FIS provides evidence-based screening, assessment and intervention services for individuals in custody and the community. We focus on areas such as violent and sexual offending, restorative justice, violent extremism and family violence.
As part of the Service Development Branch, you will lead complex clinical service development projects and provide expert clinical and project leadership to support reform, promote consistency, and enhance the quality of service delivery across Forensic Intervention Services.
The role applies advanced clinical expertise together with strong project management capability to identify service improvement opportunities, lead implementation of change, and provide authoritative advice on practice, policy and operational matters.

As the Senior Clinical Project Lead working in the Service Development team, you will:
- Lead and manage complex clinical service development projects and reform initiatives that support the effective, consistent and evidence-based delivery of Forensic Intervention Services across Victoria.
- Drive service improvement, practice integrity and reform through strong project leadership, stakeholder engagement and a sustained clinical lens.
- Provide high-level authoritative clinical advice and guidance on complex clinical and operational issues, and identify practical solutions to improve service quality, practice integrity and service delivery outcomes.
- Lead, support and mentor a small team, while contributing to broader branch and divisional priorities and reform initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing complex projects, service development initiatives or reform activities within clinical, forensic or correctional settings.
- Highly developed clinical knowledge and experience working with high-risk and complex clients, including assessment, risk management, therapeutic intervention and the application of evidence-based rehabilitation frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high-level clinical and operational advice, prepare complex written materials, and engage, influence and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting, mentoring or supervising staff.
- Registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia; or
- Eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW); or
- A master's degree in psychotherapy and eligible for registration with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA); or
- A master's degree in counselling and eligible for membership with Australian Counselling Association (ACA) or Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA); or
- Credentialed as a Mental Health Nurse with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses; or
- Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
- At least two years clinical experience is required post-registration or membership.
- Specialist training and/or postgraduate qualifications in a clinical or forensic field, is desirable.
- A current Victorian Driver's licence is required.

An exciting opportunity is available in the CAPS Central Unit within Parole and Court Practice, Corrections Victoria. The Drug Court Project Officer and County Court of Victoria (CCV) Drug and Alcohol Treatment Court (DATC) Information Sharing Officer is a hybrid position, incorporating the functions of both the Drug Court Project Officer and CCV DATC Information Sharing Officer.
The CAPS Central Unit was established to support and monitor the CAPS in Victoria. The CAPS Central Unit operates within Parole and Court Practice and is responsible for ensuring consistent standards and practices of CAPS are set and strategically monitored to build the confidence in the judiciary in the service and ensure quality, compliance and continuous improvement. The CAPS Central Unit is responsible for the development of practice guidance supporting the delivery of CAPS functions across the state and all court jurisdiction. The CAPS Central Unit also provides operational support for CCS, prisons and courts, court liaison services, training, incident management and advice.
The Project Officer will be responsible for assisting with the development of CCS Drug Court operations within the Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV). This position assists the CCS Central Drug Court team to provide strategic oversight of CCS in the MCV Drug Court.
The Drug Court Project Officer position is responsible for:- Providing support to the CAPS and Case Management Drug Court Practice Leads
- Working closely with Case Management Drug Court Practice Lead within System Integrity.
- Understanding the legislative requirements of CCS within MCV Drug Court
- Preparing correspondence, briefings and reports
- Utilising stakeholder management skills to achieve positive outcomes
- Providing a central coordination service to respond to information requests by the CCV DATC in a timely manner
- Collating data and other relevant information to ensure it is fit for purpose and consistent with the information sharing agreement
You are a highly organised and adaptable professional capable of project support, stakeholder engagement, record management and data analysis. You exercise sound judgement, manage sensitive information with care, and build strong working relationships across teams and stakeholders.
Furthermore, the ideal candidate will bring:
- Strong project management or coordination skills, including preparing reports, papers and meeting materials.
- Strong record management, monitoring and reporting skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to analyse sensitive and complex data, identify issues and provide practical advice.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Confidence using databases, case management systems or business systems; experience with PIMS or E-Justice is desirable.
- Strong organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Knowledge of, and experience in Community Correctional Services and/or prisons is highly desirable.

Skills required

Qualifications
Demonstrated experience managing and monitoring complex frontline services is required. Tertiary qualifications in forensic studies, clinical practice, criminology or a related discipline are desirable.

- Registered as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
- A master's degree in psychotherapy and registration with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).
- A master's degree in counselling and membership with Australian Counselling Association (ACA) or registration with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).

The Aboriginal Health Nurse Practitioner at Dame Phyllis Frost Centre plays a critical role in improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women in custody through the delivery of culturally safe, holistic, and person-centred healthcare.
Working within Western Health's multidisciplinary team, the Aboriginal Health Nurse Practitioner provides advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment, care coordination, health promotion, and advocacy across the continuum of primary healthcare services.
The role supports women throughout their custodial journey by addressing physical, mental, emotional, social, and cultural health needs, while facilitating access to specialist and community-based services.
Our Aboriginal Health Nurse Practitioner partners with patients, families, Aboriginal health services, Corrections Victoria, and healthcare providers to reduce health inequities, strengthen cultural connection, and support continuity of care both during imprisonment and upon transition back into the community.
Through clinical leadership, cultural expertise, and evidence-based practice, the Aboriginal Health Nurse Practitioner contributes to Western Health's commitment to delivering healthcare services at a standard equivalent to the public health system, ensuring Aboriginal women at DPFC receive respectful, equitable, and culturally responsive care.
Key responsibilities Clinical Leadership and Cultural Leadership- Provide advanced clinical leadership in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women within the correctional health setting.
- Champion culturally safe, trauma-informed, and patient-centred models of care that address the physical, mental, social, emotional, and cultural wellbeing of women in custody.
- Lead service improvement initiatives and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, Corrections Victoria, and external healthcare providers to improve health outcomes and continuity of care.
- Deliver autonomous, evidence-based clinical care aligned with Nurse Practitioner standards, contemporary research, clinical guidelines, and Western Health policies.
- Identify health inequities and implement targeted interventions that improve access, quality, safety, and health outcomes for Aboriginal women in custody.
- Contribute to quality improvement, clinical governance, research, and evaluation activities, using data and evidence to inform practice, enhance service delivery, and support equitable healthcare outcomes.
- Provide clinical education, mentoring, and cultural guidance to nursing, medical, and allied health staff to strengthen capability in Aboriginal health and culturally responsive care.

About Community Correctional Services (CCS)CCS contributes to community safety by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connect individuals to programs, services and community. Role OverviewParole and Specialist Case Managers (PSCMs) deliver high quality case management to a caseload of high priority individuals who have committed violent and sex offences under correctional supervision. PSCMs ensure alignment with best practice initiatives, including strengths based case management and dynamic risk assessment in line with Corrections Victoria's Offender Management Framework.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver case management to high priority individuals, ensuring the nature of serious offender management aligns with best practice initiatives.
- Apply strengths based case management approaches and dynamic risk assessment in line with the Corrections Victoria Offender Management Framework.
- Demonstrate outstanding service user engagement, including excellent motivational interaction interviewing techniques.
