Telehealth - Love medicine, but not the roster? Permanent full-time or part-time roles. Weekdays only, fully remote.
InstantScripts Pty Ltd View all jobs
Posted 21 day(s) ago
Reference: Ad13/10/2026
Company Description
At InstantScripts, we believe healthcare should be accessible, flexible and driven by excellence. As Australia's leading online medical services provider, we give doctors the tools to reach patients when and where they need care most.
We're "Pioneering for Better", and that includes how doctors get to work: your expertise valued, your time respected, and a community of clinicians who care about doing medicine well.
Job Description
If you're a hospital doctor tired of night shifts, weekend rotations, on-call and rosters that change without notice, this role gives you a different way to practise.
InstantScripts is hiring experienced doctors for permanent full-time or part-time roles, Monday to Friday, daytime hours only, from 20 hours per week up to 38 hours per week. Your hours are agreed in advance, so you can plan your life weeks ahead, not shift by shift.
Working remotely from anywhere in Australia, you'll run general consultations and care across a range of special interest areas by phone and video, helping patients get safe, timely, high-quality care. You keep using the clinical judgement you've built on the wards, without the commute or the 3am call.
This is a chance to step into digital health with the security of permanent employment and a predictable weekday schedule.
What you'll get
$246,000 salary package (full-time, pro rata for part-time)
No nights, no weekends: Monday to Friday daytime hours only
Regular hours agreed in advance, so no last-minute roster changes
100% remote work from within Australia
Paid annual, personal and carer's leave
Potential eligibility for a performance-linked incentive plan
Structured onboarding plus ongoing clinical and peer support, so moving out of the hospital doesn't mean working alone
Wesfarmers team member discounts
You'll be backed by an industry-leading clinical governance framework, a purpose-built clinical platform, experienced clinical leaders you can reach, and an active peer community.
Qualifications
Current unrestricted AHPRA registration
Minimum PGY4 experience
Sound clinical judgement and excellent communication skills
A genuine commitment to safe, patient-centred care
FRACGP, FACRRM or another relevant fellowship is highly desirable
As this is a remote clinical role, you'll need a dedicated, private workspace within Australia with secure internet and an environment suitable for confidential telehealth consultations.
If you want to keep practising great medicine on hours that fit your life, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply with your CV and your preferred working days and hours via our website https://www.instantscripts.com.au/doctor-careers

You chose general practice for the patients, the variety and the relationships. You didn't choose it for running 40 minutes behind, drowning in paperwork or spending your day stuck in the same four walls. At InstantScripts, you keep the medicine and drop the grind. You'll earn AUD $200 to $250 per hour from home.
The Role
We're inviting expressions of interest from hospital-based doctors, GP Registrars and Fellowed GPs to provide telehealth consultations from home. These are Independent Contractor (ABN) roles, so you choose when you work and how much, subject to our roster requirements and a minimum hour’s commitment.
General Practice, On Your Terms
Your hours, your call: Work a full day, a few school-hour sessions or an evening top-up.
No commute, no rooms, no waiting room: You can consult from anywhere in Australia, and your day starts as soon as you log on.
Be there for what matters: School drop-off, pick-up, sport, appointments: you build your consulting around your life.
Earn AUD $200 to $250 per hour: Get paid well for your expertise, with the flexibility to scale up or down whenever you need to.
Real General Practice, Safely Done
Uncompromised clinical standards: We have rigorous clinical governance, overseen by both Wesfarmers Health and Wesfarmers Boards. You'll practise real medicine, in an environment built to protect your registration and your patients.
Less admin, less mental load: You'll have access to My Health Record, AI-assisted note taking and an extensive clinical knowledge bank, so you can spend more time on clinical decisions and less on paperwork.
Secure prescribing: We use two-factor authentication and hold ISO 27001 (ISMS) accreditation, so you get security protocols that set the standard in telehealth.
A GP community that has your back: You'll join a collaborative network of GPs with quick access to clinical support and shared knowledge, plus our GP Assistance Program for your wellbeing.
What You'll Need
Fellowship (FRACGP/FACRRM) or VR status, or current enrolment as a GP Registrar
At least PGY4 experience
Current AHPRA registration with no conditions or limitations
The right to work in Australia (we can't offer sponsorship)
Australian residency (working from overseas isn't an option)
Strong communication skills and confidence using technology
Ready to Practise Differently?
If you love general practice but want more control over your time, we'd love to hear from you. Submit your expression of interest today via our careers page https://www.instantscripts.com.au/doctor-careers and help shape the future of healthcare in Australia.
