About the OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity to join Mercy Hospital for Women (MHW) and provide leadership across Perioperative Services. As Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), you will oversee the operational and clinical management of the Perioperative Department, including Day Surgery, the four-theatre suite, Post Anaesthetic Care Unit (PACU), and Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD). This pivotal leadership role will support surgical recovery and service reform initiatives, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and key stakeholders to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care. The NUM will play a critical role in ensuring service delivery aligns with contemporary best practice and operates in accordance with ACORN Standards, the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards, and AS 5369:2023 standards and guidelines. Reporting to senior leadership, the Nurse Unit Manager is accountable for the effective management of all departmental resources, including workforce, equipment, budgets, and clinical operations. About the opportunity Neonatal Services at Mercy Hospital for Women comprise a leading tertiary academic centre within the Victorian perinatal and neonatal network and is affiliated with the University of Melbourne. The services include Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Special Care Nursery (SCN), and outpatient paediatric follow-up programs. The NICU is a 58-bed unit (NICU/SCN combined) with more than 1,400 admissions annually, providing high-level perinatal and neonatal care for infants born as early as 22 weeks' gestation. The unit is recognised for excellence in clinical care, academic research, and education. It offers accredited training programs in basic and advanced paediatrics/neonatal medicine, neonatal nursing, and medical student teaching, supporting the development of the next generation of neonatal clinicians. About the opportunity Neonatal Services at Mercy Hospital for Women comprise a leading tertiary academic centre within the Victorian perinatal and neonatal network and is affiliated with the University of Melbourne. The NICU is a 58 bed unit (NICU/SCN combined) with more than 1,400 admissions annually, providing high level perinatal and neonatal care for infants born as early as 22 weeks' gestation. The unit is recognised for excellence in clinical care, academic research, and education. It offers accredited training programs in basic and advanced paediatrics/neonatal medicine, neonatal nursing, and medical student teaching, supporting the development of the next generation of neonatal clinicians.

About the opportunityThe Pain Service Senior Clinical Psychologist P3 is an exciting new role at Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg. The Senior Clinical Psychologist provides psychological assessment, case formulation, psychoeducation and evidence based psychological interventions to outpatients of the Gynaecology Persistent Pelvic Pain Partnership Pathway (P5) Clinic. Working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary Pain Service team based at MHW, the psychologist also provides consultation and liaison to the referring MHW unit and treating team; develops, promotes and improves psychological clinical service delivery, in consultation with the Director of Gynaecology, P5 Clinic Psychiatrist, and Director of Psychology; assists in the development and delivery of multidisciplinary pain management services; attends multidisciplinary reviews, providing consultation, psychoeducation and psychological strategies to assist staff, teams and families/carers. The psychologist may also be involved in supervision of Grade 2 Psychologists and Registrars.
What you'll bring- Current full registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist, with Area of Practice Endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist.
- A minimum of a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology in an APAC accredited postgraduate course.
- At least 5 years' experience as a Psychologist post full AHPRA registration.
- PsyBA approved Psychology Supervisor status (or eligible and working towards same).
- Strong interest/passion and clinical experience in women's health and chronic pain.
- Grade 2 clinical psychologists with significant interest and experience in women's health and chronic pain may be considered.
- Commitment to working within a recovery-oriented framework, with a compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective client care.
- Excellent organisational, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, with the ability to adapt, problem solve and prioritise workload.
- Demonstrated ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships with a diverse range of people, and contribute to a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment.
