$2300 - $3200 / day
- Procedural hospital seeing approximately 25-32 patients per day through ED. Maternity on site with Obstetric and Anaesthetic cover.
- There are 27 beds and 2 birthing rooms. Of the 27 beds, three are maternity beds and two high observation beds. Emergency department has five beds and one Resus Bay.

SHIFTS:
0800hours Tuesday 26th November 2024 ongoing – we would offer a 3 x month contract to start.
From 19th December 2024 until 6th January 2025 the GP clinic will close for the holiday season so the Doctor would be covering the ED and inpatients plus on call only in this time.
The GP clinic then reopens from the 6th.
Remuneration is at the NSW Health capped locum rate of $2000/day (24hours period) per rostered shift CMO/GPs with more than 5 years’ experience and/or Fellowship.
We need an experienced Medical Officer/s (PGY5 +) who is able to work as a Sole Practitioner to cover the MPS including GP Clinic, ED and Inpatient Medical Ward. The Doctor will be working as a Sole Practitioner with direct telephone links to Lismore Base Hospital Consultants. The locum will be supported in the hospital by very experienced Senior Nurses in the ward and ED.
The community health service includes an Aboriginal Health Worker, Allied Health, Community Nursing and Wound Care Clinic. The Emergency Department provides care 24/7.

The Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network are seeking compassionate and motivated Direct Care Workers. We are offering a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents of the Carnarvon and Anchusa Nursing Homes by delivering compassionate, person-centred care within a supportive Residential Care team. Appointment to this position will be at either AHP1 or AHP2 classification, commensurate with the applicant’s level of professional experience, demonstrated competence, and capacity to perform with increasing independence, clinical judgement, and complexity of practice as outlined in the role requirements.

Join our Casual Pool within the Community Aged Care Team as an Occupational Therapist and choose your hours!
As a Casual Occupational Therapist you will provide client-centred, goal-oriented care to older people within the Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network as part of a multidisciplinary Community Reablement team. The role focuses on supporting older adults across clinic, home, and residential settings to maintain and improve independence, reduce functional decline, and achieve meaningful goals through evidence-based, outcome-focused interventions aligned with Commonwealth aged care programs.
You will have the opportunity to work across hospital avoidance, dementia care, and healthy ageing service streams, the Occupational Therapist delivers targeted reablement interventions that address a range of complex conditions including frailty, cognitive impairment, falls risk, and chronic health issues. Operating with increasing clinical autonomy, the role also contributes to supervision, team development, and collaborative care planning to strengthen workforce capability and ensure high-quality, integrated service delivery.

As an Assistant in Nursing, you will work closely with Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses, providing vital support in delivering high-quality care to patients. Your role will involve assisting with personal care duties, supporting nursing procedures, cleaning equipment, and ensuring the smooth management of stock levels. You’ll help create a safe and caring environment, offering compassionate support to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with patient personal care and routine nursing tasks.
- Support nursing procedures and maintain equipment.
- Help manage local stock levels and ensure cleanliness.
- Alert Registered Nurses to patient or visitor concerns.
- Work under the supervision of Registered and Enrolled Nurses to ensure optimal care.
What We’re Looking For:
- Enrolled in an undergraduate nursing or midwifery program or be employed on the basis that you will be undertaking a course approved by the Registration Authority for the preparation of Enrolled Nurses or hold Certificate III or IV in Basic Health Care, Aged Care, Health Services Assistance, Home and Community Care, or related fields.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Experience in nursing care within a healthcare setting

Exciting Career Opportunity: Facility & Grounds Officer

The Ceduna Multi-Purpose Service is looking for a reliable Facility and Grounds Officer to join its casual pool - keeping the site safe, functional, and well-presented so clinical teams can focus on delivering care to the region's residents.
What You'll Be Doing
- Maintaining the grounds, gardens, and outdoor areas of the Ceduna MPS to a safe and presentable standard
- Carrying out routine facility maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and general handyperson work across the site
- Supporting waste management, cleaning of external areas, and upkeep of equipment sheds and storage
- Responding to day-to-day facility requests from site management and escalating maintenance issues as required
What You'll Bring
- Practical experience in grounds maintenance, facilities upkeep, or a related trade or labouring role
- Ability to operate grounds equipment including mowers, trimmers, and basic hand tools safely
- A current driver's licence valid in South Australia
- An understanding of, or willingness to work within, WHS requirements in a health or community services setting

What You'll Be Doing
As part of a small, close-knit clinical team at Ceduna MPS, you'll provide generalist nursing and/or midwifery care across acute, aged care, and emergency presentations. Working within a multi-purpose service model means genuine breadth in your day-to-day practice.
- Deliver safe, person-centred nursing and/or midwifery care across MPS service streams
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients with varied and complex needs
- Collaborate with medical officers, allied health, and Aboriginal health practitioners to support holistic outcomes
- Contribute to a culturally safe environment for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and families
What You Bring
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with AHPRA
- Experience in a generalist, rural, or remote clinical setting
- Confidence working with clinical autonomy and a broad patient cohort
- Sound understanding of culturally responsive care principles
- Current immunisation status meeting SA Health requirements
- Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of this engagement

Make a Meaningful Difference: Direct Care Worker (Stepdown Unit)
At the Ceduna Multi-Purpose Service, care is more than a job - it's a commitment to the people of the Eyre and Far North region. As a Residential Care Attendant in our Stepdown Unit, you'll play a meaningful role supporting residents during a critical transition as they move from acute care back toward independent living or long-term placement.
Your Role in the Stepdown Unit
Joining the Ceduna Casual Pool, you'll provide hands-on personal care and daily living support to residents in a small, close-knit environment. This is a casual position with an engagement period through to 30 June 2027. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering person-centred care to residents in the Stepdown Unit, assisting with activities of daily living including hygiene, mobility, and nutrition
- Supporting residents' physical and emotional wellbeing in line with individual care plans
- Collaborating with nursing and allied health staff to ensure safe, consistent handover and continuity of care
- Maintaining accurate documentation in accordance with SA Health policies and the Eyre and Far North LHN standards
What You'll Bring
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, or a related discipline (or equivalent demonstrated experience)
- Experience providing personal care in a residential, hospital, or community setting
- Understanding of or willingness to work within a stepdown or transitional care model
- Strong communication skills, with sensitivity to the needs of people from diverse backgrounds including Aboriginal communities
- Current First Aid certificate, or willingness to obtain prior to commencement
- Availability and reliability to take up casual shifts as rostered across a 24/7 service

Ceduna District Health Services is calling on enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our Services Assistant/Cleaner Casual Pool. Whether it's helping prepare meals, ensuring clean, welcoming spaces, or assisting with laundry, your contribution will play a vital role in the wellbeing of patients and staff.
This diverse role involves a mix of catering, cleaning, and utility duties, including preparing and plating meals, general housekeeping, handling laundry, and supporting infection control and safety practices. You'll be a key part of a supportive team, reporting to the General Services Team Leader, with your work contributing to the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities Include:

General and deep cleaning, including window and carpet care

Laundry tasks and minor garment repairs

Supporting hygiene, safety and infection control protocols

About Ceduna District Health Service
The Ceduna District Health Services is run by the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network and includes Ceduna Hospital. Ceduna Hospital has 15 inpatient beds and provides services including emergency, surgical, general medicine, birthing, renal dialysis, diagnostic radiology and outpatients.
There are also residential aged care services provided within the hospital, at the Kuhlmann Wing and Ceduna Senior Citizens Village. There is also a GP family practice, Community Health services, Allied Health services, and Child, Adolescent and Adult Mental Health services offered on the hospital site.
