Our significant cardiac expansion is now open, bringing together a state-of-the-art Cardiac Hybrid Theatre, expanded Cardiac Investigations Unit and dedicated 12-bed Cardiology Ward. These contemporary facilities are increasing access to specialist cardiac care locally and allowing more Central Queenslanders to receive the investigations, procedures and treatment they need closer to home.
You'll join a growing multidisciplinary team of Cardiac Physiologists, Cardiologists, Nursing, Administration and other health professionals, with opportunities to work across an expanding range of diagnostic and interventional cardiac services, develop advanced skills and contribute to the ongoing growth of cardiac care in Central Queensland.
About you:
We are seeking a Specialist Cardiologist with contemporary Interventional Cardiology experience, including current PCI practice and participation in primary PCI services, together with strong General Cardiology capability.
Importantly, we are looking for someone who wants to contribute beyond the procedural role – a specialist who is excited by the opportunity to help establish a new service from its commencement, develop capability and influence the future of specialist cardiac care for the region.

What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $564,939 p.a. is comprised of:
• A salary rate between $266,839 - $282,912 p.a. (L25-L27)
• A salary rate between $223,136 - $259,187 p.a. (L18-L25)

Who are we?
The PSCP unit is the Tasmanian Government’s cancer screening authority and the leading source of information on cancer screening and prevention in Tasmania.
The Tasmanian Breast Cancer Centre is a new contemporary facility to create a comprehensive hub for public breast imaging in Tasmania, bringing together BreastScreen Tasmania’s successful screening and assessment services, the Diagnostic Breast Imaging Service, and support services for patients with, or at risk of, breast cancer.
The new state-of-the-art Centre will enable the expansion of public breast care capacity in our State, improving access to breast screening and diagnostic breast imaging for Tasmanians.

Medical Practitioners (Public Sector) Award
A remuneration package comprising the Agreement base salary, relevant allowances and other entitlements will be negotiated with the successful applicant dependent on clinical experience and seniority.
Base salary points range for Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1 at $222,789 through to Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 11 at $305,539 with further salary increments available.
Please note that access to the Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner salary range $309,222 - $319,701 is subject to the successful applicant satisfying the criteria for Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1, 2 or 3 as outlined in the Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Market Allowance of $95,000 pro rata per annum
Provision of a fully maintained private plated motor vehicle (subject to working full-time hours) OR allowance in lieu of motor vehicle currently set at $28,786 pro rata per annum, paid fortnightly (with CPI indexation on 1 July each year).
Continuing Professional Development Allowance of $17,483 pro rata per annum.

Servicing a population of approximately 116,000, the Department of Health – North West (DoH), has major sites located approximately 50km apart.
The medical services across the North West region of Tasmania are based primarily at the North West Regional Hospital (NWRH) in Burnie and at the Mersey Community Hospital (MCH) in Latrobe, close to Devonport.
The two hospitals both have very busy emergency and general medical departments. Both Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Paediatrics are primarily located at the NWRH with outpatient services at both sites. Anaesthetic services are provided at both sites however the team is based at NWRH for on call purposes. A busy general surgical service is based at the NWRH with the MCH providing predominately day surgery cases. A rehabilitation service is located in a purpose built ward at the MCH. The Position

The Youth Hospital in the Home (Y‑HiTH) team is part of the Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) in North‑West Tasmania. The Position

Be part of a multidisciplinary youth mental health service (16-25 years of age) delivering high quality mental health care and, in accordance with Mental Health Service principles, National Mental Health Standards, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies.
You will need to:
- Provide clinical expertise in contemporary nursing practice within the Y-HiTH setting, promoting professional standards of practice and an environment conducive to innovation and change that promotes best practice and meets established accreditation standards of practice.

Services are provided through our six main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.
About the Role:Under the Strengthening Medicare Initiative, Northern Health are piloting an integrated outreach model to deliver rapid care and support to older persons in the community. The aim of the Older Persons Care Hub (OPCH)is to provide non-admitted specialist geriatric assessments and rapid short-term interventions to older people in their homes who are at high-risk of hospital presentations.
The OPCH Team Leader will oversee the development of the OPCH, the coordination of the clinical team and the delivery of patient care. This role is also responsible for the development and implementation of the OPCH project, engaging key stakeholders, ensuring key deliverables are achieved and providing regular progress reports to the Department of Health. This is a leadership role that will be responsible for the performance, practice and professional behaviour of the multidisciplinary team (in liaison with relevant Allied Discipline leadership) and professional supervision of the Nursing team. The Team Leader will also be required to carry a clinical caseload (phone or home based).
The OPCH is currently a 6 day per week service working towards a 7day a week service (Hours of work 8.00am - 4.30pm). The successful incumbent will need to be flexible with their working hours which will include working on weekends and public holidays. This is a 40 hour a week position and is fixed term to June 30th 2028.
To be successful in this role you will have:- Minimum 7 years clinical experience
- Extensive experience in the management of complex clients in the acute/community healthcare setting
- Expert knowledge of the broad health care sector
- Proven experience coordinating a service or managing a clinical team (ANUM or above)
- Acute nursing skills
- Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skills, ability to prioritise competing demands

The Department of General Surgery at the Royal Hobart Hospital is now recruiting Surgical Fellows/Senior Registrars and RACS Transitional Fellows for the 2027 year - 1 February 2027 to 7 February 2028.
The Royal Hobart Hospital is the tertiary referral hospital for Tasmania, and the principal teaching hospital for the University of Tasmania Medical School. The Hospital provides most specialist medical services for the region or state. This role has been established to improve the delivery of General Surgical services to patients and assist in the co-ordination and training of surgical Resident Medical Officers (RMOs) and Registrars.
It is ideally suited to Fellow who has recently been awarded a Fellowship in General Surgery, or a trainee who will have completed the training requirements by the time of commencement of employment. The successful applicants would each be attached to one of the sub-specialty units (colorectal, UGI/HPB, or breast/endocrine) and have opportunities for exposure to those fields. Some of the clinical work in this role involves managing acute / emergency cases as part of the Department of General Surgery's Emergency Surgical Unit (ESU). There are also opportunities to be involved with other teaching and research activities.
