Join SA Health as a Services Assistant at Elliston Multi-Purpose Service
Elliston is a place where community matters - and so does the work you do. SA Health is looking for a Services Assistant to join the team at Elliston Multi-Purpose Service, part of the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network. If you want casual work that genuinely supports patient care in a close-knit rural community, this role is worth your time.
What You'll Be Doing
This casual position covers a range of hands-on support services that keep the facility running smoothly and patients comfortable. Shifts are rostered on a 7-day rotating basis, with additional opportunities to cover leave as needed. Full training is provided - no prior healthcare experience is required.
- Cleaning and general housekeeping of hospital areas to infection control standards
- Laundry duties including washing, drying, and linen management
- Kitchen hand responsibilities including food preparation and delivery to patients
- Cooking duties as required, following dietary and safety guidelines

- Availability to work a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays

What You'll Be Doing
Working within EFNLHN's Consumer Directed Care model, you'll deliver support shaped by each client's own goals and preferences - because here, the person receiving care guides the plan. Shifts, duties, and frequency reflect the needs of the people you support, giving your work real purpose and variety.
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility in a respectful and dignified manner
- Perform household tasks including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and minor gardening
- Provide reliable transport to appointments and community outings
- Support social engagement and activities that contribute to client wellbeing
- At the WHD4 level, deliver personal care to clients with more complex support needs
What You'll Bring
- A warm, empathetic approach and the confidence to work independently in the community

- Experience supporting aged, frail, or disabled individuals

In the remote outback community of Ceduna, the work of a Community Support Worker carries real weight. At Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN), you'll be the person who helps someone stay in the home they love - offering practical support, genuine connection, and the kind of care that makes independence possible.
What You'll Be Doing
Working within EFNLHN's Consumer Directed Care model, you'll deliver support shaped by each client's own goals and preferences — because here, the consumer leads the care. Shifts, duties, and frequency are guided by the people you support, giving your work real purpose and variety.
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility in a respectful and dignified manner
- Perform household tasks including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and minor gardening
- Provide reliable transport to appointments and community outings
- Support social engagement and activities that contribute to each client's wellbeing
- At the WHD4 level, deliver personal care to clients with more complex support needs
What You'll Bring
- A warm, empathetic approach and the confidence to work independently within a remote community setting
- Sound communication skills and genuine respect for people from diverse cultures and backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities central to the Ceduna region
- Experience supporting aged, frail, or people living with disability

Exciting Casual Opportunity: Community Support Worker
In the remote communities of Cleve, Cowell, and Kimba, a Community Support Worker does more than complete a checklist - you help someone stay in the home they love, on their own terms. At Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN), your presence in Eastern Eyre is the thread that connects clients to their independence, their community, and the life they've built.
Your Role in the Community
Working within EFNLHN's Consumer Directed Care model, you'll deliver support shaped by each client's own goals and preferences. No two days are identical, and that's by design. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and mobility with respect and dignity
- Performing household tasks including cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and minor gardening
- Providing reliable transport to appointments and community outings
- Supporting social engagement and activities that contribute to client wellbeing
- At the WHA4 level, delivering personal care to clients with more complex support needs
What You Bring
- A warm, empathetic approach and the confidence to work independently across small remote communities
- Sound communication skills and genuine respect for people from diverse cultures and backgrounds
- Experience supporting aged, frail, or disabled individuals in a home or community setting
- The ability to work as part of a close-knit, community-based team within EFNLHN's Eastern Eyre service area
- For appointment at WHA4 level: Certificate III or higher in Individual Support (Aged Care, Disability, or Home and Community)

What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering safe, person-centred nursing and/or midwifery care across inpatient and emergency settings at Port Lincoln Hospital
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
- Supporting patients and families through acute episodes, including those requiring maternity or birthing care where applicable
- Contributing to a culture of continuous quality improvement and clinical safety within the unit
What You'll Bring
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Experience in a generalist, emergency or maternity setting - rural or regional experience highly regarded
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and adapt in a smaller hospital environment with broad scope
- Clear communication skills and a commitment to culturally safe care, including for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients
- Willingness to work variable casual shifts across the pool period through to 30 June 2027
