The Position

The Birthing in Our Communities (BiOC) program provides a coordinated and culturally safe support system for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families during pregnancy and childbirth. By offering a comprehensive mix of services tailored to family and community needs, we aim to build family capacity, strengthen community connections, and safeguard the wellbeing of children. At ATSICHS, through holistic case management, and collaboration with multiple service providers, BiOC empowers families to navigate challenges, develop essential life skills, and access therapeutic support to improve maternal and infant health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Families. The program also engages with families involved in the child protection system, working to address safety concerns, facilitate reunification, and support positive outcomes for children and their families.
Duties
- Support families in crisis - by delivering targeting and brief interventions that build the individual client's ability to regulate and cope with stress and family pressures.
- Build strong relationships with clients through effective micro-counselling techniques (body language, voice tone, active listening) and delivering unconditional positive regard in removing shame or blame perceptions of client beliefs.
- Facilitate evidence-based and culturally appropriate health promotion and parenting education to BiOC mothers, families and FSW's - both individual and group settings as outlined by the manager.
- Deliver immediate safety assessment and safety responses, documented and approved by the Line Manager, in instances of domestic and family violence, self-harm/mental health, and child abuse.
- Facilitate ATSICHS 'Narrative Assessment Tools' completed in full by client ensuring the voices of clients are imbedded in their assessment. Facilitate conversations and introspection on all assessment domains.
- Ensure families are provided care throughout pregnancy, birth, and postnatal period, in collaboration with clients' assigned midwives and appropriate care service providers. Ensure client is supported through the 3 stages of BiOC schedule of care - Antenatal Care, Postpartum Care and Infant Development.
- Ensureall children meet developmental milestones by facilitating family access to ATSICHS paediatric/Mums and Bubs medical services, including access to specialist allied health supports.
- Enrolment in Kindergarten and family participation in early years playgroups.

Provides quality, comprehensive in-patient and/or out-patient (as per individual employment agreements) primary health care services to the Center's patients. Reports directly to the Director of OB/GYN regarding clinical issues and activities related to the delivery of medical care.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Examines, diagnoses, treats and/or refers patients assigned to physician's panel, on an in-patient and/or out-patient basis (as per individual employment agreements); prescribes pharmaceuticals, other medications, and treatment regimens as appropriate to assess medical conditions.
2. Maintains the electronic medical record for each patient seen in accordance with the Center's established Health Information Management policies and procedures to include providing appropriate documentation. Completes thorough documentation of each patient's visit in the electronic health record and ensures encounters are closed within 24 hours in accordance with the Center's established Health Information Management policies and procedures.
3. Assures continuity of care by providing comprehensive medical services on a timely basis as per Clinic schedule within the Center's scope of practice and the provider's training.
4. Refers clients for appropriate specialty care services, lab and x-ray and any other ancillary services that are appropriate for the patient's management and care.
5. Reviews all lab and x-ray reports for patients under his/her care on a timely basis and makes medical management decisions appropriately.
6. Maintains appropriate productivity standards of specialty as established by the Center; maintains appropriate and efficient patient flow and minimizes schedule changes and absences.
7. Provides excellent internal/external customer service via telephone, fax or face-to-face contact to assist patients with their health care needs.
8. Trains, mentors and supervises students and clinical support staff, as appropriate.
9. Takes call after hours and on weekends on a rotation basis with other providers and responds appropriately and on a timely manner to after hour calls when applicable (as per individual employment agreements).
10. Follows established departmental and clinic policies, procedures, and objectives; continuous quality improvements objectives and safety, environmental, and/or infection control standards.
11. Participates in specified health promotion, education and/or prevention programs as needed i.e. diabetes collaborative/health fairs etc.; attends and participates in clinic meetings / departmental meetings and other clinic functions as required by the Center.
12. Reviews patient satisfaction survey of your clinical staff to check for trends of any unfavorable quality practice or issue and recommend corrective action; assure that patient satisfaction surveys are at 94% or above for each medical provider. Provides excellent internal/external customer service via telephone, fax or face-to-face contact to assist patients with their health care needs
13. Responsible for assuring each assigned medical provider is functioning at 100% productivity, providing excellent clinical outcomes and completing assigned chart audits (Peer Record Review) in a timely manner.
14. Performs other related duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited Medical School
Must possess a current unrestricted license to practice Medicine in the State of Texas
Annual continuing medical education as required by Board specialty

About the teamThe Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) service provides specialist multidisciplinary care for women and families experiencing complex and high risk pregnancies, including pregnancies affected by fetal abnormalities, multiple pregnancy and significant maternal medical conditions.

About the roleWe are seeking an experienced and motivated Maternal Fetal Medicine Midwife Coordinator to join our specialist MFM team.
This is a diverse senior midwifery role combining clinical coordination, complex care navigation and service development. You will have core responsibility for coordinating Fetal Medicine Unit and fetal cardiology pathways, while working flexibly across MFM services including Multiple Pregnancy Clinic, Maternal Medicine and other specialist clinics according to service need.
A key focus of this position will be supporting the development and delivery of our emerging virtual MFM model of care. Working alongside the multidisciplinary MFM team and our regional and partner health services, you will help establish coordinated virtual pathways that enable women with complex pregnancies to access specialist expertise while supporting continuity of care closer to home.
A regular day will see you:
- Coordinate complex MFM referrals, clinics, investigations and multidisciplinary care pathways, including FMU and fetal cardiology.
- Support women and families navigating fetal abnormalities, maternal complications and high risk pregnancies, providing compassionate information, education and continuity of care.
- Coordinate and help develop virtual MFM clinics with regional and partner health services, including identifying suitable women, preparing clinical information and investigations, scheduling care and supporting clear follow up and escalation pathways.
- Collaborate across medical, midwifery, sonography, nursing, administrative and external health service teams to improve access, patient flow and innovative models of MFM care.
You are an experienced midwife who enjoys coordinating complex care and working collaboratively across disciplines. You will be comfortable balancing clinical priorities with service coordination and will bring strong communication, organisation and relationship building skills.

The RoleWithin a multidisciplinary environment and in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Consultant - Cardiac Rehabilitation, the Registered Nurse - Cardiac Rehabilitation strengthens health outcomes through the provision of safe, quality, clinically appropriate cardiac rehabilitation nursing care in partnership with patients/clients, their families/carers and other health professionals.
You will need- Current knowledge of, and the ability to apply nursing principles, procedures, and practices in the delivery of patient/client care in a designated practice area and in line with legal requirements and the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council National Competency Standards for Registered Nurses.
- Sound knowledge of, and the ability to acquire, a comprehensive knowledge of cardiac rehabilitation and demonstrated advanced clinical competence in related clinical areas.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills, including written skills and the ability to function effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Permanent, part-time day worker position, working up to 48 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets and deliver
- Manage specified sales territories, consistently develop and grow the territory through engagement with existing and new customers;
- This is a customer facing role and it is expected that at least 80% of time will be spent in the field.
- Manage key accounts and target customers.
- Understand customers objectives, buying criteria and decision-making processes to form long standing mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Attend to customer enquiries and needs.
- Develop sales strategies and tactics in conjunction with the National Sales
- Manager, ensuring alignment to the approved marketing plan, as well as implementation of these strategies and tactics.
- Submit monthly sales reports inclusive of sales forecasting and market intelligence including competitor information by the due date.
- Maintain accurate customer account records and customer database including customer targeting within Sales Force.
- Provide product information, demonstrations and training to customers.
- Manage product trials & - when and where required.
- Enhance case management abilities via ongoing development of procedural and product knowledge, i.e. continuous self-learning.
- Following each procedure attended, ensure debrief with Gastroenterologists/Surgeons/NUMs in order to: Establish likes/dislikes regarding product/procedure. Reaffirm their preference for DT products. Obtain additional business. Set (or re-set) their expectations regarding ongoing DT personnel case attendance. Manage Consignment stock. Obtain purchase order and invoice all items used.
Specifically, focus on building meaningful business relationships with customers, given their higher potential for conversion to DT products.
Be available (and suitably organised, i.e. carry appropriate samples etc.) to discuss business growth opportunities with customers whenever the opportunity arises.
Accurately document all valid issues (e.g. product, procedural etc.) in Sales
Force, and pass on information, in a timely fashion, to National Sales Manager.
Monitor Hospital consignment stock levels, and expiry dates and act upon reordering opportunities, comply with all stock keeping requirements per policy.
Ensure all customers are equipped with product collateral as required.
Ensure all sustainable business growth opportunities are followed-up in a timely manner:
Chase-up outstanding as and when required (with a particular focus on end of month)
