Transform lives, every single day
Do you want a career that means more?
At Anglicare Sydney, we have been serving people, enriching lives and strengthening communities for more than 170 years. As one of Australia's largest Christian organisations, we support thousands of older people, families, children and individuals through aged care, community services, housing and community services programs.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Permanent full-time Recover at Work Coordinator to join our dynamic Health, Safety & Wellbeing team. This role plays a critical part in supporting employees through work-related and non-work-related injuries and illnesses, helping them safely recover and return to work while delivering positive outcomes for our people and the organisation.
Your opportunity
Reporting to the Recover at Work Manager, you will provide end-to-end injury management and workers' compensation support across a diverse and complex workforce.
Working closely with employees, leaders, insurers, rehabilitation providers, HR and medical professionals, you'll coordinate recovery-at-work plans, suitable duties programs and workers' compensation claims management activities.
This is a varied and fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You'll manage a broad range of cases, from straightforward physical injuries through to more complex psychological and long-term recovery matters.
With integrity and resilience, you will:
- Coordinate and manage workers' compensation and injury management cases from notification through to resolution.
- Develop and monitor recovery-at-work plans and suitable duties programs.
- Partner with managers, employees and external stakeholders to achieve safe and sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
- Manage workers' compensation payment calculations and payroll-related activities.
- Ensure compliance with workers' compensation legislation and reporting obligations.
- Support non-work-related injury and illness management processes.
- Contribute to reporting, audits, continuous improvement initiatives and workforce wellbeing programs.
What you'll bring
You are an organised and relationship-focused injury management professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You enjoy partnering with stakeholders, solving problems and helping people achieve positive recovery outcomes.
What's required:
- Experience in workers' compensation, injury management, return-to-work or rehabilitation coordination.
- Sound understanding of workers' compensation legislation and injury management practices.
- Experience managing multiple cases within a high-volume environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Current driver's licence.
What's preferred:
- Return to Work Coordinator certification.
- Allied Health qualifications or experience.
- Experience working for an insurer, rehabilitation provider, broker or employer-side injury management team.
- Experience managing workers' compensation payments and payroll-related processes.
- Exposure to Solv Injury or similar injury management systems.
Why Anglicare?
For 170 years Anglicare has been serving those in need - providing care to older people and services to the vulnerable. With our recent acquisition of Infinite Care and Autumn Aged Care, today we employ 9,500 staff and are blessed to serve alongside 1,500 volunteers. We provide meaningful opportunities and choice, both for the individuals and communities we support and the dedicated people here who make it happen.
At Anglicare, you’ll get the stability and opportunities that come with a strong, well-established organisation that’s ready for the future. You’ll belong to a community of kind, humble and respectful people. You will also be supported to gain new knowledge, deepen your experience and expertise, and shape a rewarding career.
