WHERE YOU'LL BE AND WHAT YOU'LL DOOrroroo is a welcoming rural town located 257 kilometres north of Adelaide, ideally positioned at the crossroads of the Sydney–Perth Highway and the Adelaide–Blinman route through the breathtaking Flinders Ranges. Serving as a vital hub for the surrounding agricultural region, Orroroo is a picturesque farming community known for its wheat, wool, sheep, and cattle production—and for its strong sense of connection and pride.

Orroroo Community Home is a 16-bed residential aged care facility, staffed by a dedicated team of Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, and Direct Care Workers. Nurses work collaboratively across services and are well supported with:
- 24/7 access to medical officers (with after-hours on-call)
- South Australian Virtual Emergency Service (SAVES)
- After-hours on-call nursing support

Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) is a principal tertiary referral hospital within Northern Sydney Local Health District, delivering a comprehensive range of complex and highly specialised healthcare services to patients across Northern Sydney and New South Wales.

What you'll be doing
Merit Selection

What you'll be doing
The primary purpose of the position is to provide quality obstetric and gynaecological care to patients in a complex clinical environment whilst developing higher professional maturity and professionalism during the RANZCOG Advanced Training Program, with the goal of obtaining FRANZCOG. Provisional Fellows will, under an appropriate level of supervision by senior staff as approved by the RANZCOG, evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to female patients of all ages presenting in any condition or stage of pregnancy or the puerperium; and female patients presenting with illnesses, injuries and disorders of the gynaecological or genitourinary system.

The Consultant provides specialist cardiology services across inpatient, outpatient and community settings, delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to optimise patient outcomes. Your Role at St John of God Murdoch Hospital
As our Director of Clinical and Physician Training (DCPT) you will provide senior clinical education leadership and oversight for Doctors in Training (DiTs) at St John of God Murdoch Hospital. Working closely with the Deputy Director Medical Services, you will help deliver high-quality training, supervision and workforce development initiatives that support the next generation of medical professionals.
A key focus of this role is strengthening the education, supervision, assessment and professional development of Doctors in Training (DiTs) through contemporary and innovative approaches to medical education. Success will require excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach, enabling you to provide leadership in supervision and assessment, support educational and performance matters, contribute to accreditation activities, and use feedback and data-driven insights to continually enhance training outcomes.
In partnership with Medical Services, the Medical Education Officer, Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs), clinical supervisors and other stakeholders to support the planning, delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement of prevocational and relevant vocational medical training programs. The role will also contribute to postgraduate medical education accreditation and engagement with relevant Colleges, training bodies and external agencies.
You will foster strong engagement with VMOs and clinical supervisors, leveraging their expertise to strengthen training, mentorship and career development opportunities for Doctors in Training (DiTs)
This flexible, permanent part-time opportunity is offered at 0.2 FTE (16 hours per fortnight).
About You
You will be a specialist medical practitioner eligible for AHPRA registration, with demonstrated clinical leadership experience in a hospital, health service or community setting.
You will be passionate about developing future doctors, you will bring experience in mentoring, supervising and assessing Doctors in Training, together with the ability to provide constructive feedback that supports both professional growth and safe clinical practice. You will be a collaborative and influential communicator, capable of building strong relationships with VMOs, clinical supervisors, education teams, accreditation bodies and other stakeholders.
You will have experience in medical education, quality improvement, program evaluation, simulation, workforce capability or educational innovation will be highly regarded, as will an understanding of postgraduate medical training frameworks, accreditation requirements and the support needs of International Medical Graduates. Knowledge of the operational and resource considerations associated with medical education will support your success in this role.

This position is being offered on a permanent part-time basis at 0.5 FTE (38 hours per fortnight)
You will have previous experience in a similar role, providing support to Junior Medical Officers (JMOs) in a health care setting and you will be able to demonstrate experience in the monitoring of training programs and feedback evaluation.
You will have a strong understanding of education and training program development within a healthcare setting, together with comprehensive knowledge of the requirements and accreditation standards of the Australian Medical Council (AMC), the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (Ahpra) and the Postgraduate Medical Council of Western Australia (PMCWA). Your ability to apply this knowledge in practice will enable you to support high-quality assessment, education and professional development outcomes for International Medical Graduates (IMGs).

What you'll be doing

What you'll be doing
Critically ill patients include patients with life-threatening single and multiple organ system failure, those at risk of clinical deterioration as well as those requiring resuscitation and/or management in an intensive care unit. The VirtualKIDS department are looking for a Temporary Staff Specialist to join their team at 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week) for a 12 month contract. This position is based within the Sydney Children's Hospital Network with regular travel to regional areas as per the position description.
The VirtualKIDS Staff Specialist Paediatrician (Rural and Regional Specialist Support) will work within Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN) virtualKIDS to provide specialist paediatric outreach, virtual care and clinical capability support to designated regional and rural hospitals across NSW, including sites such as Goulburn Base Hospital.
The role will deliver an integrated model of care combining regular face-to-face outreach with ongoing virtual specialist support. The Staff Specialist will undertake a minimum continuous period of one week on site each month at the participating rural or regional hospital and contribute to the local paediatric service, including inpatient care, emergency consultation, outpatient activity, clinical handover and participation in the local paediatric on-call roster. These duties will be undertaken within the Staff Specialist’s approved scope of practice and in accordance with agreed credentialing, rostering and clinical governance arrangements. For the remainder of each month, the Staff Specialist will ordinarily be based at SCHN and provide scheduled and responsive virtual support to the regional site. This may include specialist consultation for children presenting to the acute review clinic, inpatient, outpatient and community services; virtual ward rounds and clinics; post-discharge review; advice regarding investigation, treatment and transfer; and coordination with SCHN subspecialty, retrieval and other tertiary services.
Additionally, the purpose of the position is to strengthen local paediatric capability and support the development of a sustainable regional workforce. The Staff Specialist will work collaboratively with local paediatricians, junior medical officers, nursing staff, allied health professionals and other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide education, clinical supervision, case-based learning and support for locally relevant clinical pathways. The role will promote shared decision-making, clear clinical accountability and effective communication between SCHN and the participating Local Health District.

What you'll be doing
To provide effective clinical management of patients with Sexually Transmissible Infections, HIV, and other sexual
health needs, including provision of screening and biomedical prevention strategies, under appropriate supervision, including patient assessment, making treatment decisions, performing procedures and maintaining adequate medical records; and to develop expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment. This includes the provision of professional advice and consultancy to outside agencies seeking information on STI/HIV infections. The Advanced Trainee's role includes participation in training program, peer education, clinical audits and research.
The Advanced Trainee is expected to adopt a progressively more independent approach to patient management according to their experience, under the guidance of, and at the discretion of the attending Sexual Health Physician.
This is a position recognised by the Australasia Chapter of Sexual Health Medicine (AChSHM, RACP) for training in sexual health medicine, and other Colleges (e.g RACP, RACGP, RACOG) by negotiation.

NSW Health Pathology's Forensic Medicine service is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) to join our specialised multidisciplinary team. Where you'll be working
With 348 treatment spaces, we are the major Rural Referral Hospital to the North West of NSW. We conduct over 9000 surgical procedures per annum over 5 theatre spaces; with the new facility boasting an additional 3 theatre rooms which have been built for future growth.
Uniquely you will find this position will offer you more hands-on supervised theatre time than your metropolitan colleagues. You will be supporting five General Surgeons, 3FTE SET Trainees and 4FTE Junior Medical Officers.

What you'll be doing
The primary purpose of the role is to provide effective clinical management of general surgical and urology patients, under appropriate supervision, whilst developing expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment. The unaccredited trainee is the key person who works closely with all members of a multi-disciplinary team and deals with matters of an urgent or sensitive nature, whilst exercising discretion, sensitivity and maintaining confidentiality.
Decision-making and supervision will be at the appropriate level according to the unaccredited trainee’s skills, knowledge and experience. They will be expected to adopt a progressively more independent approach to patient management according to their experience, under the guidance of and at the discretion of the appropriate Attending Medical Officer (AMO). All patients managed within the hospitals of the health service are under the direct care of a specialist medical practitioner. All decisions regarding a patient’s care are to be clearly communicated with the specialist responsible for that care.

Westmead Hospital is a leading centre of research, training and specialisation in all fields of Medicine and Dentistry, providing services in Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Kidney and Pancreas transplantation, Cancer Care, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Neonatal Intensive Care, Trauma, Bone Marrow Transplantation, Critical Care, Aged Care and Rehabilitation, Adult Acute Psychiatry (networked with the co-located Cumberland Hospital) as well as other specialised medical and surgical services.
Intensive care unit in Westmead hospital comprises of 46 beds including 10 beds for post cardiac surgical patients. Common ICU admissions include complex medical cases such as sepsis, severe respiratory or cardiac failure, complicated bone marrow and kidney transplant, and surgical cases including trauma, neurosurgery, vascular, cardiothoracic, ENT, plastic surgery, urology, upper GI, hepatobiliary, and colorectal procedures.
What you'll be doing
WSLHD - Provisional Fellow - Intensive Care
·Provisional fellows will be allocated clinical shifts on a roster including day and night shifts.
·As a member of ICU medical team to participate in the management of critically ill patients in the ICU, or on outreach service.
·Daily duties include patient assessment, documentation in patient records, preparation of discharge summaries, ordering, and reviewing investigations, performing ICU procedures such as line insertion.
·Provisional fellows are expected to independently and under mostly indirect supervision of the consultant staff, be capable of assessing critically ill patients, formulating a management plan, managing airways, inserting and supervising central venous and arterial lines, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
·Provisional fellows participate and supervise more junior staff in the Trauma calls, clinical emergency response system (CERS) in the hospital wards, and review patients referred to ICU from wards, ED, and recovery unit.
·Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills are required to lead a team of more junior ICU medical officers, effectively and efficiently communicate and negotiate management plans with other hospital staff, specialty teams, and also patients and their relatives.
Under the supervision of intensive care consultants, provisional fellows, will lead a team of junior medical officers inside ICU and on outreach service. Provisional fellows will be the senior on-site ICU doctors at night shifts.
POSITION SUMMARY AND LOCAL BACKGROUND
Westmead Hospital is the principal referral hospital for western Sydney, renowned for its comprehensive, highly specialised and complex services provided to its community, statewide and nationally.
Patients come to Westmead Hospital for treatment of major trauma, bone marrow transplant, renal transplant, pancreas (islet) cell transplant, neurosurgery, interventional neuroradiology, oral healthcare, radiation oncology, cardiology interventional services, cardiothoracic surgery, advanced gastroenterology, deep brain stimulation, neonatal intensive care, and services for adult eating disorders, complex epilepsy, complex dermatology, adult cystic fibrosis, and Huntington disease.
Intensive care unit in Westmead hospital comprises of 49 beds, including 12 beds for post cardiac surgical patients. Common ICU admissions include complex medical cases such as sepsis, severe respiratory or cardiac failure, complicated bone marrow and kidney transplant, and surgical cases including trauma, neurosurgery, vascular, cardiothoracic, ENT, plastic surgery, urology, upper GI, hepatobiliary, and colorectal procedures.
All required external rotations for the purpose of training with the college of intensive care medicine (CICM) are available for this position. These include anaesthetics, medicine, paediatric ICU, rural ICU. Allocation of rotations will be made following each annual recruitment.
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role.
- Advanced trainee of the College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) who have passed CICM fellowship examination.
- Clinical experience, cognitive skills, and basic technical skills appropriate for managing critically ill patients independently within a supervised complex clinical environment.

Central Coast Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department:
The Career Medical Officer position involves general experience in labour ward management and gynaecology operating. Provide effective medical services to patients under supervision, while developing expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment in inpatients and outpatient areas in the public health organisation. The department also offers training opportunities for CMO grade doctors including access to consultants on the floor training and attendance at regular morbidly and mortality meetings. CCLHD have an active training program that is available for all Medical Officers.
Gosford Hospital is the principal referral hospital and trauma centre for the Central Coast, with over 500 inpatient beds and 24/7 access to the emergency department and operating theatres. A recent $368 million dollar redevelopment delivered a new emergency department, ICU, nuclear medicine facility, special care nursery and expanded medical imaging services.
Wyong Hospital is an acute major metropolitan hospital with over 300 beds providing inpatient, outpatient and emergency services to residents in the northern region of the Central Coast. A recent $200 million expansion delivered a new emergency department, ICU, paediatric unit, inpatient wards, theatres and expanded medical imaging services. Another development is the Wyong Women’s Centre, due for completion at the end of 2024. This will provide more accommodation for antenatal and gynaecology outpatient clinics. In addition, there will be two procedure rooms for more outpatient procedures to be performed,

About the role
The General Medicine Department at Manning Hospital provides generalist care to patients admitted under the General Medicine teams which are led by Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs) and Staff Specialists (SS) physicians. The physicians are also subspecialised in areas including respiratory medicine, renal, gastroenterology, cardiac, geriatrics medicine and Infection Diseases. The department is accredited with the Basic Physician Training (BPT) program.
This SRMO position aims to provide PGY2 and above doctors who are interested in joining Basic Physician Training an opportunity to further develop their skills at a subspecialist level whilst rotating amongst General Medicine teams with various sub-specialities; educational roles; afterhours hospital wards coverage; and also rotating in roles whilst conducting assessments of potential General Medicine patients in the Emergency Department.
The rotation is designed for a full 12 months with guaranteed exposure to all the above areas including a considerable amount of time (to the maximum of 6 months) being the SRMO of one of the General Medicine teams. To provide effective medical services to patients under supervision, while developing expertise in General Medicine practice, in a complex clinical environment in inpatients and outpatient areas at Manning Hospital. The Senior Resident Medical Officer (SRMO) forms part of the General Medicine team within medical workforce and is responsible for providing, under the supervision of the Physician, General Medicine services, to patients admitted or in the process of being admitted under these teams.
This role will include participation in afterhours hospital coverage (Evening, Night and Weekend shifts) and may include rotations to the Wingham Community Hospital - Rehabilitation.

Manning Hospital consists of 180 beds and, within, provides an excellent range of other specialist inpatient services including Emergency Medicine, Palliative Care, General Medicine, Paediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Intensive Care, Psychiatry, Renal, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Anaesthesia, Rehabilitation Services, Urology and Oncology Services to the local communities of Taree, Forster, Tuncurry and surrounding Lower Mid North Coast.
Manning Base Hospital treats approximately 25,000 inpatients, 33,000 Emergency Department patients and 90,700 outpatients each year.
With a population of over 90,300 and with the median age of 52 years old the Lower Mid North Coast Sector is projected to have the highest growth in the group age of 85 years and over.

- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Completion of at least two postgraduate years working as a medical officer with demonstrated competence and commitment to the Basic Physician Training (BPT) program and related General Medicine experience.
- Demonstrated commitment to rural and regional health with an understanding of the health requirements of these communities.
- A professional attitude and flexibility in work role with a preparedness and ability to participate in after-hours overtime and on-call rosters and the required rotations between services to deliver patient care.
- Demonstrated good organisational, time management skills and commitment to Continued Professional Development, quality improvement, patient safety and risk management Demonstrated ability to work within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills (at the required level of competency) and judgment and expertise.
- Demonstrates teamwork, time management and problem solving skills as part of a multidisciplinary team.
