Reference: 2454891
Monash Health exists to reimagine care, so that people can live their best lives.
We provide safe and equitable care, for every stage of life, delivered with world-leading expertise and over 175 years of experience. Our team of 24,000 people are full hearted, open minded and all in. Together, we provide more than 250 integrated services for every stage of life at over 50 locations and in the community across south-east Melbourne, Victoria, serving 1.2 million residents in the South Metro Local Health Service Network.
To see first-hand what our colleagues think about working here, take a look at the following short videos monashhealth.org/careers.
About the Role
Are you passionate about helping Occupational Therapists grow, build confidence and reach their full potential? Here's your opportunity to make an impact beyond your own clinical practice.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Grade 3 Occupational Therapist to step into the role of Occupational Therapy Workforce Clinical Educator at Monash Health.
Working in partnership with the Occupational Therapy Department and the Allied Health Workforce, Innovation, Strategy, Education & Research Unit (WISER), you'll play an important role in shaping how our Occupational Therapists learn, develop and thrive across Adult Inpatient Care. This isn't just about delivering education sessions. It's about creating meaningful learning experiences, building clinical confidence and ensuring our workforce has the skills, knowledge and support to deliver exceptional patient care.
You'll work alongside passionate clinicians, experienced leaders and the WISER Education Team to identify learning needs, develop engaging education programs and bring evidence-based learning into everyday clinical practice.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:
- Lead the development and delivery of engaging, evidence-based clinical education programs tailored to the needs of our Occupational Therapy workforce
- Design practical learning pathways, resources and competency-based initiatives that support clinicians at different stages of their careers
- Provide hands-on coaching, mentoring and clinical education to help clinicians build confidence and strengthen their practice
- Partner with Occupational Therapy leaders and clinical experts to identify emerging learning needs and workforce development opportunities
- Support clinicians to translate new knowledge and skills into safe, effective and contemporary patient care
- Evaluate education initiatives and explore innovative ways to improve learning experiences and outcomes
- Contribute to a positive, connected learning culture where professional growth, collaboration and continuous improvement are encouraged
This is an opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with your passion for developing others, making a lasting difference to the clinicians you support and the patients they care for.
About You
You're the kind of Occupational Therapist who loves seeing others succeed. Whether it's helping a colleague work through a challenging clinical situation, sharing your knowledge or finding a better way to support learning, you genuinely enjoy helping people grow.
You're an experienced clinician who brings enthusiasm, creativity and a collaborative approach to education. You understand that everyone learns differently and know how to turn complex clinical information into practical, engaging and meaningful learning experiences. You're equally comfortable working alongside clinicians in a busy clinical environment, facilitating education sessions or collaborating with leaders to develop longer-term workforce initiatives.
To thrive in this role, you'll bring:
- Strong clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist, with a sound understanding of contemporary healthcare practice
- A genuine passion for clinical education, mentoring, coaching and professional development
- Experience developing, delivering or evaluating education and learning initiatives
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships across teams and disciplines
- A creative and adaptable approach to learning, with the ability to engage clinicians with different levels of experience
- Strong organisational skills and the confidence to manage competing priorities and contribute to education projects
- A commitment to evidence-based practice, continuous improvement and creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment
- A postgraduate qualification in clinical education, or progress towards one, will be highly regarded.
Most importantly, you'll bring a genuine desire to make a difference by supporting others to become the best clinicians they can be.
Why Join Us?
At Monash Health, we know that investing in our people means investing in better patient care. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to influence how Occupational Therapists develop their skills, grow their confidence and progress throughout their careers.
