About the role

Join Mater Mothers' Neonatal Critical Care Unit (NCCU) as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner and play a key clinical and leadership role in the care of sick and preterm newborns.

Based within Mater Mothers' public and private hospitals, our NCCU is a highly specialised tertiary referral service supporting babies requiring complex neonatal, cardiac and surgical care across Southeast and Central Queensland and Northern New South Wales. The service includes 47 intensive care cots and 32 special care cots, alongside specialist services including the Mater Babies' Clinic, Growth and Development Clinic, Maternal fetal medicine service and retinopathy of prematurity service.

As a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner, you will provide advanced and extended nursing practice within neonatology, exercising independent clinical judgement to assess, investigate, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. Working closely with specialist neonatologists and the broader multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to clinical leadership, education, research, quality improvement and clinical governance.

What you'll be doing

• Provide advanced, evidence-based neonatal care, working autonomously and in partnership with neonatologists and the multidisciplinary team.

About you

You are an experienced neonatal clinician and Nurse Practitioner who brings advanced clinical knowledge, sound judgement and a commitment to education, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Essential:

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
• Current endorsement with AHPRA as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Minimum five years' experience in the relevant clinical specialty.

Mater Research are looking for a Senior Research Officer to join the team! This is a two-year fixed-term role in a full-time capacity at 38 hours per week. It will be based at our South Brisbane campus.

This role is based on Turrbal and Jagera Country, intended for current or emerging Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander research leaders. Fellows are expected to build an individual research profile, establish national and international collaborations, and progressively transition towards research independence and future co-leadership opportunities. Career Track Fellows will be engaged in leadership meetings and activities involving the Group Leaders including the monthly discussion forums and professional training activities. Career Track Fellows will be engaged in some committee/administrative work to increase research leadership skills and service.

Mater is seeking Staff Anaesthetists to join our team in full-time or part-time, maximum-term appointments, with flexible commencement. The role sit as part of an integrated anaesthesia service working across both Springfield and South Brisbane, offering exposure to a broad and diverse case mix spanning secondary and tertiary care.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a state-of-the-art greenfield hospital at Springfield, while also maintaining strong links to the depth and complexity of a major tertiary centre at South Brisbane including Australia's largest maternity hospital. Together, these sites support a comprehensive range of services including ICU, maternity, emergency, and medical and surgical care. Mater Mother's is seeking an experienced and dedicated specialist Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join our dynamic and highly skilled team. Importantly, the successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively with medical, midwifery, allied health and non-clinical colleagues to help us deliver consistent, evidence-based, high value healthcare. The Mater Specialist will be actively involved in teaching residents and registrars and measuring and improving healthcare service delivery through activities such as inter-disciplinary education, team-based and technical simulation, clinical audit, safety and quality activities and research.

The successful candidate will work within Mater's HATCH private model of care, providing antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care. The successful applicant will be expected to hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG) and current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Mater has finalised the strategic acquisition of Healthscope's Gold Coast Private Hospital, this is a significant milestone in Mater's commitment to delivering exceptional and compassionate care to Queensland communities.

Based at our Gold Coast Campus, this role will be part of our state-of-the-art 339 bed facility located in Southport. This facility was established in 2016 and offers a wide range of specialities across Emergency, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastics, ENT, General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care and Oncology.

What you'll be doing

• Work collaboratively with the Supply Chain Operations team to resolve order discrepancies and stock-related issues
• Assist with stocktake activities and maintain effective inventory control processes
• Follow imprest management procedures and contribute to continuous system and process improvements
