About the RoleAs an Occupational Health Assessor, you will provide onsite occupational health services to workers and clients, supporting injury prevention, health assessments, and workplace wellbeing initiatives.

The Role
We are looking for an experienced National Nurse Manager - Urgent Care to provide national centre of excellence clinical leadership across our growing Urgent Care network.
The successful candidate can be based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane, with travel across Australia required as part of this national role.
Reporting to the Director of Urgent Care, this senior leadership position will take responsibility for the clinical delivery of Urgent Care nationally, ensuring our services continue to meet ForHealth Urgent Care Network policy, clinical governance standards and government contractual requirements.
You will work closely with regional nursing and operational leaders, providing expert clinical guidance, supporting the development of new Urgent Care Clinics and driving consistent, high-quality clinical practice across the network.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced nursing leader who wants to influence Urgent Care at a national level while remaining closely connected to clinical quality, people and service delivery.
The Opportunity
In this role, you will:
- Provide national clinical leadership across Urgent Care.
- Act as a clinical subject matter expert for new Urgent Care developments.
- Support the planning and implementation of new Urgent Care Clinics.
- Drive clinical governance, quality, compliance and risk management.
- Monitor clinical incidents, identify trends and address root causes.
- Support appropriate workforce planning and strategic recruitment.
- Mentor and support Regional Nurse Managers across the national network.
- Drive a high-performance culture through coaching and leadership.
- Support the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
- Lead and promote clinical training and professional development.
- Use performance data and insights to support operational improvements.
- Collaborate with senior clinical, operational and P&C stakeholders nationally.
About You
You are an experienced nursing leader with strong clinical judgement, operational capability and a passion for developing high-performing healthcare teams.
You will bring:
- Experience as a Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner and/or Paramedic
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing/Paramedicine - essential.
- Master's Degree - highly regarded.
- Minimum 3 years' clinical supervisory experience, people and operational management.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in emergency / urgent care nursing and/or paramedicine.
- Urgent Care experience - highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of relevant local, state and national requirements.
- Knowledge of Urgent Care and healthcare service delivery.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical and project management capability.
- A proactive, accountable and solutions-focused leadership approach.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced, confident and forward-thinking Urgent Care Manager to lead one of our high-performing Urgent Care Clinics.
This role is integral to the success of the service bringing together clinical leadership, operational oversight, workforce coordination, and a commitment to an exceptional patient experience. You will act as the central point of leadership on site, ensuring the clinic runs safely, efficiently, and in alignment with ForHealth's quality, governance, and service standards.
You will have the scope to influence local service delivery, drive high-quality clinical practice, and help shape the future of urgent care within ForHealth.
This is a full-time position, with a combination of clinical and non-clinical duties allowing you to remain hands-on while leading operational and people management functions.
Your Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure the centre is safe, efficient, and patient-ready.
- Build strong relationships with local hospitals, PHNs, GPs and community partners to support service growth.
- Support training, competencies, and ongoing development of the clinical team.
- Coordinate equipment, stock, consumables, facilities issues and site presentation.
- Lead recruitment, onboarding, rosters, and workforce planning for all site staff.
- Optimise patient flow, triage processes, and clinical workflows.
- Ensure compliance with UCC standards, audits, quality, and clinical governance.
About You
- Registered Nurse or Paramedic with current AHPRA registration.
- Minimum 3 years of direct clinical experience in either urgent care, ED, remote nursing, paramedicine, or similar.
- Previous clinical leadership, management, or supervisory experience desirable. (ANUM/ Clinical Coordinators encouraged to apply).
- Triage experience is highly regarded.
- Strong communication, clinical knowledge, relationship-building, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, delegate effectively, and lead a multidisciplinary team.
- Flexibility to work across a rotating roster.
- You will be required to provide a Working with Children's check, National Police check if not already obtained and International police check where relevant.

- Provide visible clinical leadership and act as the primary clinical escalation point for complex presentations, incidents and patient safety concerns.
- Support safe, evidence-based clinical practice by embedding organisational policies, clinical pathways and governance frameworks.
- Mentor, coach and support Urgent Care doctors to promote clinical excellence and professional development.
- Foster strong communication across medical, nursing and administrative teams to build an engaged and collaborative culture.
- Partner with Practice Managers and Nurse Managers to optimise patient flow, manage operational challenges and improve service efficiency.
- Monitor clinical performance, patient experience, productivity and workforce trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Conduct clinical audits, review documentation and support compliance with accreditation and contractual requirements.
- Identify, investigate and oversee clinical incidents, complaints and risk while ensuring timely resolution and closed-loop feedback.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and retention of Urgent Care doctors in collaboration with the Clinical Workforce and Recruitment teams.
- Assist in maintaining accreditation standards by overseeing clinical governance activities, audits and holding files.
- Promote GP wellbeing by identifying concerns early and facilitating appropriate support.
- Contribute to achieving Urgent Care performance measures, including clinical quality, patient experience, workforce stability and operational KPIs.
- Participate in clinical leadership meetings and collaborate with State and Regional leadership teams to improve service delivery.
- Champion workplace health and safety by promoting safe work practices and reporting incidents, hazards and risks in accordance with organisational policies.
- Vocationally Registered General Practitioner (VR GP) with unrestricted AHPRA registration.
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification or equivalent (or willingness to maintain).
- Minimum two years' experience post-fellowship, with previous Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care experience highly regarded.
- Previous leadership, supervision or clinical management experience is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience supporting clinical governance, quality improvement and clinician development.
- Strong understanding of clinical risk management, incident investigation and patient safety.
- Ability to analyse clinical and operational data to improve performance and patient outcomes.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance clinical excellence and operational performance.
- Passionate about mentoring clinicians, fostering teamwork and building a positive clinical culture.
