Bring your skills, make an impact – join our team as an Administration Officer at Maitland Hospital
Join our team as an Administration Officer who will provide customer focused administrative service to clients, staff and visitors to the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network within the Maitland Hospital.
As an Administration Officer, you'll provide high-quality, confidential and customer-focused administrative support while managing reception and switchboard services. You'll maintain accurate electronic patient records, support effective records management, and assist with a range of administrative tasks including preparing documents and spreadsheets, taking meeting minutes, and providing professional secretarial support to senior staff. Your attention to detail, strong organisational skills and ability to deliver efficient, accurate service will help ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the health service.
Essential Criteria
All applicants must have prior experience in office administration processes and procedures. This includes experience in computer software packages including word processing, desktop publishing, Microsoft Excel and email. You must have sound data entry skills.

About the Role:
Join our Palliative Care team as a Clinical Nurse, delivering compassionate, high-quality care across a range of health service settings. You’ll build on your clinical experience and expertise while taking on meaningful portfolio responsibilities, supporting the development of less experienced staff, and contributing to a positive, collaborative team environment.
What We're Looking For:
Essential Criteria
- Registered Nurse/Midwife with 3+ years’ post-registration experience and current or eligible registration.
- Demonstrated clinical competence and knowledge of contemporary nursing practice, standards and legislation.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including supporting and guiding students, enrolled nurses and less experienced staff.
Desired Criteria
- Palliative Care qualifications and knowledge of relevant Australian Palliative Care Standards.
- Experience in quality improvement, nursing research and applying evidence to practice.
- Strong teamwork and technology skills, with knowledge of the SA Public Health System and contemporary nursing issues.

Overview
Cleve Hospital and the surrounding Eyre Peninsula community rely on well-maintained facilities to support the delivery of quality care. This casual position has been established to provide backfill cover for the Maintenance Officer when on leave - making your availability and reliability just as important as your trade skills. What You'll Be Taking Care Of
- Stepping into the Maintenance Officer role during periods of planned and unplanned leave, ensuring continuity of facility operations at Cleve Multi-Purpose Service
- Carrying out general interior and exterior maintenance including carpentry, painting, plumbing and mechanical repairs
- Performing regular grounds maintenance and rubbish collection to keep the facility safe and presentable
- Using a wide range of hand and power tools to complete tasks efficiently and to a high standard, working independently under limited direction
What You'll Bring
- Proven experience in building and grounds maintenance across a range of trades or maintenance disciplines
- Demonstrated ability to use hand and power tools safely and competently
- Sound interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of staff and with people from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to exercise judgment and initiative in day-to-day tasks without close supervision - essential when stepping in as the sole maintenance contact on site
- Commitment to confidentiality and discretion, consistent with the standards expected within an SA Health facility

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Revenue Officer to join our Private Division Revenue & Billing Team.
Reporting to the Revenue Manager, this role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the accurate, compliant and timely billing of private patient accounts and management of health fund receivables across the Private Division.
As a Revenue Officer, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting health fund claims, managing aged debt, reconciling payments, resolving billing enquiries and ensuring compliance with Health Fund contractual requirements and Medicare rules.
You will work closely with Health Funds, Patient Administration Services, Theatre Staff, Clinical teams and broader revenue stakeholders to ensure billing accuracy and support continuous improvement across revenue processes.
This opportunity is available across Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland within SVHA's Private Division.
Your Key Responsibilities
As the Revenue Officer, you will:
- Produce accurate and timely patient accounts in accordance with Health Fund contract business rules and Medicare requirements.
- Ensure all claim forms, certifications and supporting documentation are completed and submitted in compliance with legislative and contractual obligations.
- Accurately enter MBS item numbers and prostheses rebate codes.
- Review theatre activity, coding and supporting documentation prior to billing.
- Follow up missing item numbers, certificates and supporting information required for claim submission.
- Act as a key point of contact for revenue-related enquiries from staff, patients and Health Funds.
- Liaise with Health Funds regarding outstanding claims, payment issues and billing queries.
- Manage aged debt and debtor balances in accordance with departmental KPIs and contractual agreements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure timely receipting of payments and remittances.
- Process account adjustments and debt write-offs within approved delegations.

About the role
St John of God Midland Public Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader Gastroenterology Services to support the daily operations of our Public and Private Gastroenterology Services.
Reporting to the Outpatient Performance Manager, you will provide first-line leadership, guidance and mentoring to administration teams supporting public and private gastroenterology outpatient clinics and endoscopy services, ensuring excellent patient care, efficient service delivery and seamless coordination across both service streams.
In this role, you will coordinate team workloads, rostering and leave planning, support public waitlist management and private patient administration processes, oversee billing-related activities, and contribute to staff development, quality improvement initiatives and operational performance. About the Role
Join our team as a Food Services Assistant on a part time, ongoing to work at Moorabbin Hospital. In this role, you will be guided under the leadership of the Support Services Manager and working with the broader Support Services team.
FSAs play a vital role in providing high-quality meal services to patients and supporting overall patient nutrition and food safety. FSAs are responsible for the preparation and delivery of meals, cleaning of food service areas, all whilst ensuring patient’s dietary needs are met accurately and efficiently. FSAs contribute to patient care by ensuring meals are delivered on time, safely, accurately and with respect.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Delivering and collecting meal trays and Burlodge trolleys to and from service areas
- Regenerating and preparing meals in line with production and clinical needs, including special functions
- Cleaning and sanitising food trays, food preparation areas, and kitchen equipment
- Operating dishwashers and other food service equipment safely and efficiently
- Restocking pantries and trolleys; whilst maintaining food stock levels as required
- Completing all food safety and cleaning documentation accurately and in a timely manner

About You

What you will be doing:
This position is open to qualified Advanced trainees in Geriatrics to practice under the supervision and direction of Specialist Geriatricians to assess and medically manage a comprehensive range of illnesses and disorders related to aged care.
The SLHD Geriatric Medicine Advanced Training Network offers you a comprehensive and well established Geriatric Medicine Advanced Training Program, with experienced supervisors, a wide range of formal education programs, a track record and resources for the completion of substantive projects.
Our reputation is second to none with clinical rotations allocated according to your experience, interest and training needs. The final allocation would also take into account the service needs across the SLHD Geriatric Medicine network training sites.
There is opportunity for you to rotate through subspecialty training modules including orthogeriatrics, cognitive disorder clinics, surgical liaison service, psychogeriatrics, as well as a variety of community based Geriatric service initiatives.
The duration of the position is for one full year (twelve months), though many trainees would reapply in subsequent clinical years to continue their advanced training in the network to take full advantage of the training opportunities.
The SLHD Geriatric Medicine Training Network
All network rotation sites are part of the Sydney Local Health District. Sites for our Network rotations include: Concord Repatriation General Hospital, The Canterbury Hospital, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the Balmain Aged Care Departments. All positions will participate in rotations allocated across the training network. Each rotation is approximately of 3 months duration.
The SLHD Geriatric Medicine Training Network encompasses the Aged Care departments and facilities of the Sydney Local Health District, covering the Sydney and Inner West Local Government Areas of Ashfield, Burwood, Canterbury, Canada Bay, Leichhardt, Marrickville, Strathfield, and part of the City of Sydney.
This training network is accredited for three years of Geriatric Medicine Advanced Training by the RACP Geriatric Specialist Training Committee in recognition of the training opportunities available.
Where you will be working:
You will be based at one of the SLHD hospitals for each rotation. SLHD hospitals include Concord Repatriation General Hospital, The Canterbury Hospital and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. All positions will participate in rotations allocated across the training network. If allocated to a community term you will experience outpatient care, community home visits, Residential Aged Care Outreach.

The program provides broad exposure to the assessment and management of acutely unwell and deteriorating patients across emergency, inpatient, chronic disease and end-of-life care settings, with experience spanning both public and private healthcare environments.
What you'll be doing
You will provide safe, patient-centred medical care under appropriate supervision within a high-acuity clinical environment across both WWBH and Calvary Riverina Hospital.
Through participation in a structured 12-month rotational program, you will:
- Develop core competencies in acute and critical care, including resuscitation, ventilation, vascular access, and recognition and escalation of clinical deterioration
- Build confidence in managing high-acuity presentations, including after-hours care and multidisciplinary decision-making
- Contribute to coordinated patient care through effective collaboration with medical, nursing and allied health teams
- Gain exposure to registrar-level responsibilities during Calvary rotations within a supported SRMO framework
- Develop clinical maturity, adaptability and systems-based understanding across public and private healthcare settings
- Engage in teaching, research and scholarly activity supported by local university partnerships
By completion of the program, you will have developed a strong clinical foundation to support progression into specialty training pathways, including acute medicine, emergency medicine, anaesthesia and rural generalist practice.
Where you'll be working
The Riverina Acute & Critical Care Program is delivered across Wagga Wagga Base Hospital (WWBH) and Calvary Riverina Hospital, providing exposure to both public and private healthcare environments within a large regional referral network.
The Wagga Wagga Health Service has undergone a $431 million redevelopment, completed in 2021, and is one of the largest regional health campuses in New South Wales. The campus includes:
- A 325-bed referral hospital (WWBH) supporting over 40,000 emergency presentations, 1,100 births and approximately 11,000 operations each year
- A 24-hour Emergency Department with access to statewide specialist support via the Critical Care Advisory Service
- A purpose-built Health Services Hub offering integrated services including aged care, rehabilitation, mental health, outpatient and community health services, along with modern education and simulation facilities
- Co-located services including renal dialysis, oral health, allied health and expanded outpatient care
Wagga Wagga Health Service provides comprehensive services across critical care, medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics, rehabilitation, mental health and community health, supported by a broad range of specialist and allied health teams.
As part of the program, trainees will also rotate to Calvary Riverina Hospital, providing experience in a private healthcare setting and exposure to general medicine, respiratory/ICU and palliative care/oncology services. These rotations offer the opportunity to work in a complementary clinical environment, contributing to continuity of care across the region and providing insight into different models of healthcare delivery.

Wagga Wagga is the largest regional city in NSW with an urban population of over 60,000 residents, nestled on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River.

- Demonstrated clinical experience within the Australian healthcare system, including exposure to acute care settings
- Evidence of current & ongoing participation in continuing medical education / professional development e.g. completion of relevant courses such as ALS 2, BASIC, EMST, APLS or similar.
- Demonstrated experience or strong interest in acute and/or critical care, with exposure to the assessment and management of acutely unwell patients
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills (verbal and written), and computer skills.
- A professional attitude and flexibility in work role with a preparedness and ability to participate in after-hours overtime and on-call rosters.

An exciting opportunity exists for a trainee to work with The Hospital in the Home. This vocational training Extended Skills post is approved by local Regional Training Providers for General Practice training and for Geriatrics. Hospital in the Homeprovides care in the community for patients who would otherwise be admitted to an acute hospital bed. The service is designed to give patients the choice of care at home rather than as an inpatient, as well as to reduce the length of hospital stay and avoid unnecessary admissions.
Hospital in the Homeprovides an acute treatment service for patients with conditions such as pneumonia, cellulitis and anticoagulation needs, a supported discharge service, a multidisciplinary out-patient facility and management of chronic and complex medical conditions. A patient-centred, evidence-based clinical approach is fostered within the service. This term is offered as a GP Extended Skills, Geriatrics or General Medicine position for 6 months from February to August or August to February. Duties include Clinical assessment and management of patients referred to the Hospital in the HomeService. This will include Home Visits and visits to Residential Aged Care Facilities. Liaison with local General Practitioners is a major part of daily activities and the patient handover is a vital part of the continuum of care. Expectations of the trainee include conducting a quality assurance improvement project during the term, participation in current research and multidisciplinary teaching sessions.
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Four years post graduate experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to relevant training program.
