About the role
Northern NSW Local Health District is seeking dedicated Assistants in Nursing to join our dynamic and flexible teams. If you are looking to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply!
The Assistant in Nursing will be required to provide direct care to patients in accordance with the nursing care plan and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including assisting with patient care interventions as directed and maintaining accurate health care documentation as required

About the Role:
You will lead the delivery of integrated mental health services across inpatient, intensive care and community settings within a stepped model of care. You will provide strategic and operational leadership to multidisciplinary teams, overseeing workforce, resources, service development and consumer outcomes across the continuum of care.

About the Menindee Health Service
Menindee is beautiful little community on the banks of the Darling River and is surrounded by the spectacular Menindee Lakes. The Menindee Health Service is a busy Primary Health Clinic with an Emergency Department as well. We provide chronic disease, community and primary health care services to the community, as well as facilitating a range of visiting services. Our clinic is open Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. After hours and on weekends an RN is on call for Ambulance and emergencies with a second Ambulance trained staff member. Ambulance training will be provided.
How to apply

About the role
The Nurse Manager role is a multifaceted position that supports the Health Service Manager, Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, residents, patients, visitors, and staff of the Collarenebri Multipurpose Health Service in accordance with Western NSW Local Health District policies, procedures, and values.
The role requires strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to effectively support, motivate, and develop staff while fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture. The Nurse Manager must understand the importance of working within allocated budgets and maintaining safe staffing levels in accordance with approved Full Time Equivalent (FTE) allocations. This position will be split between two days Management duties and three days Clinical duties and is on a rotating roster. The Nurse Manager will also undertake Clinical duties to support the delivery of an efficient and effective service within the Health Service.
Key responsibilities include coordinating and completing clinical and operational audits, developing quality improvement plans, and supporting accreditation processes to ensure compliance with relevant standards and best practice requirements.
The Nurse Manager works as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes nursing, support services, and community health staff. The position provides an opportunity to develop management and leadership skills while maintaining clinical expertise and involvement in patient care.
This role offers the opportunity to work with a dedicated and supportive team in a flexible rural health environment. Ongoing training and professional development are encouraged, with access to a wide range of education programs and learning modules through My Health Learning to support continued growth and career progression.
The facility is willing to arrange a temporary accommodation solution for relocation to the beautiful town of Collarenebri for the successful candidate if required.

About the role
As a Registered Nurse within Barraba Community Health Service, you’ll provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with a range of health needs.
You’ll work both independently and collaboratively to deliver safe, compassionate care in line with best practice.
You’ll have access to ongoing clinical support and education from Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Consultants (CNCs) and Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs), as well as a range of online learning platforms.
In this role, you will:
- Manage an individual patient caseload within the community setting.
- Provide nursing care across both the Community and Community Clinic.
- Undertake comprehensive nursing assessments and develop care plans based on individual patient needs.

- Undertake catheter management and provide education and support to patients and carers.

We are seeking dedicated Enrolled Nurses to join us at Urana, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Current Enrolled Nurse registration with AHPRA
- Exceptional Patient Care: Aligning to policy and working within your scope of practice to assess, plan, implement and deliver comprehensive care plans that reflect the identified needs and goals of the patient.
- Critical Thinking: Identify and develop safe and effective strategies to improve practice and patient safety.
- Communication and Teamwork: Maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, patients, carers and families.
