Reporting to the Manager Ageing, Equity and Community Development, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across Community Transport, Delivered Meals, Home Maintenance, Willowview Social Support Groups and Business Support. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, oversee budgets, contracts, quality and compliance, and drive continuous improvement while preparing the service for significant Commonwealth aged care reforms.

About the Role
Under the direction of the Manager and Team Consultant Psychiatrist and in collaboration with team members, develop and implement strategies that support tenants of public housing requiring mental health and drug and alcohol support and intervention to engage with STAY, to connect with community, referral and other health supports. You will provide peer support to consumers who are part of the program, as well as offering a lived experience perspective to the clinical staff and housing services that consult with us.
You have the necessary skills to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, build and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external health professionals. You feel comfortable working in a ‘non-traditional’ mental health role and are open to new learning. You will contribute to the development and delivery of tenants’ support and referral plans through effective engagement and connection
You are highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic and can apply your lived experience and peer support skills to the support and recovery of others.
- Work within the Strengths Model of recovery orientated practice
- Build a therapeutic alliance with the consumer and family/carers and actively engage them in peer support
- Work within a Community Development and consultation framework, advising from a lived experience perspective.
Classifications for this position will range from Lived Experience Worker Level 4 AK47 – AK50 ($93,605 - $104,270 per annum pro rata)
Your Contribution

- Current Victorian driver’s license

About the Role
Based at our Clarendon Clinic, which is centrally located and close to multiple public transport routes, this is a great opportunity to increase your skills in community mental health. You will provide a high standard of clinical assessment, treatment and support to consumers of the St. Vincent’s integrated adult MHS and their careers, demonstrating excellence in discipline specific and recovery-focused case management skills
You will join a dynamic community mental health team operating under a recovery-oriented model of care, utilising the Strengths Model of Case Management.
- Work within the Strengths Model of recovery orientated practice
- Build a therapeutic alliance with the consumer and family/carers and actively engage them in the planning, delivery and evaluation of their care
- Undertake the assessment, provision of treatment and delivery of targeted interventions to consumers with complex mental health related needs and their family/carers in line with the Mental Health & Wellbeing Act 2022, SVMH policies and strategic direction
Classifications for this position will range from RPN Grade 3 NP81 - NP74 ($107,546 - $119,438 per annum pro rata)
Your Contribution
- Division 3 or Division 1 Nurse with Psychiatric Endorsement from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Post Graduate Nursing in Mental Health qualifications required for nurses and at least 3 years post qualification within the mental health field
