You will provide person-centred nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse/Midwife, supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality care across a rural healthcare setting. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you'll contribute to patient assessment, care planning, health education, quality improvement and the supervision of students and assistants, while continuing to develop your clinical skills and professional practice.

Hawker Memorial Hospital is a 13-bed facility, including 4 acute beds and 9 aged care beds, proudly serving the Flinders Ranges region as part of the Multi-Purpose Service (MPS). We provide essential healthcare services including accident and emergency care, general medical care, palliative care, and a range of visiting allied health services. About the Role:
As a Registered Nurse/Midwife, you will provide person-centred nursing and/or midwifery care, assessing individual needs and planning, implementing and coordinating appropriate services to achieve positive outcomes. You will work with increasing autonomy while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and other agencies to deliver safe, effective care.
In this role, you will contribute to quality improvement activities, support care coordination, and provide team leadership as required. You will also play an active role in health education, support the development of students and new staff, and contribute to research and evidence-based practice. As your experience grows, you will provide guidance to less experienced staff and support safe, high-quality care delivery across the service.

About You:
- You must be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and hold, or be eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.
- You must have demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice.

Living and Working in the Flinders and Upper North Region - Hawker
About the Role:
As an Administration Officer at Hawker Memorial Hospital, you will provide confidential medical reception and administrative support that ensures the delivery of high-quality services to the hospital, Medical Practitioner, clients and visiting health professionals. Accountable to the Executive Officer/Director of Nursing, you will contribute to the effective management of medical records, admissions and discharges, data collection and information systems, while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with relevant standards and legislation.
In this varied role, you will deliver professional front-line customer service, coordinate appointments, respond to enquiries, manage financial transactions including Medicare claims and private accounts, and support quality assurance activities. You will also assist with administrative functions such as document preparation, meeting coordination, record management and general office support, playing a vital role in the smooth operation of the Hawker Medical Centre.
About You:
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of clerical/administrative support service, including the maintenance of records and systems.
- Demonstrated experience in office procedures and office equipment (photocopier, printers, facsimile, etc).
- Demonstrated experience in the use of computer-based resources (Microsoft Office, email, Excel, data entry).
- Demonstrated experience in the reconciliation of simple cash accounts.
