About the Opportunity

The Capital Works Procurement Specialist is a dedicated role responsible for leading procurement activities across HammondCare’s Capital Works projects. Sitting within HammondCare’s Procurement function, the role is dedicated to procurement activities for approved capital works projects. The role’s initial and predominant assignment is the Greenwich redevelopment (valued at $300M), where it operates as an embedded member of the Capital Works project team while maintaining functional accountability to Procurement.

The role is responsible for the end-to-end sourcing, contracting and delivery coordination of furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E), specialist equipment and associated services. This includes procurement planning, market engagement, supplier evaluation, negotiation, contracting, production and delivery tracking, logistics, storage, site delivery, installation coordination, asset information and handover.

Working closely with the Greenwich project team, Property and Capital Works, operational stakeholders and enabling functions, the role ensures that FF&E is commercially sound, compliant with approved requirements, aligned with the project program and ready for operational use.

By consolidating complex procurement responsibilities into a single specialist function, the Capital Works Procurement Specialist plays a critical role in reducing program and delivery risk, strengthening governance, and enhancing value outcomes across HammondCare’s Capital Works portfolio.

This is permanent full time position based at St Leonards with hybrid working opportunities. The position will require travel to HammondCare sites.

How you’ll make an impact:

• Develop and maintain a project-specific procurement plan and FF&E sourcing schedule aligned with the approved project program and budget.

• Confirm requirements, specifications, quantities, delivery locations and required-on-site dates with project and operational stakeholders.

• Lead sourcing activities, including market analysis, requests for quotation or tender, supplier due diligence, evaluation, negotiation and recommendations for award.

• Develop procurement packaging strategies that consider standardisation, aggregated demand, local and overseas supply, lead times, storage requirements and delivery risk.

• Establish and administer supplier contracts, purchase orders, variations and other commercial documentation in accordance with HammondCare procurement governance and delegated authority requirements.

• Maintain an integrated FF&E procurement, production, logistics and delivery schedule, including critical milestones and interdependencies.

• Monitor supplier production and delivery performance and proactively manage delays, shortages, defects, substitutions and other supply risks.

• Plan, manage and coordinate the end-to-end FF&E logistics program, including delivery, off-site and on-site storage, site access, receiving, inspection, placement, assembly, installation, commissioning support and packaging or waste removal.

• Coordinate with the project team to confirm that relevant areas are safe, accessible and ready to receive FF&E before delivery.

• Maintain accurate procurement trackers, delivery records, budget and commitment information, warranties, manuals, asset information and handover documentation.

• Support commissioning, decommissioning and operational readiness by ensuring FF&E is delivered, installed, recorded and available for use in accordance with the project plan.

• Provide regular reporting on procurement status, expenditure commitments, forecast costs, lead times, delivery milestones, supplier performance, risks and decisions required.

• Manage supplier relationships and escalate significant commercial, contractual, logistics, safety or performance issues through the agreed governance channels.

• Maintain an auditable procurement record, including approvals, evaluations, recommendations, contracts, purchase orders, variations and conflicts-of-interest declarations.

• Capture lessons learned and contribute to repeatable procurement frameworks, preferred sourcing arrangements and FF&E standards for future capital works projects.

• Partners with Project Managers across Capital Works projects to provide project specific procurement advice and support successful project delivery.

About you:

• Demonstrated experience in procurement and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Support families, caregivers and clinical staff to better understand how dementia impacts each individual.

About the role

The fixed-term part-time role (16 hours per week - Mondays and Tuesdays - until end of May 2027) of Level 1/2 Physiotherapist is to work within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare to ensure a high standard of Physiotherapy service is provided to patients of the Hospital, along with appropriate support and advice to their carers.

The role

Make a difference every day by supporting people living with dementia and those who care for them, as a trusted Workshop Facilitator. This role sits within Dementia Support Australia (DSA), which is a national dementia support service, funded by the Australian Government, led by HammondCare.

As a Workshop Facilitator, you will work in diverse care settings, through the Hospital to Aged Care Dementia Support Program (HACDSP) – a service delivered by Dementia Support Australia.

This role plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of care provided to individuals living with dementia by focusing on building confidence and capacity building with acute, residential care and community aged care professionals.

Through the delivery of professional workshops across Australia, you will confidently engage and motivate each audience to implement practical strategies; to effectively support people living with dementia.

You will apply your expertise in designing, implementing and evaluating educational programs and training initiatives for staff, caregivers and other stakeholders involved in dementia care.

The goal is to equip the team with the knowledge, skills and resources needed to deliver exceptional, relationship-based care and to foster a supportive and enabling environment.

This role is offered as a Fixed Term Contract until June 2028. This role is based out of our Osborne Park Office.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop engaging, evidence-based training programs and learning resources.
• Facilitate high-quality training sessions, workshops and presentations that build knowledge, skills and confidence across diverse care settings.
• Strengthen workforce capability through coaching, mentoring and targeted learning initiatives that support confidence and professional growth in providing best practice care for people living with dementia.
• Montior, evaluate and continuously improve training effectiveness through participant evaluation and feedback.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain accurate reporting and documentation
• Stay updated with best practice and emerging learning methodologies to enhance professional development.

What we need from you

• A minimum of two years demonstrated experience in the delivery of programs in a face-to-face setting and online.
• Proven experience in training and education, ideally within a health care, acute or residential care setting.
• Dynamic personality with the ability to engage audiences quickly with strong rapport building skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong learning agility.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with training technologies and software.
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Current Australian driver’s licence with safe driving record and willingness to travel intra and interstate nationally and interstate
• Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action.

Desirable

• Understanding of dementia care principles, person-centred care, and relationship-based approaches
• Certification or specialised training in dementia care or gerontology
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Health/Allied Health & Education

Physical Requirements

• Ability to occasionally lift and move training materials and equipment.
• Capacity to work in a variety of settings, including office environments and residential care areas.

As a professional coach, you will work in diverse care settings, through the Hospital to Aged Care Dementia Support Program (HACDSP) – a service delivered by Dementia Support Australia.

In this wholesome and holistic role, you can use your empathy, coaching skills and aged care experience; to deliver hands-on, evidence-based dementia support and advice to clients, carers and care staff.

This role is offered as a Fixed Term Contract until June 2028. This role is based out of our Metro South / Logan office.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with peers to assist in developing the skills, expertise and/or applied knowledge of aged care staff and carers, to better support people living with dementia.
• Support the implementation of the recommended Dementia Support Australia plans on the ground, drawing on modelling and coaching techniques; while also seeking guidance from Team Leaders and Dementia Consultants as required.
• Mange and coordinate the use of brokerage items with clients and their carers to improve outcomes for quality of life for the person living with dementia.
• Act as a key liaison and trusted partner, when building respected rapport with staff and carers, resulting in individuals improving their confidence in dementia care practice.

What we need from you

• Strong organisational abilities, including effective time management and ability to prioritise in a busy work environment and competing demands.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated commitment to excellence in customer service principles, including conflict resolution to ensure the consistent provision of exceptional service to internal and external customers
• A current driver’s licence and safe driving record
• Willingness to travel and work intrastate and interstate to support the delivery of Dementia Support Australia services.
• Qualification in relevant field; Allied Health assistant, Diversional Therapy, Enrolled Nursing (EN), Aged Care, Cert III or IV in Individual Support / Leisure and Health or similar highly desirable
• Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action.
