This is a rare opportunity to come in on the ground floor of a brand-new acute mental health service and play a lead role in shaping how it runs. As the dedicated, inaugural Nurse Manager for our developing Mental Health Hospital in the Home (MH HITH) team, you'll be directly involved in the service's set-up and in recruiting its inaugural workforce, setting the culture, and working alongside the leadership team to develop, test and refine a model of care designed to reflect our inpatient units; bringing that same standard of acute, multidisciplinary care into the home.

This is a dedicated Nurse Manager position for MH HITH, not a role shared across other units, and sits under Monash Health's new Enterprise Agreement.

This opportunity is open to Registered Psychiatric Nurses at Nurse Manager Grade 5, Level 2 (AG11) or Level 3 (AG12), with the level of appointment reflecting your experience.

• Lead the development, implementation, monitoring and ongoing review of the MH HITH model of care, in close collaboration with the Deputy Operations Manager and senior leadership team.
• Build and shape a new multidisciplinary team, including recruitment, culture-setting, and establishing rosters, workflows and clinical governance from the ground up.
• Provide clinical and operational leadership across a seven-day rotating roster, ensuring safe, high-quality, person-centred acute care is delivered in consumers' homes.
• Set direction to achieve agreed service targets, improve efficiency and optimise the consumer and family/carer experience.
• Provide visible leadership, supervision and professional development for your team, and drive a culture of optimism, innovation and continuous improvement.
• Manage the unit's financial performance, including budget planning, monitoring and reporting.

Mental Health Hospital in the Home (MH HITH) is a developing service providing an acute, 10-bed program designed to partner with consumers and carers to deliver inpatient-like care within the home. The model of care has been designed to reflect our inpatient units, bringing that same standard of acute, multidisciplinary care into the community. A multidisciplinary team works a seven-day rotating roster to ensure comprehensive, collaborative and coordinated acute care, as an alternative to hospital admission.

As the team's inaugural Nurse Manager, you'll play a hands-on role in shaping how the service operates. From the model of care and recruitment through to team culture, working closely with the Deputy Operations Manager, Casey Adult Mental Health Service, and the Mental Health Program's Director of Nursing.

About Monash Health Pathology Service

Alfred Health and Monash Health have established a formal partnership to deliver a Shared Pathology Service as one of three new pathology networks for metropolitan Melbourne. All roles in the Pathology Programs are working to develop the Partnership and ensure we continue to provide high quality care for the patients across the health services.

Monash Health Pathology is an integral part of Monash Health. It is the largest public provider of Pathology services in the state and currently operates 6 laboratories. About the Diagnostic Genomic Service

Within Monash Pathology, Genomics and Molecular Pathology is an integrated Cytogenetic and Molecular genetic services. A close working partnership with Monash Health Translational Precinct (MHTP) makes this a unique centre of excellence in genetic diagnosis.

The Diagnostic Genomic service is based at the Monash Medical Centre (Clayton Campus) but supports activities across all campuses of Monash Health. The position has duties and responsibilities that support the Diagnostic Genomic section of Monash Health / Monash Pathology in the provision of services across Monash Health consistent with the Strategic and Clinical plans of Monash Pathology and Monash Health.

The candidate will be appointed as a part time Genetic Pathologist (0.7 EFT) to Monash Health Pathology, Diagnostic Genomics for a fixed term appointment of three years. This position has a potential to be full time and ongoing.

About the Role

Monash Health Pathology is seeking an energetic, motivated, and detail-oriented Genetic Pathologist for the Department of Diagnostic Genomics, which incorporates Cytogenetics, Genetics & Molecular Pathology Laboratory, and Thalassaemia & Haemophilia Reference Laboratory. This is a part time position (0.7 EFT), fixed term contract for 3 years with a potential for additional hours and ongoing appointment.

The position contributes to providing appropriate clinical supervision as per NPAAC guidelines, and effective functioning of the Cytogenetics Division within the Department of Diagnostic Genomics with a potential to be involved in cutting edge technologies, service growth and research and development. The position will work in collaboration with the part time senior genetic pathologist, molecular pathologists in Genetics & Molecular Pathology and molecular haematologists in Thalassaemia.

About the ED Mental Health & AOD Response at Monash Health (EMAAP- Emergency Mental Health, AOD, Allied, Peer Team)

The MMC Emergency Department has an inter professional team which brings together clinicians from mental health, alcohol and other drug (AOD), Social Work and Lived Experience to provide specialised and integrated care to patients presenting to the ED with high acuity mental health and AOD issues, and complex psychosocial needs. The Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) role is a fantastic opportunity to join the team in the ED, enhancing the quality of care for people presenting to the Clayton Emergency Department with mental health or behavioural health issues through clinical leadership, collaboration, consultation and support of ED clinicians. Working at an advanced nursing practice level, you'll provide evidence-based, person-centred clinical leadership and expertise, and be accountable for your own clinical practice while providing support and direction to the inter-disciplinary team.

About the Role

We have exciting opportunities available for registered nurses to join Monash Children’s at Home based in Clayton at the Monash Children’s Hospital. This is a Part-time, ongoing opportunity.

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will work largely independently, providing a safe, effective alternative model of care for Newborn/Paediatric patients needing ongoing nursing management at home. In this way, patients spend less time in the acute setting, and we concurrently uphold our commitment to patient centred care.  

Working closely with patients’ families, hospital based medical, nursing and allied health staff and community agencies, you will ensure that patients enjoy a safe transition from the acute hospital setting to the home environment. Your specific responsibilities in this role will include: 

• Planning, evaluating and maintaining a high standard of safe and effective care for children 
• Conducting comprehensive health assessments and educating those involved in care planning, direct care and discharge planning in the ambulatory setting 
• Ensuring timely discharge planning to facilitate patients’ safe and effective transition from hospital to home 
• Demonstrating your commitment to developing, promoting and progressing continuous quality improvement initiatives 
• Role modelling excellence in safe nursing practice consistent with our expectations of leaders across Monash Health 

About You

About the Role

Join our team as a Food Services Assistant on part time, ongoing to work at  Boollam Boollam Aged. In this role, you will be guided under the leadership of the Food Services Manager and working with the broader Support Services team.

FSAs play a vital role in providing high-quality meal services to patients and supporting overall patient nutrition and food safety. FSAs are responsible for the preparation and delivery of meals, cleaning of food service areas, all whilst ensuring patient’s dietary needs are met accurately and efficiently. FSAs contribute to patient care by ensuring meals are delivered on time, safely, accurately and with respect.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Delivering and collecting meal trays and Burlodge trolleys to and from service areas
• Regenerating and preparing meals in line with production and clinical needs, including special functions
• Cleaning and sanitising food trays, food preparation areas, and kitchen equipment
• Operating dishwashers and other food service equipment safely and efficiently
• Restocking pantries and trolleys; whilst maintaining food stock levels as required
• Completing all food safety and cleaning documentation accurately and in a timely manner

We are looking for four candidates to join our pool staff team at Boollam Kingston, with each successful candidate offered 12 hours per fortnight.

The pool positions are designed to cover vacant shifts across morning, afternoon and evening periods, Monday to Sunday, depending on business requirements.

Please note that these positions do not have fixed weekly shifts, as shifts will vary based on operational needs.

About You

To ensure your success in this role, you will bring experience in food services within a hospital, aged care, or hospitality setting with strong demonstrated knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene standards. You have a passion for patient care and nutrition, ensuring patients are treated with respect and empathy. You are a reliable and punctual team member with great verbal and written communication skills; and intermediate computer skills.
