Take your neonatal or paediatric nursing career to the next level with the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at John Hunter Children’s Hospital — one of the largest and busiest NICUs in NSW.
Our 44-bed unit provides specialised medical and surgical care to newborns across the Hunter New England and Mid North Coast regions.
A new chapter is beginning. As we transition into a brand-new, state-of-the-art NICU, you’ll join a passionate team, work with the latest healthcare technology and help shape the future of contemporary neonatal care.
About the role
As a NICU Registered Nurse, you will provide safe, compassionate and family-centred care to newborns and their families. You will work collaboratively with families, carers and the multidisciplinary team to achieve positive outcomes and deliver care tailored to each baby's individual needs.
We are looking for nurses who are enthusiastic, reliable, proactive and committed to professional growth, with a genuine passion for neonatal nursing.

You will be based at Concord Repatriation General Hospital, which has provided outstanding healthcare for more than 70 years. What You'll Be Doing
An exciting opportunity for suitably experienced registered nurses to join the Palliative Care team at Concord Centre for Palliative Care (CCPC). This purpose-built facility provides clinical and supportive care to patients at end of life or requiring respite.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of patient centred; evidence informed nursing care that promotes identified health outcomes. The Registered Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

About the Role
You will be based at Concord Repatriation General Hospital, which has provided outstanding healthcare for more than 70 years. Building on its proud heritage of caring for the veteran community, the hospital now delivers a broad range of specialist and general health services to the communities of Concord, Strathfield, Burwood and surrounding areas.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of patient centred; evidence informed nursing care that promotes identified health outcomes. The Registered Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

The transition experience will vary between facilities according to local services and workforce arrangements.
At larger hospitals, including Armidale, Belmont, Maitland and Tamworth, support may include formal Transition to Practice arrangements such as structured rotations, dedicated education and targeted professional development.
At smaller rural and regional facilities, you’ll benefit from personalised support, hands-on learning and the opportunity to work closely with experienced, close-knit teams.

The Outpatient Rehabilitation Service
Outpatient Rehabilitation (OPR) is a multidisciplinary allied health outpatient service for patients residing in the THS-North returning home to the community following an inpatient hospital admission. The service is based at the Launceston General Hospital. The Outpatient Rehabilitation team includes Allied Health Assistants, Dietetics, Clinical Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work and Speech Pathology. OPR aims to provide goal-directed, time limited rehabilitation for patients with physical, psychological, emotional or cognitive difficulties and deficits arising from their recent medical event. The caseload includes patients with stroke, traumatic brain injury, amputation, deconditioning and other conditions requiring rehabilitation after a hospital admission.
The Role
The Allied Health Team Leader- Outpatient Rehabilitation provides clinical leadership and oversees best practice multidisciplinary rehabilitation. This is an opportunity to step into a key clinical leadership role and shape the future of the Outpatient Rehabilitation service at Launceston General Hospital. The role combines hands-on expert clinical practice with leadership, service development, education, and innovation across the service. This position plays a pivotal role in enhancing patient outcomes, supporting staff development, and driving excellence in care delivery.
Details of appointment
Fixed term, part time, day worker position, working 30.4 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 January 2028.

The Team
The Pharmacy Education and Development team work as part of the broader pharmacy leadership team to establish and promote the positive culture of being a learning organisation to ensure that pharmacy services deliver relevant education, professional development and training frameworks for pharmacy staff, including pharmacy interns, early career pharmacists and new to hospital pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
The Role
- Lead the planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of pharmacy education programs
- Build capacity for the pharmacy service to provide high quality training programs

- Work with existing structures in the department to provide clinical leadership, support and supervision to pharmacy interns, pharmacy technicians, early career pharmacists and pharmacists transitioning to hospital practice
- Work in partnership with other Statewide Pharmacy Educators and Leads, Discipline leads/Managers and universities to build productive networks and facilitate interdisciplinary education, training, professional development and research opportunities.

- Extensive experience delivering contemporary pharmacy services in a range of activities including dispensing, patient counselling, clinical pharmacy, manufacturing, and drug information, preferably in a hospital setting, including demonstrated understanding of evidence-based practice, clinical governance, clinical risk management, clinical standards, relevant legislation, research and ethics.
- Extensive clinical leadership experience with pre-entry students, early career and new to hospital pharmacy staff and the demonstrated ability to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate learning activities, resources and professional development opportunities.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of relevant professional competency standards/professional capabilities; professional accreditation standards; contemporary education practices; and competency assessments, and their application to training pharmacy staff.

The Team
RHH is Tasmania’s largest hospital; Mental Health Hospital in the Home (MH HITH) is a virtual hospital based in the community as part of the RHH. MH HITH is a multidisciplinary service inclusive of medical, nursing, allied health, and peer support workers.
MH HITH provides in home care of a person experiencing mental health challenges who would otherwise be in hospital. This is achieved by the clinical staff working for MH HITH visiting consumers within their own home providing ongoing assessment and mental health support inclusive of medication regimes, allied health specific therapy and medical officer intervention.
The Role:
- Provide face to face and telephone reception service for Mental Health Service clients.
- Ensure sensitive and confidential handling of all enquiries and that information is provided to the correct clinician in a timely manner.
- Undertake general administrative and clerical duties as required by senior staff and other clinicians within the Team.

You will need
- Ability to exercise initiative, judgement and confidentiality to work effectively both individually and as a member of a multidisciplinary team within an environment subject work pressure and change.
- Knowledge and experience of office administration practices including competent keyboard skills and the ability to undertake administrative duties using office automation systems within a Microsoft Office environment.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to perform reception duties in a courteous and discreet manner and liaise confidently with a wide range of internal and external clients, clinical personnel and other staff.
Details of Appointment:
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

The Team
Lead the way whilst the Mother Baby Unit is transitioning into its new home. The team consists of Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Midwives, Mental Health Clinicians and working alongside the Perinatal Infant Mental Health Service, whilst supporting families navigate the first year of parenthood. The MBU is a great place to work and allows staff the opportunity give the time, care and attention to these families 24/7.
The Role
This role provides leadership to the Mother & Baby Unit (MBU) based at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH).
It also ensures the efficient and effective provision of care, based on clinical standards and best practice principles within a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework by coordinating the clinical, management, education, and nursing research functions within MBU.

You will need
- Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skills and experience in child and family health nursing.

At Nepean Hospital there is a dedicated team responsible for management of all patients with acute surgical conditions within the hospital itself as well as the neighbouring hospitals with the NBMLHD, known as the Acute Surgical Unit. ASU is an independent unit that manages all acute surgical admissions including trauma and is led by an on-site ASU Consultant during daylight hours and on-call overnight, responsible for management of all patients with acute surgical conditions.
Nepean Hospital is one of the two Alma Mater Hospitals of the RACS Western Sydney Network with SET Trainees rotations to other hospitals within NSW. As an Unaccredited Trainee within the Network the JMO may be required to work at the different facilities and locations with the NSW public health system as a reliever for RACS SET trainees within the RACS Western Sydney Surgical Training Network. These Hospitals include: Nepean, Blacktown, Mount Druitt, Westmead, Norwest, Orange, Dubbo, Bathurst, and Hawkesbury.
We are planning to make a 6-month regional rotation in general surgery to Moruya Hospital as part of the terms offered for the Trainee Unaccredited position. Moruya is a hospital with 4 general surgeons, providing care on the picturesque south coast of NSW, and is a fantastic opportunity to broaden our Trainee’s exposure to rural surgery. Accommodation and travel allowance will be provided.
See the Inaugural Nepean Surgical Skills Education Evening which covered laparoscopic and open surgical techniques and highlighted the importance of simulation-based education in surgical training.
What you'll be doing
- Taking a leadership role in coordinating the admission, management and discharge planning of patients seen in the Unit, and ensuring that the admission and plans are documented in the medical record.
- Coordinating and documenting the admission, management and discharge planning of patients seen in or admitted to his/her Unit within the public health organisation.
- Day-to-day assessment and management of the patients in the Unit under supervision of the consultant in charge/fellow.
- Communicating and coordinating care with their team, arranging consultation with other staff when appropriate, arranging discharge and liaising with local medical officers and other community based care modalities.
- Participating in the afterhours and relief roster.
Where you'll be working
- Unaccredited Trainees in General Surgery will work in the Acute Surgical Unit, and/or attached to an elective General Surgery Unit at Nepean Hospital, Elective Surgical Unit at Blue Mountains Hospital or Elective or Emergency Surgical Care at Hawkesbury Hospital.
- All terms will be three months and each trainee will rotate. A minimum of 26 weeks of general surgery will be allocated. There will be an opportunity to rotate to an ICU term. There will also be an opportunity to spend a term working with the Thoracic Surgery Unit at Nepean Hospital.
- Nepean Hospital has its own night surgical trainees. These trainees are on-ground, working 1900-0700 shifts 7 days on - 7 days off. Unaccredited Trainees working within the ASU will be rostered at some time for both in-hours shifts and after-hours shifts rotating as the night surgical trainee.

Essential requirements
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
- At least three years' postgraduate experience in public hospital service (or equivalent).
- Recent relevant clinical experience required to undertake the key accountabilities for this role.
- This position is subject to an appropriate supervision level which can be supported by the health agency. If the incumbent’s registration conditions include supervision requirements, the level of supervision must be able to be supported by the health agency for this role.
- Valid Working with Children Check, cleared National Police Check.
- To be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy, this includes any amendments made from time to time.

About the role
The Manning Base Hospital Unaccredited Trainee Medical Officer programme offers interested and committed UATs interested in future rural practice the opportunity to develop knowledge, skills and gain experience in Critical Care, Anaesthesia and Acute Medicine. This program seeks to develop practitioners experienced with critical care skills, even though they may wish to subsequently train in different specialties, including Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care Medicine and Anaesthetics.
Upon completion of the Critical Care UAT role doctors will be well prepared to apply for trainee positions or further training in Medicine, Intensive Care, Emergency Medicine or Anaesthetics and will also have acquired many transferable skills that will be useful in other training programs. This role is also highly relevant to those wanting to be an acute generalist (e.g. ACCRM RACGP-Rural).
A structured programme with rotations in Anaesthesia (minimum of 2 terms) and other relevant Critical Care specialties (e.g. ED / Acute Medicine / General Medicine / Intensive Care) within a 12 month period.
Medical Officers must be a PGY4 at the commencement of this role to be eligible.
Participation in relief / nights are expected on an equitable basis.
The applicant must have a commitment to rural practice and rural communities.

What you'll be doing
The Intensive Care Trainee will work under the supervision of Specialist Intensive Care Physicians, assisting to manage, diagnose and treat patients with severe medical, surgical, obstetric and paediatric illness. This may include the management of deteriorating and seriously ill patients outside the intensive care unit as well as the intra-hospital transport of critically ill patients.
This position may suit a trainee with relatively little experience (PGY3) to more experienced trainees (pre-fellowship). The experienced trainees may already have post graduate qualifications in critical care, Anaesthesia or Emergency Medicine. More experienced Trainees might be competent with invasive lines, intubation, ventilator support and managing critically ill patients with multi-organ failure.
The Trainee will participate in a rotating roster of days, evenings, nights and weekends and may rotate to Anaesthetics and / or Shoalhaven District Memorial Hospital (which meets the CICM training requirement for rural Intensive Care). This position is accredited for ICU training by the CICM.

The NCIRS Director is the senior leadership position responsible for providing all scientific, strategic, financial and operational performance direction and oversight for the Centre. The Director provides national leadership in assessing and advising on the risks from and control of vaccine-preventable diseases to a diverse array of key stakeholders and funders. Together with the NCIRS executive leadership team, the Director is responsible for ensuring the delivery of NCIRS work under its strategic objectives to ensure nationally and internationally significant research, surveillance, policy support and advisory functions on the use of vaccines in Australia and globally.
The Director fosters ongoing strategic relationships with government agencies, funding bodies, universities, international multi-lateral organisations and other key partners. The role ensures optimal organisational performance, strengthens strategic partnerships and support the long-term sustainability and national and international impact of NCIRS, leveraging upon and furthering the skills of the Centre’s multi-disciplinary team of over 120 individuals. A conjoint academic appointment/s at affiliated Universities of SCHN is supported and potential for clinical appointment (subject to qualifications) exists. On-call duties occur, in the form of NCIRS national and international engagements, as does leadership of and participation in review and improvement activities, as well as training and education of staff.

The position will work collaboratively with the Nursing Unit Manager (NUM), Service Director Primary Care and Clinical Director Primary Care to enhance the existing services in line with organisational needs and best practice.
