The paediatric team attends all high-risk deliveries and provides neonatal resuscitation, stabilisation, and ongoing care for infants born 32 weeks' gestation or 1500 g, as well as initial resuscitation and stabilisation for infants born unexpectedly below these thresholds prior to NETS retrieval. Our Special Care Nursery provides short-term CPAP, phototherapy, glucose stabilisation, sepsis management, feeding and growth support, temperature regulation, and transition care for infants returning from tertiary units. As part of the Joint Child Protection Response Program (JCPRP), you'll work within a unique tri agency partnership alongside NSW Health, NSW Police and the Department of Communities and Justice to provide timely, trauma informed responses for children and young people at risk of serious harm. Based within the New England Local Health District, this role supports communities across Tamworth, Armidale, Inverell and Moree, delivering specialist health responses that promote safety, recovery and wellbeing for some of our most vulnerable community members.
