You will be working closely with the established Mental Health Eating Disorder Service, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, local GPs, Hospital In The Home and inpatients teams (primarily Paediatrics). The role is a mix of outpatient and inpatient support.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialised, consultative medical care to young people up to 25 years with eating disorders across inpatient, HITH and outpatient settings, working closely with paediatric and mental health teams.
• Lead and support the multidisciplinary team, supervise junior doctors and advanced trainees, participate in MDT meetings, on-call responsibilities, education and performance feedback.
• Ensure patient- and family-centred, evidence-based and safe care in line with Australian standards and Barwon Health policies, including documentation, risk management, incident reporting and quality improvement.
