About the Role:
Position Overview
Canberra Health Services (CHS) is focussed on the delivery of high quality, effective, person-centred care. We provide acute, sub-acute, primary and community based health services, to the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) and surrounding regions. More information can be found on the CHS website .
We are committed to workforce diversity and creating an inclusive workplace.
Canberra Health Services offers an exciting opportunity within our state of the art, fully integrated tertiary cardiology service providing comprehensive cardiac care to an estimated population of 620,000 across the ACT and surrounding Southern NSW Local Health Districts. The role is based in a contemporary, high acuity service that delivers excellence in teaching, research, service innovation and patient centred care.
Cardiology services at Canberra Hospital are centred in Building 5, incorporating the Acute Cardiac Care Unit (ACCU), Cardiac Catheter Laboratory (CCL) and specialist outpatient services. The ACCU provides advanced care for patients with acute coronary syndromes, valvular heart disease, heart failure and complex cardiac arrhythmias, supporting patients across the full spectrum of age, acuity, frailty and disability.
The Interventional Cardiology Service operates two dedicated cardiac catheterisation laboratories, performing approximately 900 coronary interventions and 1,800 angiograms annually. It provides a 24/7 primary PCI service for acute ST elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) across the region and supports a structural heart disease program. The service also includes simple and complex cardiac device implantation and follow-up care.
The department has offered comprehensive clinical cardiac electrophysiology services, including complex ablation procedures, since April 2019. A dedicated electrophysiology catheter lab was opened in 2024 to support this growing service.
The Echocardiography Unit performs over 4,000 studies annually, including transoesophageal and stress echocardiography, with emergency services available. A Cardiac CT program, launched in 2017 in collaboration with the Department of Radiology, further enhances diagnostic capabilities.
These capabilities position the ACT as a tertiary referral hub for advanced cardiac diagnostics and interventions.
North Canberra Hospital (NCH) complements this service with a 6 bed Coronary Care Unit and a broad range of outpatient cardiology services, including ambulatory blood pressure and Holter monitoring, ECG testing, chest pain clinics, general cardiology clinics, exercise stress echocardiography and exercise tolerance testing. With the progressive commissioning of the new Northside hospital, there is a significant opportunity to further strengthen and expand the role of NCH. Service design and future planning anticipate leveraging Northside infrastructure and capability to support the evolution of NCH as a leading hub for diagnostic and ambulatory cardiology services, aligned with broader territory wide clinical strategies and population needs.
Across both hospital sites, Cardiac Rehabilitation and Heart Failure Rehabilitation services provide continuity of care and support long term outcomes for patients living with chronic cardiac disease.
The position holder is expected to operate within the Public Sector Management Act (1994), the ACT Public Service Code of Conduct and the professional requirements specified by the appointee's Specialist College.
The preferred candidate maybe considered for a conjoint position in ANU at an academic level commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. We're on a mission to make good health last a lifetime. More than 1 billion people live with obesity worldwide, driving preventable chronic conditions. We're here to build better long-term care.
Eucalyptus is now part of Hims & Hers, the global leader in personalised health and wellness.
Euc is the company behind Juniper, one of the world's largest weight-management programs combining GLP-1 medication with personalised nutrition, movement support, and clinician-led care from prescribers, nurses, health coaches, pharmacists, and dietitians. Our published clinical research shows that our combined clinical and behavioural approach helps patients lose significantly more weight during their treatment with Juniper by four times.
Our Growth Story:- Supporting patients living with obesity across our 5 markets
- Received selective NICE endorsement to provide services to the NHS
- Tailored our offering to thousands of patients in Australia, the UK, Germany, Japan and Canada.
We're looking for a Growth Manager who thinks about patient acquisition the way a GM thinks about a business. You'll own Hers' growth marketing strategy - from channel investment and budget allocation through to the customer insights and creative ideas that drive it.
This isn't a campaign execution role. You'll be setting the strategic direction: understanding who our patients are and why they come to Hers, turning that insight into high-performing creative and messaging, and making smart commercial trade-offs to grow efficiently. You'll work cross-functionally with creative, clinical, analytics, and product teams across Sydney and the UK.
- Own Hers' patient acquisition strategy end-to-end - from channel mix and budget allocation through to the messaging hypotheses that drive it
- Use customer research, patient insight, and performance data to build strategies that attract the right patients at the right cost
- Balance CAC and LTV trade-offs - understanding the difference between patients who stay engaged in their treatment and those who don't, and using that to inform acquisition decisions
- Build and maintain a rigorous test-and-learn framework across channels, creative formats, and audience segments
- Partner closely with our creative team to develop concepts grounded in real patient insight - you understand why creative works, not just whether it does
- Identify the highest-leverage opportunities across paid channels (Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok) and funnel experience
- Work cross-functionally with analytics, product, and clinical to make sure growth is connected to the full patient experience
- Communicate a clear, evidence-based point of view on performance and strategy to senior stakeholders
- 5+ years in growth or performance marketing, with genuine ownership of commercial acquisition outcomes
- You've built a growth strategy from scratch - you know what to prioritise and why, not just how to execute what you're given
- Comfortable moving between qualitative customer insight and quantitative performance data to form a clear strategic view
- Strong understanding of creative as a commercial lever - you can brief it, evaluate it, and iterate in partnership with a creative team
- Commercial instinct: you understand CAC/LTV dynamics and can make budget investment decisions with confidence
- Hands-on experience across paid channels - but you lead with strategy and insight, not platform mechanics
- Strong communicator and natural cross-functional partner - you influence product, analytics, creative, and clinical without needing direct authority
- Thrives setting their own agenda in a fast-moving environment
Euc is also behind a growing family of digital healthcare clinics (Pilot, Kin, Software, Compound) across men's health and well-being, fertility, skincare, and preventative health.
Here's what makes joining Euc unique:
- What's next - Our goal for the next three years is to support 1 million patients globally to live better for longer. We're launching into new conditions, demographics, and geographies as we build a truly preventive healthcare ecosystem.
- Build something world-changing - We're on the path to becoming the world's largest international digital healthcare company. It will be challenging, fast-paced, and deeply rewarding.
- Make real impact - You will deliver work that directly shapes patient outcomes and scales evidence-based care across markets.
- Accelerate your growth - You will have high ownership, continuous feedback, and dedicated development support.
- Join a motivated team - You will collaborate with talented peers to solve complex clinical and operational problems at scale.
- Grow with us globally - Get mentorship from leaders across Australia, the UK, Germany, and Japan, collaborate with teams in the Philippines and South Africa, and explore new markets or travel internationally. Recognised on Hatch's Hotlist as one of Australia's top employers, we support early-career professionals to become future global leaders.
- Shape your career - Access learning budgets, conferences, certifications, peer shadowing, and a global knowledge-sharing culture.
- Work where well-being matters - Experience catered wellness talks, exercise classes, free barista coffees, funded social clubs, and quarterly rooftop parties.
- Innovate with purpose - Use state-of-the-art tools and contribute to bold, impactful solutions in healthcare.
- Support at every stage - Benefit from parental and miscarriage leave, health, professional development, and personal days, and our Employee Assistance Program.
At Eucalyptus, we value individuals from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, and we embrace the unique qualities each person brings. When you apply, please let us know of any reasonable adjustments you may need during the interview process. We use AI-assisted tools across our business to help our teams work more efficiently, including within our recruitment process. These tools support our team - all hiring decisions are made by real people, and every application is reviewed by a member of our recruitment team.
