St John of God Social Outreach
St John of God Horizon House provides safe, stable accommodation and tailored support for young people aged 16 to 22 years who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Western Australia and Victoria.
At Horizon House, we provide strengths-based, trauma-informed care that recognises each young person’s unique experiences, abilities and goals. Our role is not to replace parents or guardians, but to support young people to develop the skills, confidence and connections they need to move forward independently.
Your Role
We are currently seeking motivated Youth Worker to join our Horizon House service in Broome, on a permanent part-time basis.
This will be an overnight shift position working 38 hours per fortnight.
- Week 1: Thursday & Friday night
- Week 2: Monday & Wednesday night
Our Youth Residential Caregivers work in a residential care setting alongside the Support Coordinator, to provide intensive support and advocacy to our residents. Responsibilities also include coordinating, developing and implementing the Independent Living Skills Program to meet the individualised needs of the residents throughout their stay at Horizon House.
The Position
Provide safe and stable long-term accommodation to a young people who are at risk of being homelessness.
Able to provide outreach, therapeutic and practical support to meet the continuum of care arrangements for young people with complex needs.
Assist young people to realise their aspirations and potential integration into mainstream society.
Provide support to young people in areas including independent living skills, involvement in education, training and employment services.
Enhance a young person’s wellbeing and personal development through engagement with the broader resources and supports available in the community.
Monitor and respond to the supportive and developmental needs of young people in a manner suited to their culture, gender and developmental needs.
Engage in an emphatic way with young people to effectively maintain strong relationships to allow effective outcomes of case management.
You will have a sound understanding of the special needs of adolescents and trauma-informed care, together with recent experience working with at-risk young people, extensive experience in an area related to youth work and knowledge of the Privacy Legislation and Occupational, Health & Safety Act Regulations.
Successful applicants will hold a Certificate IV in Youth Work or similar and/or minimum 2 years of experience in an area related to youth work and/or case management, State’s Drivers Licence, First Aid Certificate and Working with Children Card.

About the role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Health Information Services Officer to join our Health Information Services team.
In this important role, you will help ensure patient health records are accurately maintained, securely managed, and readily available to support clinical care and hospital operations.
Working within a collaborative environment, you will be responsible for managing health records, scanning and indexing clinical documentation, processing information requests, and providing administrative support to the department. The role provides administrative support to the Clinical Coding team, including conducting daily ward rounds to collect records for coding priorities, maintaining coding databases, and managing coding-related inboxes to support the timely processing of health information.
The role is offered on a permanent full-time basis working 38 hours per week.
Shifts will be rostered between 6:00am and 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, in line with the department's operating hours.
Key responsibilities
Maintaining accurate, complete and confidential patient health records.
Retrieving, tracking, filing and archiving health records in accordance with departmental procedures.
Preparing, scanning and quality-checking documents within the Scanned Health Record System (SHRS).
Processing requests for patient information in line with privacy legislation and hospital policies.
Conducting daily ward rounds to collect patient records for coding, aged care and high-revenue purposes.
Maintaining and updating the Coding Manager Query database.
Monitoring and managing HealthLink and Coding inboxes.
Supporting audits, quality activities and general administrative functions within the department.
Your skills and experience
To succeed in this role, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high level of attention to detail, and the ability to effectively organise and prioritise your workload to meet deadlines in a busy environment.
You will be a proactive team member who can work both independently and collaboratively to achieve outcomes. Previous experience in a healthcare setting and familiarity with patient administration systems will be highly regarded, as will an understanding of continuous quality improvement and the flexibility to work a range of rostered and additional shifts when required.

Multiple opportunities for experienced Scrub Scout or Anaesthetic/PACU nurses in a Level 6 Tertiary hospital. Our unit caters for women who require specialist surgical care, in a variety of areas such as Obstetrics, Urogynaecology, Gynaecological Oncology, Endosurgery and General Gynaecology. We have also have an Emergency 24 hour theatre offering a challenging environment.

Mercy Palliative Care is a 24 hour community-based palliative care service providing in home care to patients of all ages with life limiting illnesses. Our services covers the North and West Metropolitan region of Melbourne which incorporates seven municipalities including: Brimbank, Maribyrnong, Melbourne, Melton, Moonee Valley, Hobson Bay and Wyndham.

About the opportunity

The Endorsed Enrolled Nurse practices as per the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) policy and guidelines regarding nursing scope of practice.
They are a member of the multidisciplinary team who work closely with residents and their families or representatives. They are expected to lead a team of staff, be role models, complete day to day tasks and report any issues and adverse advents to the Clinical Care Manager. They will assist staff in undertaking assessments, treatment, documentation and activities. They will have a number of year's experience in aged care settings and have the ability to work independently.
The Endorsed Enrolled Nurse will have an important role in providing leadership and supervision to staff and be expected to lead in the provision of quality care to residents by ensuring the delivery of skilled, individualised care to the highest possible professional standard.

About the opportunity
Werribee Mercy Hospital is seeking a motivated and experienced Midwife Educator to join the Learning Team. The Learning Team is committed to providing quality education by promoting excellence in professional practice through empowering Midwives in the public health sector.
The Clinical Midwifery Educator will collaborate closely with the Assistant Director of Nursing and Midwifery Education and the Clinical Support Team to develop and implement innovative clinical education and training programs. This role is pivotal in empowering midwives to practice to the fullest extent of their scope of practice.
Based at Werribee Mercy, you will join a vibrant and forward-thinking Midwifery Education Team that is transforming how education is designed and delivered. This is a truly exciting opportunity to contribute to the integration of midwifery-led models of care, shaping the future of maternity services within our hospital.
- Registered Senior Midwife or Nurse/Midwife working across the full scope of midwifery practice with AHPRA registration
- Recent Clinical Midwifery Educator experience across the full scope of midwifery practice
- Relevant post registration qualifications and experience
- Knowledge of contemporary midwifery issues
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
- You demonstrate innovative approaches to problem solving
- Ability to work a rotating roster AM and PM shifts

Your Role as Registered Nurse
You’ll deliver person-centred holistic care to children with life limiting conditions and their familiesby:
Provide holistic client centred nursing care to hospice guests
Assess guests needs, develop care plans, and coordinate daily care within interdisciplinary teams
Supporting residents in dealing with issues related to the end stage of life
Assess and manage symptoms to ensure comfort
Educate guests and families on disease process, care options, and support services
Maintain accurate guest records and documentation in compliance with accreditation standards
Provide a high level of nursing care, including administration of medication
Work within the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
What We’re Looking For
Current AHPRA Nursing Registration
Applied knowledge of person centred and family focused nursing
Palliative Care and/or pain management experience or qualification
Effective written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills, and an understanding of the process of death and bereavement
Essential Requirements
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination status (or as required by legislation and WMQ policy)
Relevant probity checks required by legislation and WMQ Limited policy.
Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel for work

Your Role as Clinical Nurse

Role model behaviours to all staff adhering to Hummingbird House and WMQ policies, the Australian Council for Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHC) Standards and legislative requirements.
Attend meetings as required by the Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Nurse Consultant and report back as necessary.
Participate in the development and implementation of evidence-based services/interventions to meet the needs of the patients, families, and significant others.

Recent qualifications in training, mentorship.
