We are seeking experienced and motivated Registered Nurses and Enrolled Nurses to join our Day Surgery (DOSA) team in Richmond. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a dynamic and fast-paced perioperative environment.
Shifts are currently scheduled from Monday to Friday between the hours 0600-2300, Saturday between 0600 - 2200 and no night duty required. On-call duty is required on Sundays and some public holidays for the Holding Bay only.
About the Role:
In this role, you will rotate across key areas of the Day Surgery unit, including:
- Admissions
- Holding Bay
- Second Stage Recovery
You will make an impact by:
- Ensuring patients and staff are safe through their journey in surgery and recovery
- Demonstrating advanced decision-making, interpersonal and communication skills
- An ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment with a varied multidisciplinary team
- Focus on individualised patient centred care and patient outcomes with a strong focus on family involvement
To be successful in this role:
You will bring a strong clinical skill set in a hospital setting as a trained registered nurse. You will hold a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
You will have:
- Current AHPRA registration
- Demonstrated clinical skill in a similar area
- The ability to work cohesively in a team environment
- Ability to work a rotating roster of AM / PM shifts (excluding night duty)
- Cardiac and Paediatric experience desirable but not essential
- Experience in admissions and discharges in an acute surgical area

The annual salary range for full time Registered Nurses – AUD $85,732- $107,669 and Enrolled Nurse - AUD $75,737 - $82,550+ super + entitlements, depending on registration type, year level and position/experience (prorated for part-time).

About the Nurse Workforce Unit (NWU)
SVHM adopts a centralised nurse workforce model. This means that all casual bank nurses are employed under the Nurse Workforce Unit (NWU) Casual Nurse Bank team, regardless of where they work within the organisation. The Health-e-Workforce platform is utilised by the nurse workforce team to offer shifts fair and equitably to all casual bank nurses according to their skill sets across all wards throughout the hospital.
About the Position
Working across dynamic settings, you will be required to use your exceptional clinical skills to efficiently and accurately plan, coordinate and evaluate care needs to ensure high quality.
We are looking for ENs with 12 months of experience for a casual role. The casual nature of employment allows for flexible rostering depending on supplementary staffing demand.
Classifications for this position will range between IB84 – IB88 ($75,358.40- $80,184.00 per annum, pro rata).
Your Contribution and About You
- Current condition free registration with AHPRA - Diploma of Nursing
- Minimum 12months experience **
- Demonstrated ability to nurse a diverse range of patients and adapt to different work practices and environments.
- The ability to maintain a high level of communication with patients, staff and visitors.
- Commitment to working a minimum of 1 shift per 3 calendar months.
- Valid NDIS check or willingness to obtain
- Valid Police Check or willingness to obtain
** 12 months experience refers to experience in both the specific role and clinical area you wish to work in. For example, if you are an EN with 12 months EN experience, but no RN experience, you may not meet the selection criteria for an RN casual bank role. Additionally, 12 months of nursing experience relates to the clinical areas this experience was undertaken in, for example, with 12 months of RN experience in residential aged care, you may not meet the selection criteria to work in acute clinical settings.

About the Nurse Workforce Unit (NWU)
SVHM adopts a centralised nurse workforce model. This means that all casual bank nurses are employed under the Nurse Workforce Unit (NWU) Casual Nurse Bank team, regardless of where they work within the organisation. The Health-e-Workforce platform is utilised by the nurse workforce team to offer shifts fair and equitably to all casual bank nurses according to their skill sets across all wards throughout the hospital.
About the Position
Working across dynamic settings, you will be required to use your exceptional clinical skills to efficiently and accurately plan, coordinate and evaluate care needs to ensure high quality.
We are looking for ENs and RNs with 12 months of experience for a casual role. The casual nature of employment allows for flexible rostering depending on supplementary staffing demand.
Classifications for this position will range between ZU3 – ZU11 ($84,188.00 - $107,510.00 per annum, pro rata).

What you'll be doing
The Clinical Midwifery Specialist Lactation Midwife provides high‑quality, individualised, woman‑centred lactation and breastfeeding care within a supportive multidisciplinary team, exercising extended clinical autonomy and sound clinical decision‑making. Delivers direct clinical care as required to maintain safe and effective service delivery and respond to clinical priorities across the maternity service. Work collaboratively as an advocate for women and families and as a role model, resource, and mentor to, midwifery staff.
Contribute to the ongoing development of lactation services by implementing, maintaining, and evaluating policies, standards, and clinical practice guidelines relating to lactation and infant feeding including Baby friendly health Initiative (BFHI) accreditation.
Selection Criteria
- Current midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with a minimum of three (3) years full time equivalent post midwifery qualification experience.
- Current International Board‑Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification, or actively working towards IBCLC certification, with a demonstrated willingness and commitment to maintaining IBCLC certification, including meeting ongoing professional development and recertification requirements.
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and recent clinical experience in midwifery care, including the assessment and management of complex breastfeeding and lactation issues for women and babies within a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
- Demonstrated application of evidence‑based practice and critical thinking to advocate for and implement individualised, woman‑centred care, with a strong commitment to continuous quality improvement, service development, and risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to provide safe, high‑quality midwifery care in accordance with relevant legislation, organisational policies, procedures, and clinical practice guidelines, with accountability for professional practice.
- Highly developed written, verbal and digital communication skills, including effective use of information technology, with the ability to build rapport and communicate clearly, respectfully, and professionally with women, families, and members of the multidisciplinary team.

The TSH Nurse Bank offers you the opportunity for extended rotations in exciting Surgical clinical areas, professional development and clinical support. The Nurse Bank Registered Nurses are allocated across the surgical areas to backfill temporary vacancies for example, maternity leave relief and long service leave. This model differs from a casual pool model. Opportunities will be provided to move from the nurse bank to permanent positions on other units at The Sutherland Hospital as vacancies arise. Opportunities include all specialties across the site.
Positions in the nurse bank are either Full-time or Part-time with a minimum of 2 days per week. To be eligible for a position, you must have current Australian work rights, have completed a Transition to Professional Practice Program and have the ability to participate in a seven day rotating roster. The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality nursing care to patients/clients of The Sutherland Hospital & Community Health Service, consistent with SESLHD and The Sutherland Hospital & Community Health Services CORE values, policies, procedures and standards.

About our Department
Dandenong Emergency Department is a busy 24-hour service providing care to the diverse and rapidly growing communities of Melbourne's south-east. With 55 treatment spaces, including four resuscitation bays, a 20-bed Short Stay Unit, and a dedicated Fast Track area, the department manages a broad range of emergency presentations across medical, surgical, orthopaedic, mental health and paediatric specialties.
About the Role
This is a predominantly non-clinical leadership position responsible for overseeing equipment, resources and workforce systems across the Emergency Department.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the procurement, maintenance, storage and inventory management of clinical equipment and supplies
- Leading the Emergency Department Equipment Team and driving quality improvement initiatives
- Providing expert advice and support regarding equipment, resources and operational processes
- Liaising with Biomedical Engineering, suppliers and key stakeholders to ensure equipment and resource requirements are met
- Supporting workforce management systems, including staff allocations, roster maintenance, UKG updates, shift swaps and roster auditing
- Working clinically within the ED department as required
About You
You are an experienced Emergency Department nurse with strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail and a passion for improving systems and supporting teams.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- CNS Level or above
- Minimum four years' recent Emergency Department experience
- Postgraduate qualification in Emergency/Critical Care Nursing
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) via Ahpra
- Advanced knowledge of Emergency Department equipment and resources
- Strong organisational, problem-solving and analytical skills
Experience in roster management, workforce systems, equipment procurement, stock control and inventory management will be highly regarded, as will postgraduate studies in leadership or management.

Join our team as an Associate Nurse Manager – Clinical Lead on a full time, fixed basis until September 2027 to work out of Dandenong Emergency Department.
This is a nursing leadership role representing an integral link between the nursing team and the broader leadership team. You will be approachable, articulate, and a mentor who leads by example. You'll thrive supporting nurses whilst working closely with the Nurse Manager to help drive the operational requirements and key performance indicators of the department, delivering outstanding patient-centred emergency care.
You will be responsible for supporting the management of specific portfolios, including:
- Adult and paediatric quality and safety portfolios, using clinical insights, data, audits and incident learnings to identify opportunities and deliver meaningful improvements in patient care and experience
- Clinical governance and accreditation readiness
- Day to day clinical and operational activities
- Quality, risk and safety, including emergency management and occupational health and safety
This position works non-clinical shifts, Monday to Friday but may need to step in clinically to support the floor if required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience, and attributes:
- Proven people and communication skills, including relationship building, cooperation, conflict resolution and facilitating open discussions
- Demonstrated recent leadership and management experience, including coaching, development and managing performance within a nursing team
- The ability to drive a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement, with strong organisational and time management skills
Key requirements of the role:
- Appointment at Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) level or higher, or demonstrated capacity to work at this level

About Monash Health Pathology Service
You will be joining Monash Health at an exciting time as we work in partnership with Alfred Health to be the premier shared public pathology service in Victoria. As a member of the pathology team you will be helping shape the direction of the partnership. Monash Health Pathology is an integral part of Monash Health. It is the largest public provider of Pathology services in the state and currently operates 6 laboratories. The largest of these is located at the Monash Medical Centre, Clayton, with additional laboratories located at the Dandenong, Moorabbin, Casey, Victorian Heart Hospital and Wonthaggi Hospitals. About the Role - Sonographer (Grade 3)
This position is a staff sonographer position within Monash Health. This person will conduct quality clinical ultrasound examinations. The Sonographer will assist in the education of trainee sonographers, registrars and other appropriate staff. Sonographers are expected to work within the multi-disciplinary team at Monash Health to maintain quality outcomes and efficient workflow.
We are seeking an ultrasound professional who has completed a recognised ultrasound training program and performs high quality ultrasound examinations. About the Role
We are excited to announce we are seeking applications for a Graduate Exercise Physiologist within the Allied Health Mental Health Graduate Program.
This 12-month position, will include two rotations across a range of mental health areas including child, youth, adult and older adults in both community and inpatient settings. This will assist you in developing fundamental assessment, formulation and treatment skills.

The Mental Health Program serves consumers, their carers and families across the south eastern metropolitan region with bed-based, community and rehabilitation programs. The service covers the age spectrum in its entirety, offering client centred programs for 0-25yo in Infant Child and Youth, and over 18 years for Adult and Older Adult Services.
