About the Service
We’re excited to announce the opening of a brand-new Mothers and Babies Centre in Yass, and we are currently recruiting for a range of midwifery positions. Full-time equivalent (FTE) arrangements will be negotiated with successful applicants.

- A postnatal clinic offering trauma-informed postnatal debriefing and lactation support
- Childbirth education programs
- Virtual midwifery care on weekends

What you'll be doing
The Registered Midwife using best practice evidence provides women-centered maternity care in collaboration with individual/s and the multidisciplinary health care team. Provides supervision and support for less experienced clinicians to achieve people focused quality care.
Selection Criteria
- Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Midwife.
- Demonstrated specific competencies in facilitation of childbirth education.
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology, written and verbal means and sound interpersonal skills with the capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner.
- Demonstrated application of evidence based practice and critical thinking to advocate for and implement individualised woman-centred care with a commitment to quality improvement.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, delegate, and negotiate with others to deliver quality midwifery care with a willingness to show leadership and embrace change in the coordination and delivery of care.
- Recent clinical experience in midwifery care across the continuum including evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills in midwifery and childbirth education with evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise workload and deliver care with integrity and accountability.

The service also offers outpatient and ambulatory programs, including the Paediatric Acute Review Clinic (PARC), the Paediatric Ambulatory Care Service, and outpatient follow-up clinics. These services provide opportunities for Registered Nurses to develop skills in paediatric and adolescent health, clinical assessment, care coordination, ambulatory care and family-centred practice.
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager and supported by the Clinical Nurse Educator, Registered Nurses provide evidence-based nursing care across inpatient, outpatient, acute review and ambulatory settings. Key responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and evaluating care plans, recognising and escalating clinical deterioration, administering medications safely, educating and supporting families, coordinating multidisciplinary care, and facilitating safe transitions between hospital and community services.
The role also involves supervising students and junior staff, participating in quality improvement and professional development activities, and contributing to a positive workplace culture based on Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment (CORE). The position requires participation in a seven-day rotating roster, including morning, afternoon and night shifts.
What you'll be doing
The Child and Family Health Nurse/ Midwife is an integral part of the multi-disciplinary healthcare team, providing nursing care to families/carers of the health service.
The role utilises evidence-based knowledge and skills to monitor the growth, development and health of the child (0 to 5 years of age) within the context of the family, and to provide a co-ordinated family centred approach, advice, health information, first line counselling (where appropriate) and referral to relevant support services.
About You
You are a compassionate and highly skilled Child and Family Health Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a postgraduate qualification in Child and Family Health Nursing. Your clinical expertise enables you to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to infants, young children, and their families, supporting optimal health, development, and wellbeing within a community-based setting.
You demonstrate advanced knowledge and experience in assessing, prioritising, and responding to the health and developmental needs of children from birth to five years of age. Using a family-centred approach, you apply sound clinical judgement and problem-solving skills to identify concerns, implement appropriate interventions, and support families through both routine and complex health situations.
As an effective communicator, you utilise information technology and possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to engage positively with children, parents, carers, colleagues, and key stakeholders. Your ability to build trusting relationships supports collaborative care planning and promotes positive health outcomes for children and families.
You work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and have a proven ability to coordinate and evaluate care that is responsive to individual family needs. Your understanding of managing clients with complex needs in community settings enables you to provide holistic, outcome-focused care while facilitating access to appropriate services and supports.
You are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of infants and children and possess a strong understanding of child protection principles. You are confident in identifying, addressing, and responding appropriately to safety concerns, including recognising and escalating situations where a child may be at risk of significant harm, in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and clinical guidelines.
As an Authorised Nurse Immuniser, or with a commitment to obtaining this qualification within six months of commencement, you are dedicated to promoting preventative healthcare and improving community health outcomes. Supported by your unrestricted NSW Driver’s Licence, you are able to deliver flexible and accessible care across a variety of community settings while maintaining a strong focus on family-centred practice, professional accountability, and excellence in clinical care.

The Child and Family Health Nurse/ Midwife is an integral part of the multi-disciplinary healthcare team, providing nursing care to families/carers of the health service.
The role utilises evidence-based knowledge and skills to monitor the growth, development and health of the child (0 to 5 years of age) within the context of the family, and to provide a co-ordinated family centred approach, advice, health information, first line counselling (where appropriate) and referral to relevant support services.
About You
You are a compassionate and highly skilled Child and Family Health Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and a postgraduate qualification in Child and Family Health Nursing. Your clinical expertise enables you to provide high-quality, evidence-based care to infants, young children, and their families, supporting optimal health, development, and wellbeing within a community-based setting.
You demonstrate advanced knowledge and experience in assessing, prioritising, and responding to the health and developmental needs of children from birth to five years of age. Using a family-centred approach, you apply sound clinical judgement and problem-solving skills to identify concerns, implement appropriate interventions, and support families through both routine and complex health situations.
As an effective communicator, you utilise information technology and possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to engage positively with children, parents, carers, colleagues, and key stakeholders. Your ability to build trusting relationships supports collaborative care planning and promotes positive health outcomes for children and families.
You work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and have a proven ability to coordinate and evaluate care that is responsive to individual family needs. Your understanding of managing clients with complex needs in community settings enables you to provide holistic, outcome-focused care while facilitating access to appropriate services and supports.
You are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of infants and children and possess a strong understanding of child protection principles. You are confident in identifying, addressing, and responding appropriately to safety concerns, including recognising and escalating situations where a child may be at risk of significant harm, in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and clinical guidelines.
As an Authorised Nurse Immuniser, or with a commitment to obtaining this qualification within six months of commencement, you are dedicated to promoting preventative healthcare and improving community health outcomes. About the Role
Join our Radiology team as a Registered Nurse in an ongoing part time basis working across both Monash Medical Centre and Monash Children’s Hospital.

A Day in the Life
As a Research Nurse, you will conduct clinical and academic research projects under the direction and mentorship of the Research Lead/Manager. Under supervision, you will be responsible for:

About the Diabetes and Endocrinology Registrar

The unit provides a range of services including consultation, brief emergency admissions, and planned assessment admissions. Consumer care is carefully planned and managed through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure an integrated and effective service, tailored to the individual needs of each child, family and carer. Oasis is a centre for excellence with an active clinical and research program that integrates and enhances knowledge from psychiatry, paediatrics, neurology, endocrinology, and other specialist medical and allied health services.
All children admitted to the unit are accompanied by parent / carer who remain throughout the admission.

About the role
The Associate Nurse Unit Manager provides perioperative nursing care in Instrument and Circulating nurse roles, supporting ENT Surgery services on a seven-day rotating roster. About the Nurse Workforce Unit
The Nursing Workforce Unit provides a centralised coordinated approach to nursing staff replacement enabling the procurement of the right nurse, at the right classification to cover shift vacancies and meet nurse patient ratios whilst maintaining delivery of high standard patient care. The NWU allows for real time monitoring, analysis and strategic management of issues related to nurse staffing and most importantly provides forward planning to meet any workforce shortfalls and increased clinical acuity needs in the most appropriate and effective manner.
About the Role
We currently have one full-time position available.
The start date for this position will be Monday 23rd November 2026.
There will be a one-month training period from 23/11/26 - 20/12/26 with solo shifts commencing from 21 December 2026.
The Allocations Officer Position operates on a 7-day rotating roster of AM and PM shifts, including weekends (shift work).
- AM = 0530am - 1400pm
- PM = 1330pm - 2200pm
Classification for this position will range between HS1 – HS17 ($65,739.96 - $72.677.28 per annum).
As the Allocations Officer you will be responsible for ensuring that the nursing vacancies across St Vincent’s are filled with appropriate staff in a timely manner with the support of the electronic workforce management system (Health-e-Workforce). You will also undertake all administrative functions in the management of the Nurse Workforce Unit.
- Effectively assist in the management of the staffing allocations service for clinical areas organisation wide
- Liaise with nursing agencies to fill vacancies
- Liaise with the Nurse Unit Managers or the site Hospital After Hours Coordinators if vacancies remain unfilled and to coordinate the movement of available staff
- Assist in the provision of an efficient staff replacement system whilst maintaining a positive interface between clinical staff, professional agencies and NWU staff.
- Maintain accurate records of daily bookings, confirmation and replacement staff.

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver evidence-based nursing care through comprehensive patient assessment, clinical decision-making, care planning, implementation and evaluation. Working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, you will coordinate patient care, respond to clinical deterioration, support patient flow and discharge planning, provide education to patients and families, and contribute to mentoring junior staff. You will also participate in quality improvement and professional development initiatives while promoting a positive, collaborative workplace culture.

About the Department
Coral Ward (4C) or The Monash Children’s Cancer and Haematology Centre (MCCHC) is a specialist paediatric cancer and haematology service located within Monash Children’s Hospital. Caring for approximately 30% of Victoria’s paediatric cancer patients, the Centre provides comprehensive inpatient and ambulatory care across a 16-bed inpatient ward and 12-bed day treatment service. The integrated model brings together specialist oncology and haematology care, nurse-led and multidisciplinary clinics, and day treatment services, providing nurses with the opportunity to develop expertise across a diverse range of paediatric cancer and haematology presentations.
About the Role
Join our team as a Registered Nurse Grade 2 on a part time, ongoing basis to work at Monash Children's Hospital, based in Clayton. In this role, you will be guided under the leadership of Tayn Martindale, Nurse Manager and working with the broader Coral Ward (4C) nursing team.
You will be responsible for delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to paediatric oncology and haematology patients, including:
- Conducting assessments, planning, implementation and evaluation of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and in partnership with patients, their families and carers
- Monitoring patients for critical changes related to cancer and haematological treatment, initiating appropriate emergency procedures and escalating concerns to the Manager as needed
- Supporting timely discharge planning to facilitate a safe and effective transition between inpatient, day treatment and home-based care
- Maintaining accurate, current medical records in line with professional and legal documentation standards
This role requires the ability to work a rotating roster across day, evening and night duty shifts, and the flexibility to move across multiple Monash Health sites as required.
About You
