About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to work in our brand-new Inpatient Unit, opened in 2026, with modern facilities and a welcoming team environment.
The Inpatient Unit provides care across a diverse range of presentations, including acute medical and surgical care, aged care and palliative care. Working in a small rural team means you will have the opportunity to develop broad clinical skills and provide holistic, person-centred care to patients and their families.
What you'll be doing
As the Registered Nurse in the Inpatient Unit, you will provide safe, effective and compassionate nursing care across a diverse patient population.
You will:
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care.
- Recognise and respond appropriately to changes in a patient's clinical condition.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with relevant policies, procedures and scope of practice.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, carers and members of the healthcare team.
- Work collaboratively with Visiting Medical Officers and utilise telehealth services to support patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic clinical documentation using the EPIC electronic medical record system.
You will generally work alongside one to two Enrolled Nurses and report to the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), with after-hours support provided by the In-Charge.
About you
We are looking for a Registered Nurse who is committed to providing high-quality patient care and who enjoys being part of a close-knit team. You will be someone who demonstrates kindness, empathy and a genuine commitment to patient-centred care.
Experience in rural nursing is valued, but the ability to provide safe, compassionate and clinically sound care is most important.
Essential requirements
Hold current registration as a Registered Nurses through AHPRA prior to commencing employment.

Key responsibilities

Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and members of the multidisciplinary team to support positive patient outcomes.

Ensure community fleet vehicles are appropriately stocked, organised and ready for daily service delivery.
Provide administrative and operational support to contribute to the efficient functioning of the Healthcare at Home service.
Your skills and experience
You will bring a compassionate, patient-focused approach to care and a genuine commitment to supporting people to remain independent in their own homes. With experience in a community, aged care, disability or healthcare setting, you will be confident providing personal care, following care plans, and working collaboratively with Registered Nurses and the multidisciplinary team. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to manage your workload effectively, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
A Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Home and Community Care or a related qualification, along with current First Aid, CPR and a valid WA Driver's Licence, are essential.

About the Role

Neonatal Services at Mercy Hospital for Women comprise a leading tertiary academic centre within the Victorian perinatal and neonatal network and is affiliated with the University of Melbourne. The services include Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Special Care Nursery (SCN), and outpatient paediatric follow‑up programs.
The NICU is a 58‑bed unit (NICU/SCN combined) with more than 1,400 admissions annually, providing high‑level perinatal and neonatal care for infants born as early as 22 weeks’ gestation. The unit is recognised for excellence in clinical care, academic research, and education. It offers accredited training programs in basic and advanced paediatrics/neonatal medicine, neonatal nursing, and medical student teaching, supporting the development of the next generation of neonatal clinicians.
It is an exciting opportunity to join a highly supportive and collaborative team of specialist neonatologist, and clinicians contributing towards care of sick infants across the state.
Purpose of the role
- Deliver high‑quality, safe, and family‑centred clinical care to unwell newborns across the neonatal intensive care unit, special care nursery, and postnatal wards, functioning as a clinical leader within these settings.
- Contribute to the unit’s academic and educational activities, including supervision and mentoring of medical students and junior trainees, fostering a supportive environment that promotes career development and prioritises staff wellbeing.
- Participate in ambulatory and outpatient services, including the long‑term follow‑up of high‑risk infants.

About the role:
As a Personal Carer you’ll provide care to your clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.
- Spending your time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one-on-one with clients within their homes supporting with daily activities
- In home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing
- Providing care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan
- Supporting with community based recreational and social activities
- Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments.

Role requirements:
- Certificate III Aged Care, Individual Support or an equivalent qualification - Essential
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Green Provisional minimum) - Essential
- Roadworthy & insured (Third Party Property minimum) vehicle to use for work- Essential
- Experience with technology incl. smartphones, tablets, laptops etc
- Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies

About the Role - Fixed-term parental Leave replacement ( November 2026 to August 2027 ) with a possibility of extension.
This role's primary purpose is to deliver a seamless and efficient recruitment, onboarding, and cross-boarding experience. Additionally, it ensures precise support for employment compliance and administration, thereby fostering a well-organised and compliant HR environment.
- Provide comprehensive support to the People and Culture, Payroll, and Operations teams, ensuring an integrated and efficient approach to core HR data management.
- Prepare detailed and compliant letters of offer and contracts in alignment with internal policies, procedures, and relevant legislation. Oversee the coordination and timely follow-up of new starter documentation, including the completion of all mandatory background checks.
- Ensure meticulous maintenance of personnel records, guaranteeing adherence to core HR requirements and best practices.
- Address general employment enquiries related to conditions and entitlements with precision and escalate issues as necessary, providing expert guidance and support.
- Cultivate and sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders, particularly Managers and Business Partners to ensure seamless HR operations and support.
- Work in close collaboration with the Manager - People Support and the broader Talent Acquisition Centre of Expertise, actively contributing to projects aimed at enhancing the recruitment process and overall employee lifecycle experience
