.
To succeed in the Business Resilience and Security Coordinator role, you will:
- Hold relevant tertiary or industry-certified qualifications.
- Demonstrate extensive experience managing complex and critical disaster resilience strategies in dynamic environments with competing priorities.
- Bring strong leadership, strategic problem-solving and change-management capability, including the ability to develop innovative approaches to complex business risks.
- Demonstrate high-level analytical skills, including preparing strategic recommendations, reports and submissions for senior decision-makers.
- Possess authoritative knowledge of government disaster and emergency management practices relevant to health, including working knowledge of applicable emergency planning and risk-management standards.

Overview
SA Health's Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN) is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse or Midwife to lead network operations across a vast and diverse region - connecting patients with the right care, closer to home.
What You'll Be Leading
As Manager Network Operations, you will oversee the safe and timely repatriation of consumers from metropolitan to regional hospitals, ensuring every patient experiences a coordinated, person-centred journey. You will also support the timely transition of aged care consumers from acute beds into appropriate residential care placements.
- Review SA Health capacity dashboards to identify system barriers and provide real-time operational support across the network
- Liaise with metropolitan Network Operations Centres, SAAS Relationship Managers, SHCC, and regional LHN representatives to coordinate transfers across South Australia
- Lead complex discharge planning for regional patients and contribute to sustainable improvements in patient flow
- Provide oversight, escalation, and reporting on issues affecting patient movement across acute and aged care settings
What You'll Bring
- Current registration (or eligibility) as a Nurse or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with a minimum of three years post-registration experience
- Demonstrated experience in management or leadership roles within a healthcare setting, including supervision of less experienced nursing and midwifery staff
- Proven ability to engage respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal consumers and communities to support culturally appropriate care - a priority capability for this role within EFNLHN
- Strong skills in conflict resolution, negotiation, and leading change in complex clinical environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using Sunrise EMR
- Working knowledge of the Australian National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and relevant legislation governing nursing practice
