About the role
The Research Coordinator, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) is responsible for initiating, planning and managing complex research programs, projects and services that inform and support the development, evaluation and promulgation of evidence-based care for mental health distress for infants, children, young people and their families in South Australia.
Key duties of the role
- Develop, implement and monitor outcome measures for CAMHS programs and services in collaboration with consumers, carers and clinicians across South Australia.
- Coordinate research governance, budgets and reporting, including evidence-based reports, literature reviews and needs analyses.
- Provide professional advice to relevant committees and planning bodies within SA Health/WCHN portfolios, the public sector, and State and National forums as required.
- Lead the planning, development and promotion of information systems that support agencies to integrate outcomes measurement with local practice and to monitor effectiveness, cost-effectiveness and continuous improvement.
- Maintain a clinical caseload and provide clinical consultation and/or service commensurate with management and research responsibilities.
Skills and Experience
- Appropriate degree in Master's Degree in Psychology or equivalent qualification recognised by the PsyBA and general registration with PsyBA and an endorsed area of practice in Clinical.
- Hold approved supervisor status with the PsyBA at all levels of supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to work within trauma informed principles, and engage, collaborate and co-work with mental health consumers and carers, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people from diverse background.
- Proven experience utilising a range of databases, tools, technologies and processes to undertake qualitative and quantitative research and analysis and deliver meaningful insights within a health services environment.
- Demonstrated experience in leading, managing and guiding multi-disciplinary teams and initiating, planning and delivering complex, concurrent projects that achieve agency objectives, including preparing and reporting on budgets and findings within organisational and grant requirements.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist Aged Care, using best practice evidence provides person-centered specialist nursing care at an advanced practice level for residents in the aged care setting in collaboration with individual/s and the multidisciplinary health care team. The Clinical Nurse Specialist - Aged Care will serve as the onsite Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) lead for the residential aged care unit, supporting compliance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant legislative requirements. The role provides leadership in the implementation and ongoing management of an effective IPC program and providing IPC education and training to staff.
Selection Criteria
- Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and relevant post-registration qualifications in Aged Care with a minimum of three years' experience in the care of older people in the inpatient or residential aged care setting.
- Relevant qualifications in Infection prevention and control or willingness to obtain and a demonstrated understanding of antimicrobial resistance and stewardship.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake comprehensive assessments and develop a plan of care, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, which is focused on the expressed needs/wishes of the older person.
- Demonstrate ability to exercise extended autonomy in clinical decision-making capabilities and leadership in the development of nursing specialty practice advancement.
- Proven skills in case management and liaison and the ability to lead a case conference in order to facilitate a timely and appropriate care within the residential aged care setting.
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology, written and verbal means and sound interpersonal skills with the capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner.
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking to advocate for and implement individualised person-centred care at an extended role level with a commitment to quality improvement.

The Clinical Care Coordinator is responsible for the management and resourcing of the care needs within the facility, documentation and assessments are up to date and in alignment with best-in-class clinical practices.
Monday to Friday from 14:30-22:30 (no weekends). Key Responsibilities- Provision of clinical expertise and leadership of clinical and care service teams across the Care Home.
- Assist Clinical Care Manager to lead carer teams to meet all clinical needs of residents - including monitoring and tracking clinical indicators to achieve best practice clinical care outcomes.
- Responsible to manage all aspects of the assessment, documentation and submission of AN-ACC requirements within the facility.
- Support the effective documentation and full clinical team user support of policies, procedures, and IT system requirements in the facility.
- Coordination of assessment, care planning and review processes within the facility
- Support the admission of new residents to facilities for optimal care assessments and initial consultations with resident and families.
- Ensure accurate information is recorded and in accordance with all organisational and legislative requirements (AN-ACC, resident records and staff time recording)
- Input and oversight into the facility team rosters and ensuring optimal skill mix available for delivery of care to residents.
- Manage and document clinical risk within the facility and ensure a commitment to continuous improvements within the facility.
- You will have an innate empathy for our residents and be committed to continually improving the quality of clinical care provided to them.
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Registered Nurse in an aged care setting
- Current unrestricted Registered Nurse Div 1 with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Post graduate qualifications in aged care would be advantageous but not essential.
- Experience and extensive knowledge of Aged Care clinical assessments, care plans, AN-ACC and accreditation compliance and documentation.
- Engaging style that has ability to easily influence and develop clinical leadership skills across the clinical care team in an aged care environment.
- High level of computing skills to ensure that documentation and reporting requirements can be maintained in accordance with organisational and legislative requirements.
- A confident team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills that has a passion for leading clinical outcomes.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and have a balanced and level-headed approach to emergency and stressful situations that arise.
- Have a valid NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (or ability to apply via How to apply NDIS).

About the role:
Frontline Support Services is looking for an experienced researcher who enjoys investigating complex organisational issues and producing evidence that supports practical reform to join the Innovation stream of the project.
The Frontline Support Services (FSS) project is an initiative that realigns defined administrative, procedural and preparatory tasks from frontline police to a dedicated support workforce of Frontline Support Officers (FSOs). FSS operates as a division of Continuous Improvement, Uplift, and Technology, and its ultimate mission is to return capacity to frontline members for patrol, response, visible policing and active investigation.
The project has established the FSS operating model, recruited and deployed a growing workforce of FSOs, and introduced comprehensive monitoring to determine whether the anticipated benefits of the initiative are being realised. The Innovation stream is responsible for the continuous improvement of the FSS model, guiding it from establishment through to maturity and expansion, and identifying further opportunities to improve frontline service delivery.
The Senior Research Officer will design and deliver a program of applied research and evaluation to inform the future development of FSS. The role will investigate emerging service models, assess the effectiveness and impact of existing initiatives, establish the evidence base for new opportunities, and translate complex findings into clear advice for senior decision-makers. The role will draw on advanced qualitative and quantitative research methods and work across operational policing, organisational design, workforce reform, and continuous improvement.

Designing and undertaking applied research and formal evaluations to support the development, expansion and continuous improvement of Frontline Support Services.
Developing research and evaluation plans, including research questions, methodologies, data requirements, measures and analytical frameworks.
Using qualitative and quantitative research methods to investigate complex organisational and operational issues.
Analysing and synthesising information from multiple sources to identify trends, impacts, risks and opportunities.
Evaluating projects and service models against their objectives and determining the extent to which anticipated outcomes and benefits have been achieved.
Conducting literature reviews, environmental scans and assessments of relevant research, practice and comparable service models.
Developing high-quality research papers, evaluation reports, briefing notes, submissions and presentations for senior decision-makers.
Translating complex research findings into clear conclusions, practical recommendations and actionable advice.
Engaging operational members, subject matter experts, partner areas and other stakeholders to gather evidence and test findings.
Advising on research design, evaluation methodology, evidence quality and the appropriate interpretation of findings.
Supporting appropriate research governance, including consideration of ethical, privacy, information management and methodological requirements.
Managing multiple research and evaluation activities with competing priorities.
About You:The successful candidate will ideally have the following skills and experience:
Demonstrated experience in designing and delivering complex applied research and formal evaluations, preferably in a government, public policy or large organisational environment.
Extensive knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods, including the ability to select and apply methods appropriate to the research question and available evidence.
Excellent conceptual, research, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to critically assess evidence and develop well-supported conclusions.
Demonstrated ability to translate complex research and evaluation findings into clear, practical and influential advice for senior decision-makers.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to independently develop high-quality research papers, evaluation reports, briefing notes, submissions and correspondence.
Demonstrated ability to build productive stakeholder relationships and constructively manage differing perspectives, expectations and evidence needs.
Strong project management and organisational skills, including the ability to manage a program of research and evaluation activities with competing priorities.
Qualifications:
A higher degree containing a substantial research component is highly desirable.
