About the role
The Support Worker - Catering will ensure a supportive environment where residents are encouraged to express their food preferences and choice, whilst ensuring that food is nutritious and prepared in alignment with appropriate standards. Catering support workers will do all that they can to support cultural, religious and dietary preferences in preparation and food service to ensure that resident satisfaction is maintained.
Calvary St Pauls Retirement Community provides a 40 bed accommodation, over looking the beautiful Manning River.
We have an exciting casual opportunity available - A range of AM and PM shifts, tell us what you're looking for!
Key Responsibilities
- Support service delivery under the direction of the Chef/Cook
- Prepare daily meals and beverages that meet individual needs of each resident including special dietary requirements, allergies and culturally specific as instructed by the Chef or Cook
- Ensure environmental service standards are met and maintained, and the residents living environment is safe and maintained to a high standard of cleanliness
- Ensuring that all duties are worked in accordance with the National Food Safety Program at all times including completing food safety records and the prevention of cross contamination
About you
- Effective interpersonal communication; both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workloads
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement
- Working knowledge of WH&S and Infection Control
- Ability to operate standard domestic and industrial equipment
- Demonstrated experience in food preparation and food safety desirable
- Food Handling Certificate Desirable

About the role

The Medical Oncology Registered Nurse delivers safe, evidence-based, patient-centred care to people with cancer across the continuum of care. This includes supporting patients from diagnosis through chemotherapy, immunotherapy and radiotherapy, symptom management, survivorship, and end-of-life care.
About you
- Registered Nurse authorised to practise in Australia by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Proven minimum two years’ post-registration experience (Acute) in medical oncology or a related clinical specialty
- Current Antineoplastic Drug Administration Course (ADAC) certification and demonstrated competence in administering chemotherapy and other systemic anti-cancer therapies
- Demonstrated competence in venepuncture, peripheral intravenous cannulation, and central venous access device (CVAD) management
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support patients and families in a sensitive and emotionally demanding environment
- Ability to work effectively and calmly in a fast-paced clinical setting, managing competing priorities while maintaining safe, patient-centred care
- Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to recognise, escalate, and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition

About the Role
The Acute Care Transitional Rotation Program is aimed at nurses who have completed a minimum one year post graduate nursing experience and who have a genuine interest in Acute Care nursing, specifically General Medicine, Coronary Care and Palliative Care. The program has been designed to assist registered nurses with their professional development during the transition phase from generalist nurse to specialist Acute Care Nurse.
The program will be conducted over a 12-month period with rotation into four (4) acute care services and will comprise both theoretical and clinical components. The rotation framework aims to provide an interactive learning experience that enables the participants to take a holistic view of patient centred care, gain specialised clinical skills, and develop an understanding of caring for the acutely unwell patient as well as developing a network of professional resources.
About you
- Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Completed minimum one year post graduate nursing experience
- Demonstrated desire to further education in Acute Care Nursing
- Demonstrated commitment to own personal and professional development
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills

Ward 4B is a 30-bed unit providing care to adult patients across a broad range of surgical specialties.
