Working closely with care and clinical teams, you will help ensure activities align with individual needs while fostering dignity, inclusion, and a strong sense of community. We are looking for a Part Time Leisure and Lifestyle Officer with dementia experience to carry out our lifestyle and recreation program. This is part time position working Thursday - Friday 9:00am to 4:30pm and Saturday, Sunday 9:00am - 2:00pm.
What You'll Be Doing- Plan and deliver meaningful lifestyle activities that support residents' physical, social, and cognitive wellbeing.
- Build genuine relationships with residents, focusing on dignity, choice, and individual interests.
- Encourage participation using a "do with, not for" approach, including for residents living with dementia.
- Work collaboratively with care, clinical, and lifestyle teams to align activities with care plans.
- Involve families and the local community in events and programs that create connection and purpose.
- Maintain accurate documentation, uphold compliance standards, and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Certificate IV in Diversional Therapy, Leisure and Health, or a related field.
- Experience in residential aged care or similar environments is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster meaningful relationships with residents and families.
- Flexibility to accommodate activities outside of regular hours.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to our philosophy of care, a strong understanding of the needs of older adults, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

The OpportunityAlzheimer's Queensland (AQ) is seeking an experienced and commercially focused community aged care leader to drive the growth and operational performance of our Support at Home services across Queensland and New South Wales.
Reporting directly to the State Manager - Queensland & New South Wales, you will lead a team of Client Relations Managers and take overall responsibility for client growth, service utilisation, budget management, financial performance and service quality.
This role combines business development with hands on operational leadership. You will identify and convert growth opportunities while ensuring clients commence services promptly, available funding is effectively utilised and budgets and service arrangements are completed without unnecessary delay.
You will work closely with the CHSP Operations Manager to streamline processes and deliver coordinated outcomes across AQ's community services, while partnering with the Allied Health Manager to strengthen cross referrals and identify opportunities for service growth. Specialist support is also provided by Finance, Clinical Governance and People & Culture
This is a hands on leadership role. You will remain connected to day to day service delivery and be willing to manage a client portfolio when required to maintain continuity of service.
What You Will Do- Drive growth in client numbers, service utilisation and revenue.
- Lead, coach and develop Client Relations Managers across two states.
- Monitor referrals, client commencements, budgets, utilisation and operational performance.
- Ensure client funding is converted into timely, appropriate and sustainable services.
- Strengthen referral pathways and relationships with clients, families and community partners.
- Work with the CHSP Operations Manager to improve coordination and identify shared growth opportunities.
- Simplify systems and processes to improve efficiency, consistency and responsiveness.
- Oversee service quality, complaints, incidents, compliance and operational risks.
- Build a positive and accountable culture focused on client outcomes and financial sustainability.
- Step in to manage client portfolios when required.
You are a commercially capable community aged care leader who understands that strong client outcomes and sustainable financial performance must work together.
You can identify growth opportunities, develop capable teams and improve operational performance while remaining willing to assist with the practical demands of service delivery.
You will bring:- Significant leadership experience in Support at Home, Home Care Packages or community aged care.
- Demonstrated success in client growth, business development or referral conversion.
- Strong knowledge of individualised funding, client budgets and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to improve service utilisation and financial performance.Experience leading managers or geographically dispersed teams.
- Recent experience overseeing client portfolios, care planning and service coordination.
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to use financial and operational information to drive action.
- A collaborative and approachable leadership style, with the confidence to establish accountability and address performance concerns.
- A current driver licence, unrestricted Australian working rights and the ability to travel interstate.

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing safe, person-centred, and evidence-based clinical care to our residents. You will work in genuine partnership with residents, their families, carers, allied health professionals, and the broader care team to support shared decision-making and holistic care planning.
This role requires flexibility to work casual weekday, weekend, and night shifts, while contributing to a warm, supportive care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to residents, encompassing assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring all procedures are conducted safely and effectively while meticulously monitoring residents' responses.
- Perform regular, thorough assessments to identify changes in residents' conditions and take timely, appropriate action.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that are tailored to residents' preferences and goals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors, allied health professionals, and care staff, to ensure holistic and cohesive care delivery.
- Maintain precise, accurate and timely documentation of all care activities in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
- Ensure that all incidents are managed, documented and reported as per professional and organisational standards (open disclosure)
- Ensure that all clinical follow up requirements are actioned such as pathology requests and results, ambulance bookings, etc
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols within the facility at all times
- Drive innovation in care delivery by identifying opportunities for improvement and leading initiatives that enhance residents' quality of life.
Skills Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) with active registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated clinical experience, preferably within aged care settings.
- Knowledge of aged care standards, legislation, and regulations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proven ability to deliver compassionate, person-centred care that upholds the dignity and rights of residents.
- Dedicated to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
