About the opportunity
We’re currently seeking Caring and Compassionate Home Care Workers to join our growing team in the Newcastle – Lake Macquarie region.
In this rewarding and flexible role, you’ll help our clients maintain their independence and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes. You’ll be a trusted presence and a source of warmth and reassurance, providing meaningful support that enhances their daily lives.
Your day may include:
Providing personal care with empathy and dignity.
Domestic assistance and household tasks.
Meal preparation and nutritional support.
Assisted shopping and community access.
Respite care to support family caregivers.
What you’ll bring

To thrive in this role, you will have:

Availability for weekend work.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
Have your own car with insurance and a valid driver's license.
First Aid Certificate (Level 2).
Certificate III or IV in Home and Community Care/Aged Care/Disability.
NDIS workers screening check.

About the opportunity
At Mercy Health, each moment, no matter how small, truly matters - and as a Food Services Assistant, you’ll create cherished moments each day.
- Meal Preparation: Assists in preparing and serving meals according to dietary requirements and resident preferences.
- Food Safety: Follows food safety protocols to ensure hygiene and prevent contamination.
- Resident Interaction: Engages with residents during mealtime, providing companionship and support.
- Cleaning Duties: Cleans and maintains kitchen and dining areas, ensuring a tidy environment.
- Assisting with Dietary Needs: Works with dietitians to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
- Training and Compliance: Participates in training on food safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Collaboration: Works closely with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Feedback Collection: Gathers feedback from residents about meal quality and preferences for improvement
What you’ll bring:

To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Food Handling Certification: Completion of food safety training or certification, often required by local health regulations is desirable.
- Experience: Previous experience in food service or a kitchen environment, especially in aged care, is desirable.
- Knowledge of Dietary Needs: Understanding of nutritional requirements and dietary restrictions common in aged care.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal communication skills to interact effectively with residents and staff.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- Police check
- NDIS clearance

About the role
As a Youth Worker with the Horizon House Young Parents Program, you will support young and expecting parents aged 16 to 22 who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
This is a permanent part-time opportunity offered on a 4-month fixed-term contract, working 27 hours per fortnight across three sleepover shifts. Shifts are typically rostered on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights each fortnight, providing flexibility during the week.
Using a strengths-based, trauma-informed and relationship-focused approach, you will help young people build confidence, develop life and parenting skills, and work towards independence and positive future outcomes. By providing a safe, supportive and stable environment, you will empower young people to achieve their goals and enhance their wellbeing.

About the opportunity:

The main purpose of this role is to ensure the safety and upkeep of the Aged Care Facility by undertaking a variety of maintenance tasks in a timely and highly competent manner.
- Responsible for on-going repairs and preventative maintenance of building, plant, equipment and furniture.
- Maintain gardens, lawns, and landscaped areas to a high standard, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming outdoor environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
- Perform routine gardening duties including mowing, pruning, planting, weeding, mulching, fertilising, and irrigation maintenance.
- Liasing with contractors
- Identifying and reporting areas for improvement
- Assist with identifying and actioning health and safety issues to provide a safe environment for residents, staff and visitors.

- Working knowledge of Work Health and Safety standards and regulatory maintenance frameworks relating to residential aged care.
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- A current Police Record Check
- Trade based qualification or more than 3 years’ experience in a commercial maintenance position.
- Current driver’s licence.

Your opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Tailored Support Coordinator, you'll assess resident needs and work collaboratively with each person to develop practical, achievable support plans.
You'll connect residents with Anglicare services, community providers and specialist supports, while coordinating services and monitoring progress to help achieve stronger social, health, recovery and wellbeing outcomes.
With integrity and resilience, you will:
Complete resident needs assessments and develop tailored support plans with clear, achievable outcomes.
Connect residents with health, legal, financial, advocacy, community and Anglicare services.
Coordinate case discussions and build productive relationships with residents, families and service providers.
Monitor support plans, resident progress, service quality and agreed budgets, responding when needs or circumstances change.
Maintain accurate and confidential case records and contribute to wellbeing, participation and tenant satisfaction reporting.
What you'll bring
You're a compassionate and organised practitioner who knows how to listen, assess individual needs and coordinate the right supports to help people achieve meaningful outcomes.
You'll bring strong case coordination and relationship-building skills, together with an understanding of how housing, culture, crisis and complex needs can shape a person's experience.
You also share our organisational values of integrity, justice, compassion and excellence, embedding them in everything you do.
What's required:
Qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Allied Health, Aged Care, Community Housing or a related field, and/or relevant experience.
At least 12 months post-qualifying experience delivering community-based social services, including assessment and care coordination.
Experience coordinating services for people with complex needs and maintaining accurate case documentation.
Strong communication, advocacy and stakeholder relationship skills.
Current driver licence and ability to meet the role's required probity and compliance checks.
What's preferred:
Experience supporting residents within social or affordable housing, aged care or community services.
Understanding of evidence-based, culturally safe and trauma-informed practice.
Knowledge of community services, referral pathways and multidisciplinary support networks.

Your Role as a Registered Nurse
As a Registered Nurse, you will lead the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care that supports the health, wellbeing, dignity and independence of our residents. Working permanent night shifts, you will provide holistic nursing care using a biopsychosocial approach, oversee clinical outcomes, support care staff, and ensure residents receive safe, compassionate and evidence-based care aligned with Wesley Mission Queensland's Model of Care and values.

What We're Looking For
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Demonstrated clinical nursing experience and sound understanding of contemporary nursing practice
Ability to undertake comprehensive assessments, care planning and clinical reviews using a biopsychosocial model of care
Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide, coach and support Personal Carers, Assistants in Nursing and Enrolled Nurses
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families and multidisciplinary teams
Strong clinical decision-making, problem-solving and organisational skills
Ability to prioritise workload and respond effectively to changing resident needs
Commitment to person-centred care, continuous improvement and quality outcomes
Knowledge of, or ability to quickly develop knowledge of, aged care standards, legislation and accreditation requirements
Alignment with Wesley Mission Queensland's vision, mission and values

Knowledge of dementia care, palliative care, wound management, infection prevention and pain management
Experience leading teams within an aged care environment
Current Driver's Licence
