The role
As a Registered Nurse at Sydney Hospital and Sydney Eye Hospital, you’ll provide safe, compassionate, and person-centred care as part of a supportive interdisciplinary team. Using your clinical expertise and critical thinking, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care while benefiting from ongoing professional development and opportunities to grow your practice in an innovative and collaborative environment.
Where you'll be working
Sydney Hospital and Sydney Eye Hospital is steeped in history, with a legacy of nursing and medical firsts to its credit and has paved the way in many clinical areas - both nationally and internationally.
Sydney Hospital is Australia's first hospital and dates from the arrival of the First Fleet in 1788.
Today, Sydney Hospital and Sydney Eye Hospitals’ state of the art facilities and professional staff provide a unique blend of general and specialist medical services for the public and community, including a 24 hour emergency services, general medicine including close observation unit, perioperative services, specialist hand and eye surgery.
The Hospital is in the heart of the Central Business District in Sydney:
- Directly across the road from Martin Place and St James Station
- Walking distance to various Bus stops
- The light rail is a walking distance on George St and the metro station
- Walking distance Ferry Terminal at Circular Quay
- For Staff who drive to work, subsidised parking is available on site
Selection criteria
- Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience as a Registered Nurse that applies to medical/surgical and/or emergency or perioperative clinical setting
- Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and be able to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
- Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
- Current computer skills and proven ability to use health information systems.
- Demonstrated ability to advocate for and implement person-centred practice.
- Demonstrated application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking to patient care.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own workload.

Lismore Base Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses to join the Paediatric Unit!
The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality person-centred nursing care in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia Standards for Practice for Registered Nurses, and the Policies and Procedures of the Ministry of Health (MoH) and Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD).
There are multiple employment opportunities available. Permanent contract up to 28 hours per week or Temporary Contract/s up to 36 hours per week (until February 2027).

- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority (AHPRA)

Our multidisciplinary team is committed to delivering person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence, wellbeing, and positive health outcomes for older people throughout their hospital journey.
Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital is the main referral hospital for the Shoalhaven region, providing emergency care, medical, surgical, mental health and orthopaedic services. The Kids Rehab department at The Children's Hospital at Westmead are seeking a Permanent 0.7 FTE (28 Hours per week) Staff Specialist to join their team.
What you'll be doing
Provide excellent clinical services to children and their families as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The primary roles will be the AMO for children with movement disorders such as cerebral palsy and acquired injuries such as brain injuries in the Kids Rehab Services.
Participate in review and improvement activities, as well as training and education of staff.
Abide by the hospital code of conduct and participate in annual performance reviews for clinical services in accordance with the Staff Specialist (State) Award.
The Staff Specialist will ensure that;
• Clinical Services are focused on delivering excellent clinical care to children and supporting their families.
• Research and teaching is undertaken and focused on the area of Rehabilitation.
• The Staff Specialist in Rehabilitation Medicine is appointed to provide specialist medical officer involvement in the interdisciplinary care and long term follow-up of children and adolescents with complex rehabilitation needs, ensuring transition to adult based services where required, following onset of disability from trauma, disease or associated with congenital conditions. Provision of specialist paediatric rehabilitation care including inpatient subacute and ambulatory (day rehab and outpatient) rehabilitation services to patients of the Children's Hospital at Westmead and highly specialised care to statewide and interstate patients as needed with neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. There is an expectation that the staff specialist will work collaboratively with other health professionals at the Children's Hospital at Westmead, within the SCHN and in the Community to facilitate access of children to specialty paediatric rehabilitation services and to improve outcomes of rehabilitation intervention for children with complex medical conditions with physical and other impairments causing functional difficulties in day to day living

The Royal Hobart Hospital seeks a highly motivated and team orientated Clinical Nurse Consultant -McGrath Cancer Care Nurse to provide leadership and direction to support and care for geriatric patients within Southern Tasmania who have been diagnosed with Cancer.
Cancer and Blood Services (CaBS) at the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH), is a comprehensive service dedicated to cancer and blood disorder patients including the state-wide bone marrow transplant service. The units together with the McGrath Foundation of Australian work together to provide treatment, research, clinical trials and education regarding these diseases and survivorship care.
The Cancer and Blood Services Team, with their multi-disciplinary approach, not only support the patient but allow health professionals to deliver optimum clinical outcomes for patients and their families. The Role
- Provide expert clinical leadership and specialist nursing care for older people with cancer, supporting comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, care coordination, and referral across oncology, radiation oncology, palliative care, allied health, and community services.
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based geriatric oncology practice, clinical guidelines, education resources, quality improvement initiatives, and service development in alignment with the McGrath Model of Care.
- Act as a clinical resource and advocate for patients, families, carers, and healthcare professionals, while building multidisciplinary partnerships and contributing to strategic planning and the ongoing development of geriatric cancer services.
You will need
- Current Registered Nurse registration with AHPRA, with substantial clinical experience in oncology/cancer nursing and demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge relevant to the care of older people with cancer.
- Demonstrated clinical leadership, multidisciplinary collaboration, care coordination, education, and quality improvement skills, with the ability to develop and implement evidence-based clinical practice and guidelines.
- Highly developed communication, consultation, assessment, and organisational skills, with the ability to provide expert advice, support complex patient and family needs, and work autonomously while contributing effectively to multidisciplinary teams.

About the role
The Management Accountant works within a small team of professionals responsible for month-end and year-end financial and statutory accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting, cash flow planning, fixed assets and capital projects as well as general support for enabling portfolios.
This is a permanent position based at St Leonards with hybrid opportunities.
Key Responsibilities include
- Month-end and year-end financial and statutory accounting, prudential reporting, budgeting and forecasting, fixed assets and capital projects.
- Ensuring the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and end of year reports. Identify and act on improvements in current procedures to enhance efficiency and timely presentation of reports.
- Assist the GM Finance in preparing regulatory reporting (eg. Government acquittals).
- Manage the processing of general ledger journals, corporate allocations, reconciliation of operating system to general ledger, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Liaise with the Corporate Finance Team and the external and internal auditors to assist in the audit and review processes.
- Support in the coordination and management of the annual budget and forecasting process, working with Business Managers and Accountants.
- Coordinate and manage revenue team, maintenance and updating settlement operating system for charges to subsidy and fee rates.
- Managing and supporting one direct report
- Work closely with Finance Officers ensuring best possible client services, understand and apply Aged Care Regulations, debt management and recovery.
About You

- At least 2-3 years practical experience in a similar corporate role
- Degree in relevant field
- CPA or CA qualified or working towards
