About the Role
As Head of Quality Control, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Analytical Sciences and QC laboratory. You will oversee the complete analytical method lifecycle, from development and validation through to GMP implementation, routine testing, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading analytical method development, qualification, validation, transfer, and lifecycle management
- Providing technical leadership across UHPLC/HPLC, qPCR, RT-qPCR, ddPCR, capillary electrophoresis, and related molecular techniques
- Driving the establishment of new analytical capabilities across both development and GMP laboratories
- Leading investigations, CAPAs, risk assessments, and data integrity initiatives
- Acting as the analytical SME during audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions
- Building, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team of analytical scientists
- Collaborating closely with QA, Manufacturing, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, and external stakeholders
About You
- PhD or equivalent in Analytical Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline
- Extensive experience within GMP pharmaceutical, biologics, vaccine, or biotechnology environments
- Strong background in analytical method validation, transfer, and lifecycle management
- Expertise in chromatography, molecular biology assays, and advanced analytical technologies
- Demonstrated success leading scientific teams and laboratory operations
- Deep understanding of GMP, data integrity, and regulatory expectations
- A technically strong leader who enjoys building capability and driving continuous improvement

About The OpportunityThe Medical Officer - Clinical Research position provides medical oversight and participant care across clinical research studies. Working alongside Principal Investigators and the Research Team, you will ensure participant safety, protocol compliance and high-quality clinical trial delivery in accordance with GCP and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct medical assessments and determine participant eligibility for clinical trials.
- Provide ongoing clinical oversight and care throughout study participation.
- Assess and manage adverse events, medical concerns and emergencies.
- Act as Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator as delegated.
- Ensure clinical trials comply with protocols, ICH-GCP, ethics and TGA requirements.
- Participate in site initiation visits, investigator meetings, monitoring visits, audits and inspections.
- Review safety data, laboratory results and clinical findings, escalating concerns appropriately.
- Maintain accurate clinical and study documentation, including investigator sign-offs.
- Collaborate with clinical research coordinators, nurses, investigators, pharmacists, scientists and other multidisciplinary teams.
- Support participant recruitment and retention and contribute to research program development and process improvement
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia
- Current unrestricted AHPRA registration.
- Minimum PGY4+ or equivalent postgraduate medical experience.
- Current Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in hospital or outpatient settings.
- Experience conducting commercially sponsored clinical trials.
- Experience in oncology, haematology, radiation oncology or a related specialty.
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) training.
