FIS provides evidence-based screening, assessment and intervention services for individuals in custody and the community. We focus on areas such as violent and sexual offending, restorative justice, violent extremism and family violence.
As part of the Service Development Branch, you will lead complex clinical service development projects and provide expert clinical and project leadership to support reform, promote consistency, and enhance the quality of service delivery across Forensic Intervention Services.
The role applies advanced clinical expertise together with strong project management capability to identify service improvement opportunities, lead implementation of change, and provide authoritative advice on practice, policy and operational matters.

As the Senior Clinical Project Lead working in the Service Development team, you will:
- Lead and manage complex clinical service development projects and reform initiatives that support the effective, consistent and evidence-based delivery of Forensic Intervention Services across Victoria.
- Drive service improvement, practice integrity and reform through strong project leadership, stakeholder engagement and a sustained clinical lens.
- Provide high-level authoritative clinical advice and guidance on complex clinical and operational issues, and identify practical solutions to improve service quality, practice integrity and service delivery outcomes.
- Lead, support and mentor a small team, while contributing to broader branch and divisional priorities and reform initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing complex projects, service development initiatives or reform activities within clinical, forensic or correctional settings.
- Highly developed clinical knowledge and experience working with high-risk and complex clients, including assessment, risk management, therapeutic intervention and the application of evidence-based rehabilitation frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to provide high-level clinical and operational advice, prepare complex written materials, and engage, influence and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting, mentoring or supervising staff.
- Registration as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia; or
- Eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW); or
- A master's degree in psychotherapy and eligible for registration with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA); or
- A master's degree in counselling and eligible for membership with Australian Counselling Association (ACA) or Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA); or
- Credentialed as a Mental Health Nurse with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses; or
- Registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia
- At least two years clinical experience is required post-registration or membership.
- Specialist training and/or postgraduate qualifications in a clinical or forensic field, is desirable.
- A current Victorian Driver's licence is required.

Forensic Intervention Services (FIS) is a specialist program area within Corrections Victoria that delivers evidence-based screening, assessment and intervention services to support rehabilitation and contribute to community safety. FIS plays a critical role in reducing reoffending and enabling meaningful behaviour change for people in custody and the community.
We're seeking an experienced and dynamic leader to manage Complex Interventions, a specialist clinical service area delivering interventions to people with complex needs. This is a unique opportunity to lead a highly skilled workforce, drive service excellence and contribute to innovative approaches that improve rehabilitation outcomes across Victoria.
What You'll Do- Lead all operational, clinical and business service aspects of the Complex Interventions service area.
- Manage, support and develop a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and support staff.
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and ensure services align with best-practice standards and evidence-based approaches.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders across Corrections Victoria and the justice sector.
- Provide expert strategic advice on offender rehabilitation, forensic interventions and emerging service delivery issues.
- Oversee performance, service targets, staffing and resource management to achieve organisational outcomes.
- Proven experience leading complex service delivery functions and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong operational leadership, stakeholder engagement and people management capabilities.
- Experience managing performance, service quality and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving and influencing skills.
- Knowledge of forensic interventions, rehabilitation services or related human services environments will be highly regarded.
- Ability to lead organisational change and build a culture of collaboration, accountability and innovation.
Demonstrated experience managing and monitoring complex frontline services is required. Tertiary qualifications in forensic studies, clinical practice, criminology or a related discipline are desirable.
Eligibility- General registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA).
- Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Credentialed as a Mental Health Nurse with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses.
- Registered as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.
