About the Role
Express interest as a Clinical Support Nurse in a fixed term - part time basis 0.84 FTE until April 2027, to work at Dandenong Hospital
The role of the Clinical Coach/Clinical Support Nurse (CC/CSN) entails offering clinical guidance and support to nurses throughout Monash Health. This position is both supplementary and clinical and involves providing education and training at the bedside and providing patient care to meet the Safe Patient Care Act (SPCA). The role is based on a rotating roster, but primarily works Monday to Friday morning shifts. The (CC/CSN) ensures that nurses at Monash Health deliver safe, effective, and person-centered care by:
- Advocating for evidence-based nursing practices across various settings.
- Assisting in ongoing professional development.
- Providing clinical supervision.
- Supporting formal educational initiatives.
- Encouraging nursing and midwifery research.
- Collaborating with patients/clients and multidisciplinary teams to achieve health goals and outcomes.
- Practicing autonomously and cooperatively, while being accountable for individual actions.

- Relevant experience demonstrating appropriate competencies and skills in a relevant setting.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)
- Outstanding communication and time management skills coupled with delivering evidence based holistic patient centred care
- AHPRA registration.

Overview:
- The Epidemiologist is accountable to the Senior Epidemiologist and the Manager of the Data Analytics and Health Translation team for the statistical analysis of population health survey data, public health data, and the use of information skills to contribute to the general health-related reference needs of staff within Preventive Health SA and other customers and collaborators as may be arranged.

About the role
As a Technical Officer, you’ll play a valued role in delivering a high-quality, multidisciplinary pathology service within a regional laboratory. About the Role

Overview:

About the role

Overview:
The South Australian State Health Coordination Centre (SHCC) will provide 24/7 real time visibility end to end of on patient flow across the system, using existing data and shared insights to identify issues and patterns and respond before they have an impact on the system or patient care.
The Centre will use real-time information systems, monitoring patients awaiting ambulances, people waiting for the ED, people waiting in the ED to be admitted, people waiting to be discharged, inter-hospital transfers and regional patients in metro hospitals, and a newly build real time communications platform to coordinate responses and actions.
The SHCC’s role is an important enabler for the Ramping Taskforce Action Plan project #3 and the longer-term objective as a precursor to the State Health Control Centre (SHCC), supporting improvements to ramping, flow and access to care to deliver an improved patient journey.
The aim of this Nursing Director role is to provide strategic and operational leadership, coaching, governance, and direction (in and after hours across 7 days) for the SHCC. The role will report to the RN 5.3, Advanced Nursing Director- SHCC. The role balances and integrates strategic and operational perspectives within a specified span of appointment.
The role will:
- Ensure the health system is working efficiently, using available capacity across the system to manage patients, resulting in improved patient flow and outcomes, and ambulance utilisation.
- Have a holistic view of a patient’s end to end journey, being able to monitor and support a balanced system response to issues before they have an impact on patient care.
- Lead complex system and process improvement across LHNs through coaching, mentoring and training, recognition and support.

About the Menindee Health Service
Menindee is beautiful little community on the banks of the Darling River and is surrounded by the spectacular Menindee Lakes. The Menindee Health Service is a busy Primary Health Clinic with an Emergency Department as well. We provide chronic disease, community and primary health care services to the community, as well as facilitating a range of visiting services. Our clinic is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. An exciting opportunity exists to join our growing Cardiac Inpatient Unit as a Nurse Practitioner. This newly established role offers the chance to shape and lead a contemporary model of care for children and young people with complex cardiac conditions within one of Australia's most comprehensive paediatric cardiac services. Working alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you will provide advanced clinical care, influence service development, drive quality improvement, and contribute to excellence in patient and family-centred care.
Our service delivers the full spectrum of paediatric cardiac care, including congenital and acquired heart disease, cardiac surgery, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, heart failure, ventricular assist device (VAD) therapy, and heart transplantation. This is a unique opportunity to help define a new role, support some of the state's most complex cardiac patients, and make a lasting impact on the future of paediatric cardiac care. What you'll be doing
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) works autonomously and collaboratively in an advanced and extended clinical role to deliver a child and family centred approach to healthcare within the nominated specialty service. The NP provides innovative and flexible health care delivery that complements other health care providers. The NP’s scope of practice (SCOP) is determined by the context of practice, is underpinned by policy and service requirements. The SCOP will be reviewed regularly in conjunction with the service director and/or manager or Nurse Manager as relevant to the service.
The NP role includes, but is not limited to comprehensive health assessment, initiation and interpretation of diagnostic investigations, diagnosis, prescription of pharmacological and non-pharmacological agents/therapies and discussion with/referral to medical specialists and other health professionals.
The NP will clinically manage patients requiring hospital admission or discharge, in the clinic or community setting or as relevant to the service.
The NP will emphasize health promotion and disease prevention.
The NP will draw on their professional competency and capability to improve clinical service outcomes through research and quality improvement activities.
The NP will provide education and support to other clinicians that facilitate the ongoing development of clinical practice.
The NP will maintain a standard level of education reflective of their competence.
The NP will challenge and broaden their education to meet service outcomes and higher competencies.
A Transitional Nurse Practitioner (TNP) may be considered where no suitably qualified Nurse Practitioner has applied. The Transitional Nurse Practitioner will adhere to the primary purposes and standards of practice of a NP within the limitations and ScOP set out for the Transitional Nurse Practitioner

About you
We are looking for an experienced Registered Nurse who understands that culturally safe care is built through relationships, listening, respect and accountability to Aboriginal patients, families and communities.

- Confidence to advocate for patients while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.

Essential requirements

- Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA who has at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in this specialty field.
- Approved postgraduate nursing qualifications relevant to Aboriginal Health, advanced clinical practice, public health, or a related field, or a demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Eligibility to drive in NSW and the ability and willingness to drive for work purposes.

What you'll be doing
The Clinical Midwifery Specialist Lactation Midwife provides high‑quality, individualised, woman‑centred lactation and breastfeeding care within a supportive multidisciplinary team, exercising extended clinical autonomy and sound clinical decision‑making. Delivers direct clinical care as required to maintain safe and effective service delivery and respond to clinical priorities across the maternity service. Work collaboratively as an advocate for women and families and as a role model, resource, and mentor to, midwifery staff.
Contribute to the ongoing development of lactation services by implementing, maintaining, and evaluating policies, standards, and clinical practice guidelines relating to lactation and infant feeding including Baby friendly health Initiative (BFHI) accreditation.
Selection Criteria
- Current midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a minimum of three (3) years full time equivalent post midwifery qualification experience.
- Current International Board‑Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification, or actively working towards IBCLC certification, with a demonstrated willingness and commitment to maintaining IBCLC certification, including meeting ongoing professional development and recertification requirements.
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and recent clinical experience in midwifery care, including the assessment and management of complex breastfeeding and lactation issues for women and babies within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated application of evidence‑based practice and critical thinking to advocate for and implement individualised, woman‑centred care, with a strong commitment to continuous quality improvement, service development, and risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe, high‑quality midwifery care in accordance with relevant legislation, organisational policies, procedures, and clinical practice guidelines, with accountability for professional practice.
- Highly developed written, verbal and digital communication skills, including effective use of information technology, with the ability to build rapport and communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally with women, families, and members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, delegate, and negotiate with others to deliver high‑quality midwifery care, show leadership in clinical practice, and positively contribute to change management initiatives that improve care delivery and outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high quality breastfeeding support while managing workload effectively, upholding professional values, and maintaining clinical competence and accountability in lactation and breastfeeding practice.

The Role
The Close Observation Unit (COU) level 3 provides an intermediate level of care between a general ward and a High Dependency Unit. The Registered Nurse/Midwife coordinates and delivers the nursing care to women in line with The Royal Hospital for Women (RHW) Vision and SESLHD clinical business rules, procedures and the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards. The Registered Nurse/Midwife provides care for women requiring higher levels of monitoring than standard ward-based care. The COU is a five bed unit situated on Level 4 of RHW. The COU cares for both high risk and acutely unwell Obstetric and Gynaecological/Gynae Oncology women. The COU team work 12-hour shifts in a 6 week roster pattern, in line with the Public Health System Nurses’ and Midwives (State) Award. The Registered Nurse/Midwife working in the COU is required to have at least 2 years of relevant recent nursing experience and skills suitable for the role including but not limited to rhythm interpretation, invasive blood pressure monitoring and non-invasive ventilation. The Registered Nurse/Midwife must have clear communication skills, time management skills and is able to work closely with the multidisciplinary team. The Registered Nurse/Midwife on the COU must work in line with the NSW Health CORE values.

Selection Criteria
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery and to guide others in providing service excellence.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
- Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of risk management, safety and quality principles and the role of the Registered Nurse in applying these principles.
- Demonstrated recent extensive post registration experience in an acute care setting.
