Your role at St John of God Murdoch Hospital
St John of God Murdoch Hospital has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Speech Pathologist Grade 2 to join our Allied Health team on a causal basis.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality, evidence-based speech pathology services to patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders. You will work with a high level of autonomy, applying your advanced clinical knowledge and experience to support complex patient care while contributing to the development of the Speech Pathology service.
You will also play an important role in clinical leadership, supervision, education, mentoring and quality improvement, supporting the ongoing development of junior staff and students.
About the role
Provide senior-level assessment and management of patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders.
Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based treatment programs, including short and long-term goals for complex patients.
Provide clinical consultation and expert advice within the Speech Pathology discipline and broader multidisciplinary team.
Participate in ward rounds, case conferences, family meetings and patient review meetings.
Provide education and support to patients and families regarding communication and swallowing difficulties, treatment and discharge planning.
Make appropriate referrals and recommendations for further assessment, treatment and community support.
Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including assessment results, treatment plans and patient progress.
Triage and allocate Speech Pathology referrals to ensure patients receive timely and appropriate care.
Support the supervision, mentoring and development of junior Speech Pathologists, Allied Health Assistants and students.
Contribute to the education and professional development of the multidisciplinary team.
Identify opportunities to develop and improve clinical practice, including emerging areas of assessment and treatment.
Lead and participate in evidence-based quality improvement, research and service development activities.
Contribute to the development and review of Speech Pathology resources, clinical documentation and assessment tools.
About you
You will be an experienced Speech Pathologist with a strong clinical background and the ability to work confidently and independently within a healthcare setting.
You will have:
A tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology.
Current full membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
Demonstrated senior clinical experience, ideally within a hospital or healthcare environment.
Videofluroscopy experience is highly regarded
Advanced knowledge and experience in the assessment and management of communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders.
Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership, supervision and mentoring to junior staff and students.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based clinical practice and continuous improvement.
The ability to identify and implement innovative approaches to clinical practice and service development.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to effectively prioritise and manage a clinical caseload.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to play a key role in the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services.
This position is responsible for maintaining Caregiver and payroll master data within the HRIS to ensure the systematic calculation and processing of fortnightly payroll. Master data includes employment conditions, leave records and accruals, timesheet coding, salary packaging, and employee allowances.
The Payroll Officer will ensure all payroll transactions are completed in accordance with established processes, compliance requirements, and internal control procedures to maintain data integrity and accuracy.
In addition, the role provides support for the resolution of Tier 2 Caregiver payroll queries and contributes to payroll audits, reconciliations, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives as required.
The role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 38 hours per week.
Key responsibilities
Interpret and apply EBA, Award, NES, and payroll legislation to ensure accurate payroll processing.
Maintain and administer payroll master data accurately, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Process payroll transactions across the employee lifecycle, including commencements, changes, and terminations.
Manage leave accruals, superannuation, taxation, salary packaging, and other payroll components.
Review, code, and process timesheets accurately in accordance with payroll rules and requirements.
Conduct payroll audits, compliance checks, exception reporting, and issue resolution activities.
Deliver high-quality customer service by managing payroll enquiries and Tier 2 escalations professionally.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, payroll system enhancements, and team knowledge sharing.
Your skills and experience
You will bring a minimum of 3 years’ experience in payroll administration, with a strong understanding of end-to-end payroll processes and related activities. Your expertise includes interpreting and applying industrial awards, enterprise agreements, and relevant legislation to ensure accurate and compliant payroll outcomes.
With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you’re confident in handling complex or sensitive situations with professionalism. You possess strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, along with the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Experience with systems such as aPay, UKG, or Workday will be highly regarded.

Reporting to the ADON Perioperative, the Surgical Support Services Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of Surgical Support Services across St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital, with accountability for the Central Sterilisation Services Department (CSSD) and Theatre Orderly Services. The role ensures the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality support services that enable the effective operation of perioperative services and contribute to exceptional patient outcomes.

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Health Service Management, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Sterile Services, or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated experience.

Western Sydney Local Health District is responsible for the provision of health services to the local government area comprised of Auburn, Baulkham Hills, Blacktown, Holroyd, and Parramatta and tertiary care. These services are provided through several hospitals and community-based facilities located strategically across the district.
Western Sydney Local Health District is committed to achieving continuous quality improvement in client services within a Quality Management framework, with a supporting Strategic Plan aimed at the continuous improvement of all facilities. The district has individual facilities located at Westmead, Cumberland, Auburn, Blacktown and Mount Druitt.
Westmead Hospital Intensive Care Service (ICS) is a tertiary care facility, with a throughput of 3200 admissions per annum. The ICS admits critically ill trauma, neurosurgery, cardiac surgery medical and surgical patients.
Westmead ICS operates as a Level 1 Neuro-Trauma facility and serves as the designated cardio-thoracic referral center for adult congenital heart disease. The unit comprises 49 beds distributed across four zones, including a 12-bed specialty zone dedicated to cardio-thoracic patients. The ICU manages a comprehensive case mix of complex medical and surgical patients, Haematology cases, and renal transplant recipients. In addition to standard intensive care services, the unit operates extensive extracorporeal life support programs, including Veno-venous and Veno-arterial ECMO, and provides extracorporeal CPR services for both in-hospital and out-of-hospital cardiac arrest referrals..
The ICS Staff Specialist provides clinical leadership in best practice care to critically ill patients, and in the supervision of junior staff.
Selection Criteria:1.Possess or be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia and Fellowship of the college of Intensive Care Medicine as provided for in the Staff Specialists (State) Award.2.Must have Australian Citizenship or Permanent Australian Residency.3.A minimum of 1-year post-CICM Fellowship experience as a consultant or post graduate fellow in Intensive Care Medicine, within a tertiary ICU in Australia or New Zealand.4.Demonstrated sound and broad clinical knowledge and experience in Intensive Care Medicine, with capacity for safe, independent consultant-level decision-making.5.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively and collegially within a multidisciplinary team.6.Demonstrated ability to contribute effectively to the clinical and operational requirements of a busy tertiary Intensive Care Service and integrate positively within an established team.7.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across specialty and organizational boundaries, with an understanding of the role of Intensive Care within the broader hospital and health service.8.Demonstrated commitment to clinical governance, quality improvement, evidence-based practice and patient safety.9.Demonstrated commitment to supervision and teaching of junior medical staff and trainees, including simulation-based education.10.Demonstrated interest and experience in research, audit and/or service development within Intensive Care Medicine. About you

The WHS Coordinator is a business partner role and is responsible for the following:
- Providing support in the management of site WHS activities including ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and in accordance with organisational programs, policies and procedures.

About the Opportunity
This role responsible for ensuring Transformation is planned, communicated, coordinated and adopted across HammondCare's initiatives.
Working within the Transformation Office, the role supports the people side of the business by helping leaders and teams prepare for, implement and embed new ways of working. The role assesses those impacted by Transformation, identifies affected stakeholders, develops practical change and communication plans, supports business readiness, and provides leaders with the tools and guidance required to successfully navigate transformation.
The role works closely with initiative owners, business leaders and Marketing to ensure stakeholders understand what transformation is, why it is happening, and what support is needed to enable adoption. It monitors readiness and adoption throughout implementation, identifies barriers to successful uptake, and works with leaders to address issues that may affect outcomes.
At an enterprise level, the role maintains visibility of transformation activity across the portfolio, helping identify cumulative impacts, competing demands and adoption risks across business units and services. The role ensures significant transformation impacts and stakeholder risks are visible and managed, while capturing lessons learned to continuously improve HammondCare's approach to change and adoption.

About the Opportunity
The Network Engineer is a key role within HammondCare, responsible for planning, implementing and maintaining the voice and data communication services, with a focus on maximum availability and operational performance.

About you
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting and aligning with HammondCare's Christian Mission, Motivation, and Mission in Action
- Bachelor’s degree in IT related discipline
- At least 5 year’s demonstrated experience as a Network Engineer or Senior Network Engineer
- Extensive experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise voice, security, networking, and communications infrastructure across diverse technology environments
- Strong understanding of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices relevant to telecommunications, networking, and data communications
- Broad knowledge of modern communications technologies, including cloud networking, data centres, SD-WAN, WAN, VoIP, wireless, and collaboration platforms
- Technical expertise in routing, switching, TCP/IP networking, routing protocols, firewalls, cloud voice services, and Azure networking

About the Opportunity
This role provides hands-on delivery support, financial analysis and modelling across HammondCare's transformation portfolio.
Working within the Transformation Office, the role partners with initiative owners and business leaders to help plan, coordinate and deliver transformation activity. The role can be flexibly deployed across the portfolio to track progress, support agile ways of working, develop reporting, and strengthen delivery discipline to maintain momentum and achieve outcomes.
The role also contributes financial and analytical expertise, including business case development, financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, benefits analysis and performance reporting. Working closely with initiative teams and Finance, the role helps ensure investment decisions are informed by robust analysis and that costs, benefits and delivery performance remain visible and well managed.
The role is suited to a highly adaptable self-starter with strong analytical capability, a bias towards action and a willingness to work across both delivery and financial activities. Experience in consulting, transformation, PMO, business analysis or a similar environment will be highly regarded.
This is a maximum term contract role for 22 months based at St Leonards with hybrid working opportunities.

About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior Medical Scientist to lead our Automated Chemistry area, overseeing quality, technical excellence and team capability within a high-performing tertiary pathology environment.
Reporting to the Principal Medical Scientist and with the assistance of Pathologists, the Principal Scientist and Automated Chemistry Scientists, you will be responsible for the performance of assays in the Automated area. You will ensure that accurate, high quality and timely results and reports are produced.
Key Responsibilities
Whilst no two days look the same in this role, day-to-day duties may include:
Oversee the Automated Chemistry section: participating in Quality Control and Assurance programs, whilst reviewing and recording non-conformances
Lead a small team of scientists and technical staff within the Automated area, assisting with maintaining the team’s training, education and competency
Ensure equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and record keeping is kept according to protocols
Oversee the usage and performance of the ABL90 blood gas instruments using AQURE, whilst assisting in the training of non-laboratory staff to operate the instrument where required
Drive continuous improvement through the development and implementation of new and improved methods in line with the quality objectives of Biochemistry
Maintain NATA-compliant procedures and documentation.
Classifications for this position will range from RZ5 - RZ7 ($127,535 - $148,309 per annum, plus superannuation), with access to generous salary-packaging benefits.
Your Contribution
The preferred candidate will hold the following skills and attributes:
A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Applied Science or equivalent
Expert knowledge of clinical and laboratory Chemical Pathology, ideally with a minimum of 10 years’ experience
Technical expertise in operating and trouble-shooting a range of general chemistry laboratory instrumentation

The Biochemistry Department is a major section of St Vincent’s Pathology, performing and supporting the results of specialist studies and analysis including molecular biology (PCR), protein electrophoresis, immunochemistry, specific IgE assays, chromatography, immunosuppressant monitoring, breath testing, autoimmune serology, blood gases and automated general biochemical analysis. The department is closely integrated with St Vincent’s Pathology Point of Care Testing (POCT) services and is the pathology centre for co-ordination of Clinical Trials and Contract Testing.

Join St John of God Health Care as TIMS Support Analyst, where you will support the day-to-day use of Technology One Theatre Inventory Management System (TIMS), across St John of God Health Care Hospitals for prosthesis management, theatre inventory billing and replenishment.
About the role
Reporting to the Manager Theatre Inventory and Prosthesis, you will be responsible for providing primary support, training and troubleshooting assistance for Technology One across SJGHC theatres. You will work closely with caregivers to resolve system issues, liaise with the Technology One vendor for escalated matters, and collaborate on system enhancements to improve user experience and operational efficiency.
You will lead the coordination of bi-annual Technology One system upgrades, including impact assessments, testing, communications and implementation activities. The role also involves maintaining complex master data, managing supplier and product information, updating contract pricing, and supporting sites with bulk updates and investigation of data-related issues.
In addition, you will generate and analyse reports to support prosthesis revenue capture, consumables management, benchmarking and rebate reporting. You will provide customer support across sites, assisting with purchasing, product creation, invoice matching, order management, and resolving integration, billing and system-related issues to ensure seamless operational performance.
This position is offered on a permanent, full-time basis working 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role can be based in either Melbourne, Victoria or Perth, Western Australia, with flexibility to work closely with stakeholders across St John of God Health Care's national network.
Your skills and experience
This role is ideal for a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional with advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proven experience managing large, complex datasets. You will have a strong track record of delivering meaningful insights, maintaining data integrity, and supporting business decision-making, while demonstrating excellent organisation, communication and stakeholder management skills.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, adaptable and able to build effective relationships across all levels of the organisation. Experience in healthcare procurement, prosthesis management, Oracle Fusion ERP and WebPAS will be highly regarded, as will tertiary qualifications in data, business, health or a related discipline.
