The RoleAs a Senior Vet at AES Hobart, you'll provide clinical leadership, guide decision-making on shift, and mentor vets and nurses. This role is ideal for a highly skilled ECC vet looking for greater impact, autonomy, and a wide clinical scope.
- Team-based care model with a highly skilled nursing & support team
- Wide clinical scope including routine, intensive and critical care
- Radiology including ultrasound and digital radiographs
You're capable, resilient and collaborative and enjoy leading from the front and helping others to grow.
You'll bring:
- BVSc (or equivalent) with Australian registration
- Strong emergency and critical care skills
- Confidence in clinical decision-making
- A passion for mentoring and team development
- MANZCVS (ECC or similar) desirable, not essential
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- $87-$89/hour + super + 17.5% leave loading
- Maximum of 3 rostered overnights per month
- 5 weeks annual leave + paid CPD hours
- Heidi AI for voice-to-text clinical notes

AES Carrarahas an exciting opportunity for an Emergency & Critical Care Veterinarian to join our team. This is a part-time role (60 hours/fortnight), ideal for someone who wants to practice high-quality emergency medicine without compromising work-life balance. We've been serving the Gold Coast community for over 20 years, and we're passionate about doing emergency medicine well. We work closely with Veterinary Specialist Services and local GPs to deliver the best possible outcomes, no matter the time or day. Our team culture is strong, supportive, and focused on continuous improvement.
We are looking for a Vet with:- ECC Experience or extensive GP experience
- A veterinary degree recognised within Australia
- Capability to conduct moderately complex clinical consultations and surgical procedures
- Resilience and a strong collaborative drive
- Ability to operate as a team player, generate enthusiasm in the team and build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills with strong interpersonal skills: ability to be client-focused, with a positive attitude; able to negotiate effectively and communicate openly and honestly on all levels
- Salary of $139,500 to $149,500 FTE (based on experience) + super + leave loading potential revenue distribution
