Monash Health exists to reimagine care, so that people can live their best lives.
We provide safe and equitable care, for every stage of life, delivered with world-leading expertise and over 175 years of experience. As a leading academic health service, we're committed to providing tomorrow's care today by integrating research, teaching and training into everyday practice.
Our team of 24,000 people are full hearted, open minded and all in. Together, we provide more than 250 integrated services for every stage of life at over 50 locations and in the community across south-east Melbourne, Victoria, serving 1.2 million residents in the South Metro Local Health Service Network.
To see first-hand what our colleagues think about working here, take a look at the following short videos monashhealth.org/careers.
About the Role
Join the Casey Adult Crisis Intervention Service (ACIS) as a Grade 4 Mental Health Clinician and play a key role in delivering timely, recovery-oriented care to consumers experiencing an acute mental health crisis. This is a full time, ongoing position, based in Cranbourne.
Working across the community, clinic and via telehealth, you will undertake comprehensive mental health, psychosocial and risk assessments, provide crisis intervention, and develop collaborative treatment and safety plans. You will work closely with consumers, families, carers and a broad multidisciplinary network to support people to remain safely in the community wherever possible.
This is a senior clinical role where you will apply your expertise in mental health legislation, risk assessment and crisis management while partnering with inpatient units, emergency departments and community agencies to ensure seamless care and positive consumer outcomes. The position operates across a seven-day rotating roster including AM and PM shifts.
About the Team
The Casey Adult Crisis Intervention Service (ACIS) forms part of the Casey Area Mental Health Service, supporting one of Melbourne's fastest-growing communities. We provide intensive, short-term assessment and treatment for adults experiencing an acute mental health crisis, delivering care in consumers' homes, within our clinic and via telehealth.
Our team is committed to recovery-oriented, person-centred care and works collaboratively with consumers, carers, families and a wide network of health and community partners. Supported by experienced and approachable leaders, you'll join a highly skilled multidisciplinary team that values clinical excellence, innovation and continuous learning.
About You
You are an experienced Mental Health Social Worker or Registered Nurse with a passion for delivering high-quality, recovery-focused care in fast-paced environments. Confident working with complexity, you bring advanced assessment, crisis intervention and risk management skills, along with a sound understanding of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act and contemporary mental health practice.
You are a collaborative clinician who builds strong relationships with consumers, families, carers and multidisciplinary teams, and you thrive in a role where no two days are the same. Your excellent communication skills, sound clinical judgement and commitment to person-centred care enable you to confidently navigate complex presentations while supporting safe and effective outcomes.
To succeed in this role, you will also bring:
- SW - Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- RN - Post graduate diploma in Psychiatric/Mental Health nursing or a specialist undergraduate Mental Health
- Extensive post-qualification experience in mental health, including crisis assessment and intervention
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across inpatient, emergency and community settings
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, quality improvement and ongoing professional development
Why Join Us?
This is an opportunity to bring your experience to a senior clinical role where your expertise, judgement and leadership can make a genuine difference.
At Casey ACIS, you’ll be there when your clinical skills matter most — supporting consumers and families through some of their most challenging moments and helping people access the right care while remaining safely connected to their community wherever possible.
You’ll join an experienced and supportive multidisciplinary team where your ideas and expertise are valued. As a Grade 4 Social Worker, you’ll also have the opportunity to influence clinical practice, contribute to service improvement and support the development of others, while continuing to grow your own specialist mental health and leadership capability.
In this role, you will:
- Make a meaningful impact for consumers and families experiencing acute mental health crisis
- Step into a senior clinical role where your expertise and professional judgement are valued
- Work alongside an experienced, collaborative multidisciplinary team
- Help shape clinical practice through leadership, mentoring and service improvement
- Access regular professional supervision, education and ongoing development
- Build your specialist mental health expertise and explore future career opportunities across Monash Health
- Access salary packaging and Fitness Passport benefits

Senior Consultant, Change Enablement
Culture & Experience | Monash Health
Lead the leaders who shape healthcare.
At Monash Health, we believe leadership matters. Not leadership in theory, but applied leadership in practice.
We're seeking an experienced and courageous Senior Consultant, Change Enablement to work directly with leaders and managers across one of Australia's largest health services, helping them navigate complexity, lead confidently through change and build the judgement required to tackle difficult challenges before they escalate.
This is not a traditional leadership development role.
You won't spend your days delivering generic training programs or facilitating workshops disconnected from reality. Instead, you'll work alongside leaders facing real organisational challenges, supporting them to think differently, act decisively and build the capability to lead their people through complexity, ambiguity and change.
About the role
Reporting to the Director of Culture and Experience, you will partner with leaders across clinical, operational and corporate environments to strengthen leadership accountability, organisational effectiveness and change capability.
You'll support leaders facing complex and high-stakes challenges, helping them:
-
-
- Build confidence to navigate complex people and team issues
- Exercise leadership judgement instead of relying on escalation or process
- Lead teams through organisational change and uncertainty with clarity and confidence
- Create accountability, trust and performance within their teams
- Strengthen ways of working, role clarity and organisational effectiveness
- Develop the capability to solve future challenges independently rather than creating ongoing reliance on support functions.
- Coach and advise leaders on complex leadership challenges and sensitive stakeholder situations
- Design and deliver targeted leadership interventions at team, service and organisational levels
- Facilitate leadership team discussions, diagnostics and team effectiveness reviews
- Lead organisational health, culture and climate assessments
- Help leaders navigate restructuring, workforce challenges and changing operating environments
- Translate organisational insights into practical leadership solutions and capability-building initiatives
- Build tools, frameworks and resources that support leaders to make effective decisions in real time
- Partner closely with HR Business Partners, Employee Relations, Safety and Wellbeing and broader People & Culture teams to ensure leaders receive the right support at the right time.
-
About you
You are an experienced organisational development, organisational effectiveness, leadership or change professional who is known for your credibility, insight and ability to influence senior leaders.
You'll bring:
-
-
- Significant experience in organisational development, organisational effectiveness, leadership capability, change or a related field
- Strong coaching, consulting and facilitation skills
- Experience working with senior leaders on complex organisational and people challenges
- A strong understanding of organisation design, operating models, culture and change enablement
- The ability to diagnose issues beneath the surface and identify the interventions that will create meaningful impact
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
- The confidence to challenge constructively and hold leaders accountable where required
- Excellent written and communication skills.
-
What makes someone successful in this role?
You'll thrive if you are:
-
-
- Pragmatic and solutions-focused
- Curious and diagnostically rigorous
- Courageous enough to have challenging conversations
- Systems-minded and able to see the broader organisational context
- Coaching-oriented and passionate about building capability
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and complexity
- Collaborative, adaptable and committed to helping leaders succeed.
-
Why join us?
This is a unique opportunity to shape leadership capability at scale within one of Australia's largest and most respected health services.
You'll have the chance to influence how leaders think, lead and create impact across an organisation navigating significant transformation, while working with a highly regarded Organisational Development team committed to building a strong, capable and future-focused workforce.
For a confidential discussion and to explore this opportunity further, please reach out to Sophie Gilbert at [email protected]

About You
You are an experienced and compassionate Social Worker who is passionate about supporting children, families and communities.
