Patients can access a range of services including coronary care, intensive care, orthopaedics, general medicine, surgical, obstetric, respiratory, rehabilitation, paediatric, maternity and emergency care. The hospital also provides a wide range of outpatient services including allied health, dental and podiatry clinics, child, adolescent and family health, drug and alcohol, health promotion and rehabilitation and aged care. An acute mental health service is co-located at Hornsby Hospital. The new $265 million Stage 2 redevelopment was officially opened in June 2022.

What you'll be doing
Critically ill patients include patients with life-threatening single and multiple organ system failure, those at risk of clinical deterioration as well as those requiring resuscitation and/or management in an intensive care unit. Trainees in unaccredited positions in the Intensive Care Department work under supervision, assisting to manage, diagnose and treat the disturbances associated with severe medical, surgical, obstetric and paediatric illness and the conditions that cause them. This may include management of deteriorating and seriously ill patients outside the intensive care unit as well as the intra-hospital transport of critically ill patients.
- Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role
- Adept ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams, including the sharing of appropriate information internally and externally with key persons or services
- Adept ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise.
- Adept verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to vary communication style in line with the understanding of the needs of diverse audiences
- Adept ability to prioritise workloads and display a flexible approach to meet changing situations in a demanding and unpredictable clinical environment
- Commitment to participating in training and development opportunities to further develop skills and knowledge in the area of intensive care medicine
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
- At least four years' post graduate experience in public hospital service (or equivalent).

What you'll be doing
The trainee will also have the opportunity to rotate through to other acute medical wards including; Respiratory, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Cardiology and General Medicine.
- Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care.

About The Opportunity
COPILOT is a dynamic and exciting service that provides rapid access to multi-disciplinary geriatric assessment (medical, nursing, and allied health) for older people living in the community setting. Referral enables care to be implemented in the patient’s home environment, whether that be in RACH's or their own homes, avoiding unnecessary transfer to hospital and leading to improved patient outcomes.
The COPILOT VMO will provide a high quality clinical service to older people and their families/carers to optimise health outcomes and support clients keeping well in the community. The VMO will provide comprehensive geriatric assessments and evidence-based care to clients residing in their own homes or nursing homes for acute care with the goal of avoiding unnecessary transfer to hospital.
The COPILOT VMO will need strong clinical leadership and decision making skills, have relevant clinical experience in the Aged Care speciality, and preferentially experience in providing community-based care both in a direct and virtual capacity. The position requires compliance with mandatory clinical administration duties, and participation in an on-call roster. The successful candidate should have strong communication skills, be efficient and have excellent time-management skills, and a willingness to join a supportive and dynamic multidisciplinary district-wide service.

What You'll be doing
Provide clinical management and treatment of patients in a SWSLHD facility under your care. This care will be provided within the clinical privileges granted by the CE on the advice of the SWSLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee.

South East Regional Hospital is the regional referral centre for the expansive south coast regions from Bateman's Bay to Cooma and down past the Victorian border to Mallacoota. The state of the art hospital is equipped with 3 operating theatres, ICU, 5 inpatient wards and outpatient services. There is also a dedicated office for the Orthopaedic registrars as well as a shared JMO lounge. Rural unaccredited trainees will also be eligible to apply for scholarships through HETI to help with attending courses and conferences. Fully furnished shared accommodation is usually provided to registrars by the hospital.
What you'll be doing
The Orthopaedic Unaccredited Trainee is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Orthopaedic inpatients, providing an on-call service for SERH plus 3 surrounding hospitals within the health district. There is a good mix of elective and emergency operating with approximately 1200 operations performed annually. The unaccredited trainee will be responsible for the supervision the resident medical officer as well as rotating medical students from the ANU Medical School.
The Orthopaedic Department is staffed by 3 unaccredited trainee registrars and 1 AOA accredited trainee registrar with a regular 1 in 4 on-call rosters with occasional 1 in 3 on-calls during periods of leave. The well-supported unit allows unaccredited trainees to gain a well-rounded experience in Orthopaedics. The job allows registrars to rotate daily through being on-call, managing acute orthopaedic emergencies, elective and emergency operating lists and outpatient clinics. There are a wide range of educational activities on offer including regular journal clubs, weekly X-ray meetings, teaching, quarterly Morbidity and Mortality meetings and the opportunity to take on research projects. This position would suit both an experienced registrar looking to hone their operative skills with a view to apply for the AOA Training Program or a junior registrar looking for a well-balanced introduction into Orthopaedic Surgery.
Selection Criteria
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category
- Demonstrated ability to complete rotations as allocated and required
- Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgement and expertise
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams, including the sharing of appropriate information internally and externally with key persons or services
- Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to vary communication style in line with the understanding of the needs of diverse audiences
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads and display a flexible approach to meet changing situations in a demanding and unpredictable clinical environment
- Demonstrated ongoing commitment to further self-education and professional development
- At least three years' post graduate experience in public hospital service (or equivalent)

About the Role
You’ll be hugely important in making sure our home runs smoothly – an indispensable helper to our residential aged care manager.
Usually, your day will involve:
- Working closely with the Residential Aged Care Manager and home staff to maintain accurate rosters
- Assisting with staff recruitment and onboarding
- Providing prompt and friendly customer service to both internal and external customers
- Proactively managing the enquiries pipeline to successfully convert enquiries to sales
- Lending a hand with billing, payroll and stocktake
- Providing guidance and mentoring to Administration Officer
- Maintaining all record management systems
- Supporting our residential aged care manager in their daily tasks
You’ll be a people person and problem-solver, with high attention to detail. You’ll also have:
- A real desire to make a difference in people’s lives
- A qualification in Business Administration or similar (ideally)
- A proven ability to work to deadlines and work in fast-paced environment
- Solid computer and data skills
- Previous experience in Aged Care (ideally)
- Previous experience in rostering (ideally)
- Be Available Monday to Friday for Full Time (76 hours per fortnight)

As part of the Service Desk Team, we are looking for someone who can provide technical assistance and support to the organization's IT hardware, software, and systems
Traits that will help you succeed
- Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, software, phones, and peripheral equipment.
- Troubleshooting and performing a variety of technical tasks.
- Logging requests and incidents in the ITSM tool.

- Experience with managing work through an IT Service Management tool.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft desktop and server operating systems (e.g. Windows 11, Server 2016) and Office 365.

About the opportunity

To support clients to remain living in their own home through the provision of respite, personal care, domestic assistance and carer support in accordance with care plans and as directed by Care Advisors
- To provide accurate and timely information about client needs/change in client condition to the Care Advisor.
- Listen to clients and give them a voice, enabling them to choose for themselves.
- Be part of a multi-disciplinary team which requires you to provide highly responsive and flexible service to consumers and carers.

- Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.

- The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- A current NDIS WSC
