About the role
Looking for a rewarding nursing role with family-friendly hours? Join the dedicated team at Banksia Clinic and make a real difference in the lives of people impacted by alcohol and other drug use across Wellington and surrounding communities.
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide specialist clinical care within a well-established Alcohol and Other Drugs service. Your role will include conducting nursing assessments, administering Schedule 8 medications, supporting opioid treatment programs, developing and reviewing treatment plans, providing brief interventions and telehealth support, and assisting clients throughout their recovery journey.
You will work closely with medical officers, nurse practitioners, prescribers, and Community Health and Mental Health clinicians to deliver safe, evidence-based and client-centred care. The role also involves coordinating referrals, supporting follow-up care, and contributing to prescriber clinics to ensure clients receive seamless access to the services they need.
Banksia Clinic offers a structured and supportive working environment with scheduled appointments, a strong multidisciplinary team, and comprehensive orientation, mentoring and professional development opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse seeking to expand their skills in Alcohol and Other Drugs nursing while enjoying a healthy work-life balance and making a meaningful impact in their local community.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 12:00pm, plus one weekend shift (Saturday or Sunday) from 8:00am to 12:00pm.

Plan, coordinate and deliver high quality nursing care to patients consistent with the Southcare Outreach Service (SOS) service objectives, and South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards.
The Southcare Outreach Service (SOS) provides multidisciplinary care in the community for the ageing population over 65 years of age residing in the Sutherland Shire. The SOS provides short term acute interventions (up to six weeks) by Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, and our consulting Geriatrician to facilitate enhanced patient care and safe clinical outcomes. SOS staff will provide assessment, intervention and referral onto other required services in order to navigate and integrate the patient’s journey between tertiary and primary care.
The Southcare Outreach Service (SOS) provides a 7 day a week service including public holiday coverage, with varied shift times (a mixture of 8hr and 10hr shifts).

Selection Criteria:
1. Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia and current NSW driver’s licence and willingness to use same as required for the position.
2. Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
3. Demonstrated ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery and to guide others in providing service excellence.
4. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
5. Basic computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems.

An exciting opportunity is available to join the South Eastern Centre Against Sexual Assault and Family Violence (SECASA) team as a Counsellor/Advocate. We have a full time, fixed-term, opportunity until October 2027. Based in Dandenong, this role is open to Social Workers and Psychologists who are passionate about supporting people impacted by sexual assault and family violence.
As a Grade 2 Counsellor/Advocate you will provide high quality trauma focused counselling and therapeutic interventions, driven by frameworks of intersectionality, gender equality, anti-oppression, and a human rights-based approach. This position requires a truly collaborative approach, working with clients, their families and key agencies, within the scope of current legislation and professional guidelines. Key purpose of this role includes:
- To provide counselling and therapeutic interventions to people who have experienced sexual assault and/or family violence
- To undertake evidence-based and trauma focussed assessments, case formulation, goal setting, counselling, and crisis response
- To work collaboratively with the client and key agencies to advocate for, assess and respond to identified risk
- To contribute to the After-Hours rosters

Our work is grounded in safety, respect, empowerment and recovery. We provide specialist therapeutic support to adults, children, young people and families, recognising that every person’s experience, needs and pathway to recovery are different.

This role does not involve cancer genetics as there is a separate Familial Cancer Centre based at Monash Medical Centre.
A Day in the Life:
- Provision of prenatal, paediatric, adult and reproductive genetic counselling, in line with current standards of care.
- Perform “duty” to respond to incoming enquiries from patients/referring clinicians, referral triage and administration support.
- Document patient information such as pedigree and consultation notes in medical record.
- Appropriate practical and psychosocial follow up of patients, including post consultation letters.
- Work collaboratively and effectively as part of a team of other genetic counsellors, clinical geneticists, clinical genetics fellows, administration staff, intake assistants, students and other health care providers.
- Participate in research as appropriate.
About You
You are an experienced Genetic Counsellor with a strong focus on patient centred care. Through your hard working and enthusiastic nature you have the ability to adapt to changing settings and work shifts that suit your lifestyle. You have a high level of knowledge and understanding of genetic counselling, including medical, genetic and psychosocial aspects. You have demonstrated clinical placement experience in the provision of genetic counselling. You have excellent written and verbal, English communication skills. This is an opportunity for an experienced software engineer to help build LaunchPad, Monash Health’s development platform for addressing real clinical and operational challenges using modern technologies and AI.

You will work across frontend and backend development, collaborate closely with a Product Manager and provide technical leadership from prototype through to production.

About the Role
We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our Innovation, Platforms and Partnerships team within the Digital and Information Division.
You will combine strong hands-on engineering capability with the judgement to translate product requirements from frontline staff, communicate technical trade-offs and establish the standards needed to deliver secure, reliable and maintainable digital products.
You will also:
- work closely with the delivery team to implement foundational infrastructure, including modern data platforms, API management and an AI platform
- own technical delivery from prototype through to production
- design and implement high-quality user interfaces supported by a robust component library and design system
- work with other engineers to create reliable workflows and APIs
- establish application-level continuous integration, continuous delivery and automated testing practices

What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a collaborative and technically accomplished engineer who can move confidently between hands-on delivery, product conversations and technical leadership. You will be comfortable working in an evolving environment, making pragmatic trade-offs and helping a small team build strong engineering foundations.
You will bring:
- demonstrated experience building and deploying production software systems and applications across frontend, backend and API development
- extensive experience with TypeScript and React/Next.js
- demonstrated experience building application-level CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- strong proficiency with cloud platforms, with Azure experience preferred
- strong knowledge of secure development practices and authentication and authorisation, including OAuth/OIDC and Microsoft Entra ID
- a track record of working directly with end users to deliver digital solutions that are adopted in practice
- the ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders and provide technical leadership within a team.
Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline, and/or significant relevant industry experience, are required.
The following experience will be highly regarded:
- practical use of AI-assisted development tools, with sound judgement in reviewing AI-generated code
- building large language model powered applications, including retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation and guardrails
- familiarity with clinical terminology systems such as SNOMED CT-AU and standards such as FHIR
- working in health, regulated or security-sensitive environments

The Vascular Renal Transplant Surgery at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) offers junior doctors the opportunity to develop their clinical and surgical skills within a busy tertiary service managing a broad range of complex vascular conditions.

The main role of trainees will be to provide care to medical oncology outpatients with exposure to inpatient care at times as well. Advanced trainees will be supervised by consultant medical oncologists and work as part of a multidisciplinary team with other cancer care specialties (Radiation Oncology, Haematology, Palliative Care and Psycho-oncology services). Advanced trainees have access to multidisciplinary team meetings across multiple tumour streams across the network. Trainees will have the opportunity to undertake clinical and translational research projects (e.g. we have one of the largest lung cancer biobanks in NSW) and are supported (and funded) to attend national and international meetings to present their work. All our sites, especially Macquarie University Hospital, have very active clinical trial units. Trainees will get exposure to patients on phase I -III clinical trials.
Our formal teaching program consists of a weekly (1 hour) tutorial/lecture in various oncology subspecialties and a monthly journal club. We have monthly quality improvement meetings and research meetings. First year trainees are encouraged to attend the Basic Sciences of Oncology course. Trainees will also be involved in the teaching of junior doctors and medical students and our hospitals are teaching hospitals of the University of Sydney and Macquarie University.
The Advanced Trainee may rotate to other sites in the Network including Macquarie University, Mater and Orange hospitals.
What you'll be doing
- Under supervision, provide a high standard of clinical care to patients in the area of Medical Oncology to uphold quality service delivery whilst building on skills to become competent in the practice of Medical Oncology in accordance with RACP advanced training requirements.
- Assess, investigate, diagnose, treat and provide ongoing management of in and out patients with oncological diseases and perform procedures and use specialty medical equipment and devices to provide high quality patient care.
- Communicate patient-relevant information to patients and their families/carers and all staff involved in the patient's care, to ensure shared decision-making and timely information transfer. This includes establishing therapeutic relationships, escalating issues when required, and respecting confidentiality and privacy.
Essential requirements
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
- Demonstrated clinical practice as a registered medical practitioner in the last 2 years in a setting appropriate to the needs of the position.
- Completion of at least four postgraduate years and successful completion of the examination requirements of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, or equivalent, and be eligible to undertake subspecialty training in Medical Oncology in Australia.
- This position is subject to an appropriate supervision level which can be supported by the health agency. If the incumbent’s registration conditions include supervision requirements, the level of supervision must be able to be supported by the health agency for this role.
- Valid Working with Children Check, cleared National Police Check.
- Aged Care Check for Australian Government funded positions

The Maternal Fetal Medicine Service is dedicated to the management of complex pregnancies, offering detailed fetal imaging, advanced prenatal diagnostics, and evidence-based care for women and families facing high-risk conditions. The service works collaboratively with obstetricians, neonatologists, genetic counsellors, sonographers, midwives, and allied health professionals to deliver coordinated care.
The Maternal Fetal Medicine team are seeking a Provisional Fellow to join our team. The role provides an ideal training opportunity, with access to ultrasound training, fetal echocardiography, prenatal genetics, obstetric/fetal procedures, high risk antenatal care, obstetric medicine, and research opportunities. The position is ideal for someone training towards CMFM and/or DDU/ COGU qualifications but is also suitable for someone seeking to gain experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine or ultrasound.
- Ward rounds for Maternal Fetal Medicine patients.
- Build ultrasound scanning skills under the supervision of a specialist or sonographer, to the level of being about to assess fetal anatomy, growth and wellbeing. There is a fortnightly fetal echocardiography scanning list, with opportunities to attend.
- Counsel women and families about fetal anomalies, and build skills in fetal procedures under the supervision of a specialist.
- Manage patients in high-risk obstetric clinics, including the Twins clinic, MFM clinic, VIP (obstetric medicine), and Perinatal Loss clinic.
- Coordinate care for women and families requiring complex multidisciplinary care or travelling from other districts within our tiered perinatal network. There is a monthly MFM Outreach ultrasound/counselling clinic at Orange Base Hospital, with opportunities to attend. There is an opportunity to participate in prenatal genetic counselling under the supervision of a geneticist and/or genetic counsellor. There is an opportunity to join the neonatal ICU ward round and teaching activities.
- Participating in a 24/7 roster and may be rostered to day, evening or night shifts across a seven day roster.

- MFM Fellows will be mainly based on in the Maternal Fetal Medicine unit, based on Perinatal Ultrasound Department, Nepean Hospital.

Position details
The Team
THS Pathology-LGH provides Pathology services to Launceston General Hospital and the Northern regions of Tasmania. We are the only public pathology service operating in North Tasmania. THS Pathology aims to deliver a high-quality service to general practitioners, medical specialists and private hospitals, providing patients with no out of pocket expenses for Medicare eligible tests. The team at THS Pathology comprises a large team involving multi-disciplinary scientists, technicians, non-technical staff and Pathologists.
The Role
The role is being established to support Point‑of‑Care Testing (POCT) services at LGH and primary health care centres across the northern region of Tasmania. It will support the implementation of POCT governance throughout the region and will require travel, although it will be primarily based at LGH. The position will work in close coordination with multidisciplinary teams across pathology and broader clinical services, and will serve as the primary point of contact for all POCT matters within the region.
You will need
- Demonstrated post‑qualification experience as a medical scientist, with at least two years experience in establishing, testing and supporting the use of Point of Care Testing (POCT) devices within a multidisciplinary clinical environment.
- Demonstrated organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet operational requirements.
- A working knowledge of medical laboratory accreditation processes, quality assurance and quality control principles, NPAAC requirements relevant for the supervision of medical laboratories, including requirements for the introduction of new diagnostic methodologies.

Details of appointment
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary

The Team
Working within the Royal Hobart Hospital Pharmacy’s Compounding & Cancer Services unit, the Clinical Trials & Specialised Drugs team provide expert care to inpatients and outpatients of the RHH across haematology, oncology, paediatrics and other clinical areas.
The Role
Under supervision of the Team Leader – Compounding & Cancer Care Services and the Lead Pharmacist - Compounding & Cancer Care Services, develop and contribute to a safe and efficient compounding service to inpatients and outpatients of the Department of Health (DoH). Oversee the work of team members whose work includes the specialist areas of extemporaneous, aseptic and cytotoxic compounding, including undertaking training, professional supervision, and support regarding other pharmacy staff
You will need
- Experience in manufacture of complex parenteral or extemporaneous products and/or experience in clinical application of these products.
- Possession of, or working towards, a postgraduate qualification in relevant area.
- Current Driver’s Licence

You will need:

Decision making and supervision will be at the appropriate level according to the trainee’s skills, knowledge and experience.
