About the Role
Join our team as a Peer Worker – Mobile Drug Safety Worker (MDSW), on a full time, fixed term basis until June 2027, working in the Drug & Alcohol Services as part of Monash Health.
This role will sit within the multidisciplinary of the Primary Health Clinic (PHC) and Needle Syringe Program (NSP) which offer the provision of basic health interventions, equipment, information and referral within a harm minimisation framework as it applies to people who use drugs in the Greater Dandenong area. This includes covering/supporting the Springvale area.This work will include basic knowledge of infection control, vein and wound care, HIV, viral hepatitis and sexually transmitted infections. The PHC provides an Opioid Replacement Therapy that the Care and recovery team support in providing assistance to the Addiction Medicine Specialist, Nurse Practitioners and other health care workers and clients of this services.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Reduce public health harms associating with injecting drug use
- Draw on their own lived experience of substance use and/or mental ill health and recovery to support others.
- Seek to improve the outcomes of those clients at risk of
- Provide mobile outreach and community engagement to people who use alcohol and other drugs
- Deliver targeted drug-strategy information, brief interventions and referrals
- Work closely with the Mobile Overdose Response Service worker and Proactive Overdose Response Initiative Peer worker in dealing with overdose and providing harm reduction education and treatment pathways for people who use drugs.
- Provide reflective discipline-specific supervision to other Lived and Living Experience Workforce employees, and offer guidance and support to Peer Workers on best practice and resolving complex consumer needs.
Peer Workers act as recovery champions, and practice within the Intentional Peer Support (IPS) values of mutual respect, shared experiences and collaboration. They seek to create authentic connections that foster personal growth and healing. As a non-clinical workforce Peer Workers complement the work of clinical staff without undertaking clinical duties.
Team & Program Contributions include:
- Participate in program development and continuous improvement from a consumer perspective.
- Collaborate with service staff and stakeholders; engage in reflective supervision and peer workforce development.
- Contribute to community engagement efforts that reduce stigma and promote community safety.

The Monash Health Drug & Alcohol Service (MHDAS) operationally reports through to the Mental Health Program and is committed to providing opportunities for change and growth by reducing drug use, the harms from drug use, improving physical and mental health, and reconnecting and or maintaining people’s connections to their family and the community. The principle catchment areas are the Cities of Greater Dandenong, Casey and the Shire of Cardinia with sites located in Dandenong, Pakenham, Cranbourne and Berwick.

Casey Women’s is seeking experienced and motivated midwives to join our leadership team as Associate Midwife Managers in ongoing positions.
With opportunities available across both a dedicated Antenatal/Postnatal Ward stream and a rotational maternity stream, this is an opportunity to build your leadership career while contributing to safe, high-quality and woman-centred care across our growing maternity service.
About the Opportunities
We currently have ongoing Associate Midwife Manager hours available across two streams, with flexibility to consider part-time appointments at a minimum of 0.5 EFT:
- 80 hours per week – Ward B: Dedicated AMM opportunities within our Antenatal/Postnatal Ward.
- 54 hours per week – Rotational: Opportunities rotating across Ward B (Antenatal/Postnatal) and Ward G (Birth Suite/PAU), with the potential to further develop your experience through Clinic and Early Parenting Centre (EPC).

About the Role
As an Associate Midwife Manager, you will provide visible clinical, operational and people leadership, working closely with the Midwife Manager and broader multidisciplinary team.

- Support the Midwife Manager in the safe and effective day-to-day management of the service.
- Coordinate staffing, patient flow and clinical priorities while responding to changing service demands.
- Support, coach and develop midwives to build confidence, capability and accountability.

- Role model high standards of professional practice and woman-centred care.

About You
You are an experienced midwife who is ready to take the next step in leadership, or an established Associate Midwife Manager looking to broaden your experience.

About the role
The CAMHS Clinician - Clinical Mental Health Nurse is responsible and accountable for their own practice standards and activities they delegate to others. The provision of assessment, education, counselling and group work is considered essential components of care which is directed towards the attainment of optimum consumer health and recovery
Key duties of the role
- Direct delivery of proficient mental health nursing clinical care to clients and their families using evidence-based practice
- Ensure services are delivered in a culturally responsive manner
- Contribute to the clinical leadership of nursing & multidisciplinary services for CAMHS to attain consistency of practice standards and local service outcomes
- Actively participate in undergraduate and postgraduate mental health nursing training, as well as quality management, quality assurance, risk management and ongoing service improvement activities.
- Responsible for individual development and education while encouraging and fostering a positive culture and safe work environment.
Skills and Experience
- Registered or eligible for registration as a nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice.
- Demonstrated ability to relate to people from a diverse range of cultural and social backgrounds
- Registered Nurse with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience

Monash Women’s is offering an exciting opportunity for Registered Nurses to join our maternity service at Monash Medical Centre, Clayton as a Neonatal and Postnatal Support Nurse (NPSN).
The NPSN is a dedicated nursing role introduced to strengthen our model of care for women, newborns and families. Working on our postnatal wards, you will provide nursing care to newborns who require additional clinical support, helping mothers and babies remain together wherever clinically appropriate.
You’ll work alongside experienced midwives, neonatal clinicians and the broader multidisciplinary team – bringing your established nursing skills while developing new capability in neonatal care.
About the Role
As an NPSN, you will provide dedicated nursing care to newborns who require additional monitoring, treatment or support on the postnatal ward.
Your role may include caring for:
- Low birth weight and late preterm babies
- Babies requiring blood glucose monitoring and hypoglycaemia management
- Babies receiving phototherapy
- Babies requiring IV antibiotics
- Newborns requiring additional assessment, observation and clinical care
You will assess and monitor newborns, contribute to individualised care planning, recognise and escalate clinical concerns and work closely with the allocated midwife and neonatal medical team.
A key part of your role will also be supporting and educating parents and families, helping them build confidence in caring for their newborn.
This is a fixed term opportunity until June 2027, commencing in October. We have full time or part time opportunities, across a rotating roster, all shifts including night Duty.

About the role
The Senior Clinical Coordinator provides specialist clinical expertise in the coordination and planning of multidisciplinary assessments for children with complex neurodevelopmental concerns. The role leads the development, coordination, implementation, delivery and evaluation of high-quality, evidence-based assessment and management services. The position provides advanced clinical assessment and support to children, adolescents and their families experiencing complex developmental differences.
Key duties of the role
- Manage the delivery of high quality and evidence-based services to children presenting with complex developmental differences in three or more areas of their development
- Have knowledge of child development and of the range of services available for children and their families within South Australia that promote child development
- Contribute to the effective and professional functioning on the Child Development Unit
- Encourage and foster a positive culture and safe working environment
- Participate in service planning to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, equitable distribution and evidence-based nature of WCHN services.
Skills and Experience
- Relevant Allied Health degree with AHPRA registration and professional membership in OT, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Speech Pathology or Social Work.
- Minimum 5 years’ clinical experience as a paediatric Allied Health clinician.
- Experience working with children with developmental delay, disability and complex neurodevelopmental conditions.

About the Department
The Monash Health Early Parenting Centre in Clyde provides specialist support to families experiencing challenges with sleep, settling, feeding, bonding and attachment, and parent craft support. The centre offers clinicians the opportunity to work closely with infants, young children, and their families in a supportive, family-centred environment, helping parents build confidence and develop practical strategies to strengthen their parenting skills. About the Role
Join our team as an Early Parenting Practitioner on a part-time (0.8 EFT, 32 hours/week), ongoing basis to work at the Casey Early Parenting Centre, based in Clyde. In this role, you will be guided under the leadership of the Nurse Unit Manager and working with the broader Casey Early Parenting Centre team.
Working under the delegation and supervision of a Registered Nurse, Midwife or MCH Nurse, you will:
- Work intensively with parents to assist them in realising their parenting goals
- Model and coach parenting skills, helping parents read and respond to their child's cues and explore different types of play
- Support parents in implementing the goals outlined in their care plan
- Apply Department of Health EPC guidance documents, including the Model of Care, Outcome Framework and Workforce Capability and Training resources
This role is worked Monday to Friday on a rotating roster, inclusive of morning, afternoon and night shift.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience, and attributes:
- Experience working with families in the health/welfare sector and in the early parenting period

Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will use advanced clinical reasoning and contemporary specialist knowledge to support consumers with complex and often challenging care needs. Key Responsibilities:

What you’ll actually do
As the PA to the Head of Paediatric Intensive Care, you’re the operational hub of the unit. You’ll provide high-level executive support to the unit head and senior medical staff — coordinating meetings, managing complex calendars, handling correspondence, solving roster challenges and jumping in during staffing emergencies.
You’ll also run end-to-end administration for the unit’s education and course programs (internal and external). You’ll work alongside people who aim high in a genuinely friendly, supportive environment.

- Strong administrative experience supporting senior leaders or managers in a PA/EA capacity

About the role
The Administrative Assistant provides high-level administrative and reception support to the Department. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate clerical documentation, records and booking information. The position supports effective patient care management through accurate record keeping and administration.
Key duties of the role
- Ensure day to day, high level administrative and reception support services are provided to the Department.
- Processing, managing, and maintaining all private and public referrals. Ensure referrals are compliant. Process MBS billing and cash receipts of any gap payments.
- Assist in the provision of quality improvement by taking a leadership role in quality control reviews and improvement programs

Skills and Experience

This is an exciting opportunity to provide strong clinical and operational leadership in a regional setting, ensuring consumers receive safe, high-quality and person-centred care. Overview
SA Health's Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN) is looking for an experienced Registered Nurse or Midwife to lead network operations across a vast and diverse region - connecting patients with the right care, closer to home.
What You'll Be Leading
As Manager Network Operations, you will oversee the safe and timely repatriation of consumers from metropolitan to regional hospitals, ensuring every patient experiences a coordinated, person-centred journey. You will also support the timely transition of aged care consumers from acute beds into appropriate residential care placements.
- Review SA Health capacity dashboards to identify system barriers and provide real-time operational support across the network
- Liaise with metropolitan Network Operations Centres, SAAS Relationship Managers, SHCC, and regional LHN representatives to coordinate transfers across South Australia
- Lead complex discharge planning for regional patients and contribute to sustainable improvements in patient flow
- Provide oversight, escalation, and reporting on issues affecting patient movement across acute and aged care settings
What You'll Bring
- Current registration (or eligibility) as a Nurse or Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, with a minimum of three years post-registration experience
- Demonstrated experience in management or leadership roles within a healthcare setting, including supervision of less experienced nursing and midwifery staff
- Proven ability to engage respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal consumers and communities to support culturally appropriate care - a priority capability for this role within EFNLHN
- Strong skills in conflict resolution, negotiation, and leading change in complex clinical environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using Sunrise EMR
- Working knowledge of the Australian National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and relevant legislation governing nursing practice

What you'll be doing
The Clinical Nurse Specialist Aged Care, using best practice evidence provides person-centered specialist nursing care at an advanced practice level for residents in the aged care setting in collaboration with individual/s and the multidisciplinary health care team. Provides clinical leadership, support and supervision for less experienced clinicians to achieve people focused quality care.
The Clinical Nurse Specialist – Aged Care will serve as the onsite Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) lead for the residential aged care unit, supporting compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant legislative requirements. The role provides leadership in the implementation and ongoing management of an effective IPC program and providing IPC education and training to staff.
Selection Criteria
- Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and relevant post-registration qualifications in Aged Care with a minimum of three years' experience in the care of older people in the inpatient or residential aged care setting.
- Relevant qualifications in Infection prevention and control or willingness to obtain and a demonstrated understanding of antimicrobial resistance and stewardship.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake comprehensive assessments and develop a plan of care, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, which is focused on the expressed needs/wishes of the older person.
- Demonstrate ability to exercise extended autonomy in clinical decision-making capabilities and leadership in the development of nursing specialty practice advancement.
- Proven skills in case management and liaison and the ability to lead a case conference in order to facilitate a timely and appropriate care within the residential aged care setting.
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology, written and verbal means and sound interpersonal skills with the capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking to advocate for and implement individualised person-centred care at an extended role level with a commitment to quality improvement.
- Evidence of participation in own professional development, a commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills with a willingness to apply and share professional expertise as a resource person and mentor others within the specialty.

Transition Support From Day One
Your transition from student to Enrolled Nurse is an important stage of your career. From your first day, you’ll be welcomed into your facility and supported by your Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE) and experienced nursing colleagues.
The transition experience will vary between facilities according to local services and workforce arrangements.
At larger hospitals, including Armidale, Belmont, Maitland and Tamworth, support may include formal Transition to Practice arrangements such as structured rotations, dedicated education and targeted professional development.
At smaller rural and regional facilities, you’ll benefit from personalised support, hands-on learning and the opportunity to work closely with experienced, close-knit teams.
Depending on your placement, learning and development opportunities may include:
- Orientation and local clinical education
- Bedside learning and support from experienced nursing colleagues
- In-services, grand rounds and online learning
- Structured professional development activities
- Group reflective practice and peer-learning sessions
- Opportunities to discuss your progress and development needs
